Bisharp [QC 3/3] [GP 0/2]

Bisharp is a fantastic wallbreaker and sweeper in the UU tier thanks to its great offensive typing, high Attack stat, and ability to further bolster this with Swords Dance. Its access to Knock Off provides Bisharp with a spammable move that helps it cripple many of its checks such as Keldeo, Kommo-o, and Skarmory. Bisharp also has access to a powerful STAB Sucker Punch that helps make up for its mediocre Speed tier and lets it pick off foes like Chandelure and Alakazam. After a Swords Dance boost, it can also give bulkier Pokemon like Rotom-H and Volcanion issues revenge killing it. Defiant makes Bisharp a great Defog deterrent, it gives Bisharp an advantage against Sticky Web teams, and it can prevent Intimidate users like Salamence and Krookodile revenge killing Bisharp easily. Bisharp is held back by its subpar defensive stats that prevent it from taking advantage of its defensive typing to check foes like Nihilego well. Bisharp struggles to break through physically defensive Pokemon like Skarmory and Quagsire, though the former can only reliably take it on if running either Body Press or Whirlwind. Bisharp's typing leaves it with a crippling 4x weakness to Fighting-type moves, which leaves it easily taken advantage of by the tier's Fighting-types such as Keldeo and Kommo-o, this being further exemplified by their greater Speed tier and resistance to Sucker Punch. Bisharp's mediocre Speed tier leaves it overly reliant on Sucker Punch to deal with faster offensive threats; however, this can be easily taken advantage of by foes like Chandelure and Kyurem that can set up a Substitute to safely tackle it.

[SET COMMENTS]
Iron Head is a strong STAB move that prevents a majority of Dark-resistant Pokemon such as Conkeldurr and Tapu Bulu from freely switching into Bisharp. Knock Off is very spammable early-game as it can help cripple foes like Incineroar and Keldeo; however, it will struggle to break past certain foes like Skarmory once its item has been removed. Sucker Punch provides Bisharp with a powerful priority STAB move that prevents offensive threats like Chandelure revenge killing it. Defiant lets Bisharp take advantage of Defog attempts; however, it has to be wary, as common Defog users like Salamence and Rotom-W commonly carry super effective coverage or status for it. Defiant also makes it harder for Intimidate users like Salamence and Krookodile to revenge kill Bisharp. Life Orb is preferred as it helps Bisharp KO Hatterene with Iron Head and, after a Swords Dance, Bisharp can OHKO the likes of Rotom-W and Amoonguss with Sucker Punch and Knock Off, respectively. Black Glasses is an alternative option that still boosts the power of its Dark-type moves without the ramifications of being worn down by recoil. A Jolly nature can be considered to outspeed Pokemon like Adamant Mamoswine, Tapu Bulu, and Modest Nidoqueen, otherwise an Adamant is preferred to net the KOs previously mentioned.

Bisharp fits best on offensive teams that value the wallbreaking power it can provide and the potential to clean late-game once the enemy team has been weakened. Bisharp should ideally set up on foes like Amoonguss and non-Earthquake Tangrowth, as long as another partner has already been put to sleep by Spore or Sleep Powder, so partners like Zeraora and Rotom-W can help bring Bisharp in safely against them. They can also pressure Skarmory for Bisharp. Entry hazards are crucial to wear down foes like Skarmory, Kommo-o, and Keldeo into range of Bisharp's attacks so setters like Mew and Kommo-o pair well alongside it. These hazards also encourage for use of Defog, which can provide Bisharp with opportunities to activate Defiant to clean more easily. Ribombee can provide Sticky Web support to make Bisharp less reliant on Sucker Punch, as well as bring it in safely with U-turn against foes like Jirachi to set up a Swords Dance. Ribombee can also help offensively pressure Fighting-types. Azumarill is able to pressure Ground- and Fire-types like Krookodile and Rotom-H, as well as check Fighting-types like Keldeo. In return, Bisharp can help wear down foes like Kommo-o and Tapu Bulu into range of a Belly Drum-boosted Aqua Jet. Slowking can provide Future Sight support, which prevents Fighting-types like Kommo-o from being able to switch in once Bisharp is brought in safely via Teleport. Kyurem is a great wallbreaker that pairs well with Bisharp as it can remove many of its defensive checks such as Quagsire and Skarmory. In return, Bisharp can help offensively check Steel-types like Scizor and Jirachi.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

