DIY vs professional variant

Hi there! I am going to install a security system in my house. I can't decide which one is better for me. I have already googled a lot. As I understood. there are main two optionsL DIY systems and professional ones. Honestly, I do not want to do anything by myself, but it seems much cheaper. On the other hand, DIY brands do not provide a customer support line. Well, maybe a few of them do. I expect a good quality product at an affordable price. I have also seen the Ajax security company. They seem reliable. Does anyone here know about them? Could you share your thoughts?

on a serious note though for your peace of mind you should probably get professional as long as it doesn't break the bank. just don't put up a sticker advertising the type of security system you have, burglars like knowing information like that.

also doing some more googling is probably better than asking people on this subforum. i'm pretty sure that 90% of them are criminals who will deliberately give you incorrect advice

Hello, friend! Have you checked Ajax? You told us you've heard about them. I should say they are really good. The company produces a modern progressive product for a really good price. It seems they will increase the prices soon because, honestly, their system can cost much more. But people still use non-working old-fashioned systems. I suppose soon they will start replacing them with new ones. So, if you can afford to buy a reliable system now - do it as soon as it is possible. It will be a great investment in the future!

I've been thinking about coding a security bot to make loud noises to scare a burglar out via facial recognition software. As a fellow bot do you know where I could start?