An Occa Berry can be used to stomach a hit from defensive Salamence and retaliating with a boosted Knock Off; however, Bisharp still can't take a hit from many of the tier's Fire-types even with the berry. Low Kick is an option for Pokemon like Cobalion and Incineroar, but these Pokemon aren't very common and Bisharp usually has to give up Swords Dance to fit it. Safety Goggles can be used so that Bisharp can set up a Swords Dance against Sleep inducers users such as Amoonguss and Tangrowth.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fighting-types**: Bisharp's typing leaves it with a 4x weakness to Fighting-type moves allowing Pokemon like Conkeldurr and Keldeo to take advantage of it. The tier's Fighting-types can all stomach a boosted Sucker Punch from Bisharp and revenge kill it thanks to their greater Speed tier, and in Conkeldurr's case, access to priority Mach Punch.

**Physically Defensive Pokemon**: Physically defensive Pokemon like Skarmory, Tangrowth, and Quagsire are a real struggle for Bisharp to deal with. Skarmory can OHKO Bisharp with Body Press or force it out with Whirlwind. Tangrowth can easily take a boosted hit and then use either Sleep Powder to shut it down or retaliate with Earthquake. Quagsire's access to Unaware allows it to check Bisharp consistently, though it must be wary of the initial Knock Off.

**Dark-types**: Dark-types like Incineroar and Krookodile resist Sucker Punch and threaten to OHKO Bisharp with their super effective coverage; however, Bisharp can beat them once chipped into range of a boosted Knock Off and Sucker Punch, respectively.

**Ground-types**: Ground-types like Krookodile, Nidoqueen, and Mamoswine are faster and can pressure Bisharp; however, after a Swords Dance, the latter two can be OHKO'd by Sucker Punch.

[OVERVIEW]

- Excellent physical sweeper and wallbreaker thanks to its high Attack stat, great offensive typing, and access to Swords Dance with fantastic array of STAB moves These are the main qualities going for Bisharp.

- Access to strong STAB priority in Sucker Punch to prevent threats like Latias and Victini from revenge killing it. Also mention that after a Swords Dance boost even bulkier Pokemon like Rotom-H and Volcanion are left unable to revenge kill it.

- Follow this up with a point about Defiant. Defiant makes it the best Defog deter in the tier; however, you should explain how it struggles to switch into many of them safely. Also mention how Defiant prevents Pokemon like Salamence and Krookodile from safely revenge killing Bisharp, due to Intimidate giving it an Attack boost. Krook only needs minimal chip + an SD boost to KO Krookodile with Sucker Punch.

- Requires a bit of setup and support due to subpar typing You are right in the fact that it needs support but I wouldn't explain that here. Keep this point about its defensive utility. Bisharp actually has a decent typing defensively, the issue is its rather mediocre defensive stats preventing it from being a good enough check to things like Nihilego or Latias. Say something along these lines.

- Difficult to switch in
This is just too vague

- Countered by common meta threats like Rotom Heat, Terrakion, Zeraora, and Kommo
You have a little bit of a misconception of what a counter is. A counter is something that can always switch into Bisharp and beat it 1vs1. Out of all of these none of them are counters, though defensive Kommo-o is a decent pivot. Instead, make this a point about how it can struggle to break through Skarmory (one of its best defensive checks). Then lead into its crippling Fighting-type weakness leaves it vulnerable to common Fighting-types like Keldeo, Kommo-o, and Terrakion.

Have a point about Bisharp's low Speed tier making it very reliant on Sucker Punch against most offensive threats.

Paragraph 1

- Iron Head for STAB steel and extra type coverage. Good for fending off things like Adamant Mamoswine and flinch chance is a good added bonus that can be a game changer Unless you are Jolly you are slower than mamo anyway and given a lot of Mamo are Jolly too this is a little sketchy. I would rather Iron Head be mentioned as a strong STAB option preventing Dark resists like Terrakion, Conkeldurr, and Tapu Bulu freely pivoting into it.

- Knock Off for STAB dark and utility, also good when you think the opponent is going to set up Mention some Pokemon it can cripple that would commonly switch into it. For example, it can remove a key item off Keldeo and Incineroar. You should also mention that Bisharp will struggle to KO Skarmory after an SD boost if its item isn't intact so you should be wary of spamming it in this matchup.

- Sucker Punch for STAB dark and priority, go to move against offensive threats Give examples of some threats Sucker Punch prevents revenge killing it

- Ability always Defiant, Inner Focus too niche and Pressure not as good as Defiant (will be covered more in depth in paragraph form) You don't need to mention these other abilities, just focus on what Defiant does for it.

- Item is usually Life Orb or Black Glasses
- Life Orb pairs well given that Bisharp is already very fragile and OHKO'd by very common moves like Close Combat or Earthquake anyway, so the added damage every turn isn't much of an issue. Life Orb also allows you to 2HKO Azumarill (before Belly Drum,) Tapu Bulu, and Galarian Moltres with Iron Head, and Gyarados with Sucker Punch or Knock Off These examples aren't awful but I would focus on SD calcs. For example after an SD Sucker OHKOs max HP Rotom-H. The extra power also improves its ability to KO Kyurem with sucker and Amoonguss with Knock Off. State these as the reasons LO is preferred. Then say Black Glasses is an option to improve Bisharp's longevity while maintaining some power behind its attacks.

- Nature is always either Adamant or Jolly. Adamant is the preferred nature but Jolly can be considered to allows for outspeeding things Pokemon like Adamant Mamoswine and Tapu Bulu, and OHKO them with Iron Head.

- EV wise always max attack, then take pick of HP or Speed. Usually opt for Speed since Bisharp's typing typically always makes him get OHKO'd without Chople Berry or Occa Berry. Last 4 can go into either Defense or Special Defense.

Paragraph 2

Have a line saying Bisharp fits best on offense teams that value its incredible wallbreaking capabilities and ability to be an effective late-game cleaner.

- Latias pairs great with Bisharp as its move access and typing counters Fighting types that Bisharp really fears
- Utility Latias can also use Healing Wish to let Bisharp have another opportunity to sweep if it hasn't been KO'd
- Latias can avoid Earthquake completely which Bisharp fears greatly

Latias is a good partner but this doesn't need to be three points. Compress everything into one

- Hazard setters like Mew, and Azelf, and Jirachi pair excellently as they let Bisharp OHKO more reliably and even turn the tables on common threats like Zeraora Zeraora runs Heavy-Duty Boots so it is unaffected by hazards. Regardless it can't revenge kill a +2 Bisharp anyway. Mention how hazards can help wear down Pokemon like Keldeo and Kyurem into Sucker Punch range. You should also mention how hazards pressure the opponent to Defog more, which = more Defiant opportunities.

- Suicide Leads deal good damage with Misty Explosion/Explosion that let Bisharp come in and finish the opponent off Specify Mew and Azelf because those are the primary leads that do that. I would rather you say it can bring Bisharp in safely to potentially set up than revenge kill though. Merge this with your last point.

- Jirachi pairs well with stealth rock and good utility like Wish and U-Turn that let Bisharp come in to sweep again, and can tank hits from fighting type moves Jirachi isn't a Fighting-type check. Instead say it can help make up for Bisharps lack of defensive utility to handle Psychic-types like Latias.

- Azumarill pairs great by beating ground and fire types that Bisharp hates
- Banded STAB Aqua Jet fantastic prio move that can KO fire and ground types
- Great defensive typing

Azumarill is fine as a partner but again it doesn't need to be 3 points. Compress it into one and go into more depth. Give examples.

- Tangrowth pairs great by soaking physical hits that Bisharp won't want to take
- Easily soaks physical hits and resists Earthquake
Not commonly run on the playstyle Bisharp best fits on

Some stuff I want added:

  • Pokemon it should attempt to set up on.
  • Add partners that provide Sticky Web support to make up for its low Speed tier.

=============

- Occa Berry and Chople Berry can be used effectively if your team is considerably weak to Fighting types or you don't have an answer to strong Fire move users, like Mystical Fire Latias Remove the Chople Berry mention, pretty much any fighting coverage aimed at it is likely KOing it through the berry. So focus on Occa letting it live Mystical Fire from Latias and Flamethrower from defensive Salamence more easily.

- Low Kick is an strong option for things like Cobalion, Incineroar, and even opposing Bisharp Mention how it usually has to drop Swords Dance for this though, which greatly hinders its wallbreaking potential so it's generally not worth it.

Checks and Counters
===================

- Terrakion is arguably Bisharp's hardest counter, typing is very hard for Bisharp to break through and hitting it with Dark STAB triggers justified and makes Terrakion a nightmare to deal with
- Close Combat is guaranteed OHKO without Chople Berry
- Ground types, namely Nidoqueen, Mamoswine and Krookodile are really hard for Bisharp to deal with
- While immunity to Nidoqueen Poison moves and Steel being supereffective against Ice sounds good on paper, the only one that can be outsped is Mamoswine and only if Bisharp is running Jolly nature while Mamoswine runs Adamant nature
- STAB Earthquake guaranteed OHKO on Bisharp
- Letting Krookodile get a free Moxie trigger is very detrimental. Recommend switching out instead of giving a free attack boost that will potentially lead to your entire team getting swept

This formatting is wrong you need to stick to what the template provides. Here is my Latias analysis to give an example. Change the formatting to be like this. I will give you the titles of the things I want to see.
  • Fighting-types
  • Physically Defensive Pokemon
  • Dark-types - they resist sucker and most revenge kill Bisharp
While yes Ground-types can OHKO it, only Krook and Quag and switchin and revenge kill. Krook can be covered under Ground-types and Quag Phys Def mons.

Paragraph 1

- Iron Head is a strong STAB Steel option that prevents common Dark resistant Pokemon, like Terrakion, Conkeldurr, and Tapu Bulu from switching in freely.

- Knock Off for STAB dark and utility, and can cripple typical Leftovers reliant Pokemon like bulky Jirachi and Tangrowth. Keep in mind that it will struggle to KO Skarmory even with a Swords Dance boost if it doesn't have its item, so be careful about spamming it when this is applicable.

Paragraph 2

- Bisharp fits best on heavy offensive teams that value its high wallbreaking capabilities and potential to be a very strong late game cleaner.

- Latias pairs great with Bisharp as its move access and typing counters Fighting types that Bisharp really fears. Utility Latias can also make use of Healing Wish to give Bisharp another chance to sweep, and is a great switch in to avoid earthquakes that Bisharp wants to avoid

Banded STAB Aqua Jet is a fantastic option for these threats, and will 2HKO from full or OHKO otherwise. Pair this with a great defensive typing, and it covers all the bases that Bisharp needs covered.

- Ribombee is a good option as a Sticky Web setter that can help make up for Bisharp's low Speed. It can make use of U-Turn to let Bisharp switch in safely, and bring Psychic to help beat out Fighting types that Bisharp fears.

- For setup fodder, you can use Amoonguss or Tangrowth if something on your team is already asleep, and Tangrowth is even safer if it doesn't have Earthquake. Without Earthquake, Tangrowth isn't going to threaten Bisharp at all, and due to Amoonguss's typing and attacking moves it runs, it won't be able to do anything meaningful to Bisharp.

Tangrowth, on the other hand, can very easily outsustain Bisharp with Leech Seed and Leftovers, and it can even threaten Bisharp with an Earthquake. Likewise, Quagsire can outsustain and threaten Bisharp with an Earthquake.

**Opposing Dark Types**: Other Dark types also pose a threat to Bisharp. All of them resist Sucker Punch, and Pokemon like Krookodile can OHKO it with an Earthquake.

- Occa Berry can be used as a good option if your team lacks coverage for Mystical Fire Latias or a Flamethrower from a defensive Salamence. It's not about the team lacking coverage for them. For Latias, it gives Bisharp a safer one time switch in and then proceed to KO with Sucker or force it out. For defensive Salamence it is easier to risk switching in expecting a Defog to get the Defiant boost. Then proceed to beat it with Knock Off.

It runs Helmet, you should be saying it can stomach a boosted hit and then either use Sleep Powder or Earthquake Likewise, Quagsire can outsustain and threaten Bisharp with an Earthquake. - Fantastic ability in Defiant, making it the best Defog deterrent in the tier; however, Bisharp does have to be wary pivoting into common Defog users like Salamence and Rotom-W, as they commonly carry super effective coverage or status to cripple Bisharp. Defiant also prevents common Intimidate users like Salamence and Krookodile from revenge killing Bisharp easily, since they will end up boosting Bisharp's Attack.

- Bisharp has a decent defensive typing. but it is let down by its subpar defensive stats preventing Bisharp from checking powerful threats like Nihilego or Latias maybe mention as well that it just overall has next to no defensive utility whatsover, especially for a steel-type, which can hurt a team by allowing breakers like terrak to run free on it

- Struggles to break through some physically defensive Pokemon like Body Press Skarmory and Quagsire. Skarmory's extremely high Defense makes it difficult for Bisharp to muscle past and can chip Bisharp with Rocky Helmet, while Quagsire's Unaware allows it to beat Bisharp through the combination of Recover and Earthquake.

- Typing leaves Bisharp with a 4x weakness to Fighting type moves, which makes it easily revenge killed by the likes of Keldeo and Kommo-O. Fighting types also resist Sucker Punch, a move Bisharp is reliant on due to its low Speed.

- Low Speed makes Bisharp very reliant on Sucker Punch vs common offensive threats like Latias. This forces you to mindgame your opponent in the event that they play around Sucker Punch.

just imo, regarding bullet point 2 and the last one, i'd say something early on about how swords dance + sucker punch can fix its poor matchup versus faster teams, then later you could talk about how this overreliance on sucker punch can lead to mind games

Move 4: Sucker Punch

Ability: Defiant
Nature: Adamant / Jolly
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Paragraph 1

- Iron Head is a strong STAB Steel option that prevents common Dark resistant Pokemon, like Terrakion, Conkeldurr, and Tapu Bulu from switching in freely.

- Knock Off for STAB dark and utility, and can remove key items from Pokemon like Incineroar and Keldeo. Keep in mind that it will struggle to break through Skarmory even with a Swords Dance boost if Skarmory doesn't have its item, so be careful about spamming it in certain matchups.

- Sucker Punch for STAB dark and priority, which lets Bisharp prevent threats like Latias and Victini from revenge killing it. def mention it's bisharps best tool against faster-paced teams as well

- Defiant makes Bisharp the best Defog deterrent in the tier and prevents Intimidate users like Salamence and Krookodile from revenge killing Bisharp as easily.

- Life Orb allows Bisharp to OHKO Rotom-H after a Swords Dance with Sucker Punch, and also improves Bisharp's ability to KO Kyurem with Sucker Punch and Amoonguss with Knock Off. Black Glasses improves Bisharp's longevity while still boosting the power of its Dark-type STAB moves. a life orb also boosts iron heads power which gives it more respectable power (ohkoing hatt etc)

- Adamant is the preferred nature but Jolly can be considered to outspeed Pokemon like Adamant Mamoswine and Tapu Bulu, and OHKO them with Iron Head. i'd mention why adamant is better (much better breaking power unboosted) and that jolly outspeeds modest nidoqueen too

Paragraph 2

- Bisharp fits best on heavy offensive teams that value its high wallbreaking capabilities and potential to be a very strong late-game cleaner.

- Bisharp should attempt to set up on foes like Amoonguss or Tangrowth if something on your team is already asleep, and Tangrowth is even safer if it doesn't have Earthquake. Without Earthquake, Tangrowth isn't going to threaten Bisharp at all, and due to Amoonguss's typing and attacking moves it runs, it won't be able to do anything meaningful to Bisharp.

- Latias pairs great with Bisharp as it can check Fighting-types, like Keldeo and Kommo-O, that Bisharp really fears. Latias can also make use of Healing Wish to give Bisharp another chance to sweep, and is a great switch in to avoid Earthquakes from the likes of Nidoqueen, Tangrowth, Krookodile and Quagsire that Bisharp wants to avoid mention here latias beats skarm and quag for bisharp too

- Hazard setters like Mew and Azelf pair excellently as they let Bisharp OHKO more reliably and even turn the tables on common threats like Keldeo and Kyurem. The hazards will help put these two into Sucker Punch range after a Sword Dance boost. These two can also make use of Misty Explosion or Explosion to allow Bisharp a chance to switch in safely and set up Swords Dance. Finally, these hazards encourage Defog attempts which gives Bisharp more chances to trigger Defiant. mixed kommo-o is a decent stealth rock setter to mention imo if you wish to use bisharp on a bo/balance team; theyre pretty overwhelming for other teams when used together + bisharp wipes slowking out easily for kommo

- Jirachi pairs well with Stealth Rock and good utility like Healing Wish and U-turn that let Bisharp come in to sweep again, and it can make up for Bisharp's lack of defensive capabilities to handle Psychic-types like Latias.

- Azumarill pairs great by beating Ground- and Fire-ypes. that Bisharp hates, such as Krookodile, Nidoqueen, Mamoswine, and Victini. Because of its great offensive type, it excels at removing Ground-, Fire- and Fighting-types. It also functions as a good check to Skarmory, and it appreciates Bisharp's wallbreaking potential to allow Belly Drum sets to sweep more easily. azu isn't really a skarm check necessarily; twilight here was trying to say that azu + bisharp can overwhelm skarmory because it would be put in a situation where it has to switch into both constantly. i'd just reword to reflect that

- Ribombee is a good option as a Sticky Web setter that can help make up for Bisharp's low Speed. It can make use of U-turn to let Bisharp switch in safely, and bring Psychic to help beat out Fighting types that Bisharp fears. It also has STAB Moonblast for Fighting-types.

in this section imo:

mention nidoqueen as a partner here. bisharp breaking through slowking + chansey (nidoqueen's biggest answers) is awesome for it. nidoqueen also helps bisharp out because it has a good matchup against bisharps checks (skarm tangrowth amoonguss).

mention slowking after latias or by itself; slowking checks keld + kommo decently as well as checking nidoqueen + also provides a slow teleport to get bisharp in safely. future sight + bisharp also can be pretty annoying for other teams and makes pokemon such as kommo-o hesitant to pivot in

add kyurem, both of its sets handle all of bisharp's bulkier checks (skarm, the fat grass-types, quag) very well

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

- Occa Berry can be used as an option to let Bisharp have a safer one time switch in to Latias so that it can KO it with Sucker Punch or force it out. For defensive Salamence it's easier to risk switching in expecting a Defog for a Defiant boost, then beating it with Knock Off.
- Low Kick is an option for things like Cobalion, Incineroar, and even opposing Bisharp. Normally you have to drop Swords Dance for this however, so it's generally not worth the tradeoff.

taunt might be worth a mention, stops the bleeding versus a quag about to recover so you can pivot out or a skarmory without body press. would then mention taunt struggles to fit on the main set bc all the other moves have more utility and that it usually doesnt do much after taunting anyways

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fighting-types**: Due to Bisharp's typing, what it struggles with most is Fighting-types like Conkeldurr and Keldeo. They can very easily OHKO Bisharp with Fighting type moves, and due to Bisharp relying on STAB moves that Fighting types resist, it can't do much in return. All of them resist Sucker Punch and outspeed Bisharp (in Conkeldurr's case, it beats Bisharp with priority Mach Punch.) mention terrakion here, it can't rly switch in but ohkos easily and gains a +1 to its attack from sucker punch

**Physically Defensive Pokemon**: Physically Defensive Pokemon like Skarmory, Tangrowth, and Quagsire are a real struggle for Bisharp to deal with. Skarmory will OHKO Bisharp with Body Press, and even if it isn't running it, it will outsustain and chip away at Bisharp with Rocky Helmet. Tangrowth can easily take a boosted hit and then use either Sleep Powder or Earthquake to shut Bisharp down. Likewise, Quagsire can outsustain and threaten Bisharp with an Earthquake due to Quagsire's ability in Unaware.

**Dark-types**: Dark-types like Incineroar and Krookodile resist Sucker Punch and threaten to OHKO Bisharp with their super effective coverage. However, Bisharp can break through them with a little bit of chip.

ground-types should get a mention here, krookodile/nidoqueen/mamoswine pressure it pretty well if can't ko them with sucker punch

MinhtheMage implement this am check and a QC member will go over it. The only thing I would exclude from the check is the following:

"mention nidoqueen as a partner here. bisharp breaking through slowking + chansey (nidoqueen's biggest answers) is awesome for it. nidoqueen also helps bisharp out because it has a good matchup against bisharps checks (skarm tangrowth amoonguss)."

There are enough additions of hazard setters that pair with Bisharp so adding Nidoqueen just bulks the analysis up too much is all.

- Excellent physical sweeper and wallbreaker with a great offensive typing, high Attack stat, and access to Swords Dance. Knock Off is incredibly spammable early due to the progress it makes by removing items would give a few examples of mons it tends to remove items from early game like this, ie. "by removing items from targets like Tangrowth and Kommo-o".

- Access to strong STAB priority in Sucker Punch to prevent Latias and Victini from being able to revenge kill it. Not just that but like, sucker punch is also a decent tool to revenge some stuff like Latias too. After a Swords Dance boost bulkier Pokemon like Rotom-H and Volcanion struggle to revenge kill Bisharp, and Swords Dance boosted Sucker Punch helps to make up for Bisharp's low Speed tier.

- Fantastic ability in Defiant, making it the best Defog deterrent in the tier; however, Bisharp does have to be wary pivoting into common Defog users like Salamence and Rotom-W, as they commonly carry super effective coverage or status to cripple Bisharp. Pretty much every Defog user atm can severely punish Bisharp, stuff like volc/rotomheat etc too. Defiant also prevents common Intimidate users like Salamence and Krookodile from revenge killing Bisharp easily, since they will end up boosting Bisharp's Attack.

- Bisharp has a decent defensive typing. but it is let down by its subpar defensive stats preventing Bisharp from checking powerful threats like Nihilego or Latias. well it still has sucker punch so its still an ok offensive check to them, i'd be more exact here and mention that it just really struggles to switch into Pokemon like these, Latias can just OHKO it with mfire while it only takes a tbolt from nihi once. It has next to no defensive utility allowing breakers like Terrakion to run free.

Might want to comment on the fact it can also result in some pretty free switches from opponents like Latias etc that you can't afford to not click sucker vs because they can OHKO you.

Might also want to try and tie these points in a little when you write up? like the low speed is a problem around stuff like defensive kommo-o / offensive bulu etc that you could otherwise break through with ur steel stab.

Don't know that i like the kyurem example, it can play around your suckers with subs fairly well, i'd either mention specs specifically and probably warn about subroost, or use a diff example. Black Glasses improves Bisharp's longevity while still boosting the power of its Dark-type STAB moves. It also allows Iron Head to OHKO Pokemon like Hatterene.

- Adamant is the preferred nature for its unboosted wallbreaking power, but Jolly can be considered to outspeed Pokemon like Adamant Mamoswine, Tapu Bulu, and Modest Nidoqueen, and OHKO them with Iron Head.

Paragraph 2

- Bisharp fits best on heavy heavy offense isn't rly a common "definition", just say like offensive teams or something, especially since it doesn't just fit on HO - as you demonstrate with some teammate mentions like slowking and kyurem. offensive teams that value its high wallbreaking capabilities and potential to be a very strong late-game cleaner.

Latias can also make use of Healing Wish to give Bisharp another chance to sweep, and is a great switch in to avoid Earthquakes from the likes of Nidoqueen, Tangrowth, Krookodile, Quagsire and Skarmory that Bisharp wants to avoid Skarmory doesn't run EQ, only AV Tang does which lati not a good switch into, and lati is a very dodgy krook switch in.

Mixed Kommo-O is also a good option, as Bisharp and Kommo-O are very overwhelming when used together, and Bisharp works very well for taking out Slowking for Kommo-O.

- Jirachi pairs well with Stealth Rock and good utility like Healing Wish and U-turn that let Bisharp come in to sweep again, and it can make up for Bisharp's lack of defensive capabilities to handle Psychic-types like Latias.

- Azumarill pairs great by beating Ground- and Fire-types. that Bisharp hates, such as Krookodile, Nidoqueen, Mamoswine, and Victini. Because of its great offensive type, it excels at removing Ground-, Fire- and Fighting-types. It also functions as a good check to Skarmory, as having to switch into Bisharp and Azumarill constantly will wear it down very quickly. This isn't what it being a check to Skarmory means, which would suggest you are either switching azu into skarm or forcing skarm out with it (which is factually untrue). Instead you should comment that it wears down Skarmory which is a shared check betwen Bish and Azu. It appreciates Bisharp's wallbreaking potential to allow Belly Drum sets to sweep more easily. What can Bisharp do speciically to allow this for azu here? eg. it can put stuff like bulu and offensive kommo-o into +6 jet range.

Go into more detail about what Sticky webs do for bisharp here. Stuff like Keldeo, Kommo-o, Terrakion etc suddenly become slower than you so it makes sweeping after an SD much more feasible.

- Slowking excels at checking Keldeo and Kommo-O, as well as other threats like Nidoqueen. It can also provide a slow Teleport to allow Bisharp to safely switch in. Future Sight in combination with Bisharp can be really annoying for other teams and makes common threats to Bisharp like Kommo-O hesitate to pivot in.

- Kyurem is great to pair with Bisharp as it can handle all of Bisharp's bulkier checks like Skarmory, Amoonguss, Tangrowth and Quagsire.

- Taunt is an option to stop Quagsires from Recovering so you can pivot out or for beating a Skarmory that doesn't have Body Press. However, Taunt struggles to find a slot in the main set because all of Bisharp's other moves have more utility, on top of not being able to do much after a Taunt regardless. discussed this one with Twi since I thought it sounded not worth including. We agreed that its just never going to be worth fitting the moveslot for when stuff like skarm/quag still just threaten u anyway (if skarm has bp) and you cant rly afford to drop anything for it.

**Fighting-types**: Due to Bisharp's typing, what it struggles with most is Fighting-types like Conkeldurr and Keldeo. All of them resist Sucker Punch and outspeed Bisharp (in Conkeldurr's case, it beats Bisharp with priority Mach Punch.) Conks probably not the most important example to give -> something like Kommo-o or terrakion should probably be brought up first here. Can still keep the conk mention at end about mach.

**Physically Defensive Pokemon**: Physically Defensive Pokemon like Skarmory, Tangrowth, and Quagsire are a real struggle for Bisharp to deal with. Skarmory will OHKO Bisharp with Body Press, and even if it isn't running it, it will outsustain and chip away at Bisharp with Rocky Helmet can also whirlwind away your boosts still if not bpress, and you struggle to break through i t if uve already knocked it. Tangrowth can easily take a boosted hit and then use either Sleep Powder or Earthquake to shut Bisharp down. an EQ doesn't so might be worth being careful about how you word this ( does like 53-62 so will be a big problem with LO chip still though) Likewise, Quagsire can outsustain and threaten Bisharp with an Earthquake due to Quagsire's ability in Unaware.

**Dark-types**: Dark-types like Incineroar and Krookodile resist Sucker Punch and threaten to OHKO Bisharp with their super effective coverage. However, Bisharp can break through them with a little bit of chip.

+3 252+ Atk Life Orb Bisharp Sucker Punch vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Incineroar: 216-255 (54.9 - 64.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

i wouldnt rly cal lthat a little amount of chip for Incin. You might need to be a little more detailed here to rly explain it all. I'd definitely mention how Defiant worsens their ability to deal with you; Krook can't switch into you directly either because it'll then just flat die to an Iron Head, while Incin can struggle to switch in very reliably because losing its boots can make that calc much more realistic.

**Ground-types**: Ground types like Krookodile, Nidoqueen and Mamoswine can pressure Bisharp well if it can't OHKO them with Sucker Punch. If we going to have this be a point, i'd like it to be a bit more specific about these matchups, state that they can all offensively check it before a Swords Dance, but that the latter 2 die to +2 Sucker, would try not to repeat the previous bullet too much with ur krook point and can just say that it only needs to be chipped slightly or something.

Bisharp also has access to a powerful STAB Sucker Punch that helps make up for its mediocre Speed tier and lets it pick off foes like Victini and Alakazam. After a Swords Dance boost, it can also give bulkier Pokemon like Rotom-H and Volcanion issues revenge killing it. Defiant makes Bisharp a great Defog deterrent for offensive teams and can prevent Intimidate users like Salamence and Krookodile revenge killing Bisharp easily. web mention here pls Bisharp is held back by its subpar defensive stats that prevent it from taking advantage of its defensive typing to check foes like Nihilego well.

Iron Head is a strong STAB move that prevents a majority of Dark-resistant Pokemon such as Terrakion, Conkeldurr, and Tapu Bulu from freely switching into it Bisharp. Knock Off is very spammable early-game as it can help cripple foes like Incineroar and Keldeo; however, it will struggle to break past certain foes like Skarmory once its item has been removed. Sucker Punch provides Bisharp with a powerful priority STAB move that prevents offensive threats like Victini revenge killing it. Defiant lets Bisharp take advantage of Defog attempts; however, it has to be wary, as common Defog users like Salamence and Rotom-W commonly carry super effective coverage or status for it. Defiant also makes it harder for Intimidate users like Salamence and Krookodile mostly just mence, krook will take a +3 sucker w/o too much trouble to revenge kill Bisharp. Life Orb is preferred for its extra power to help guarantee the OHKO on Rotom-W with Sucker Punch after a Swords Dance, while also improving the ability to KO foes like Hatterene and Amoonguss with Iron Head and Knock Off, respectively. this makes it sound like you need a boost to ko hatt which you obv don't so maybe watch the wording here Black Glasses is an alternative option that still boosts the power of its Dark-type moves without the ramifications of being worn down by recoil.

An Occa Berry can be used to stomach a hit from defensive Salamence and retaliating with a boosted Knock Off; however, Bisharp still can't take a hit from many of the tier's Fire-types even with the berry. Low Kick is an option for Pokemon like Cobalion and Incineroar, but these Pokemon aren't very common and Bisharp usually has to give up Swords Dance to fit it. goggles mention!

**Fighting-types**: Bisharp's typing leaves it with a 4x weakness to Fighting-type moves allowing Pokemon like Terrakion, Conkeldurr, and Keldeo to take advantage of it.
