[OVERVIEW]
Alolan Exeggutor has an amazing Special Attack alongside a great STAB move combination and nice coverage in Flamethrower, which makes it an excellent choice for either a wallbreaker or a Trick Room sweeper. Its solid bulk and defensive typing allow it to take advantage of Pokemon like Vaporeon and Palossand and gives it an easier time setting up Trick Room. While other slow wallbreaking Dragon-types such as Guzzlord do give it competition, Alolan Exeggutor's offensive typing and ability to set up its own Trick Room manage to set it apart from them. However, Alolan Exeggutor is held back by its low Speed outside of Trick Room, weakness to common types such as Ice, and reliance on prediction due to its various switch-ins, such as Silvally-Fairy and Talonflame.

[SET COMMENTS]
This set aims to come in as much as possible and deal raw damage with its nukes in Draco Meteor and Leaf Storm. Giga Drain is there to help Alolan Exeggutor stay healthy and allows it to be played more aggressively, while Flamethrower hits incoming Steel-types such as Alolan Sandslash and Silvally-Steel. Although it is slow, maximum Speed investment allows Alolan Exeggutor to outspeed and KO various Pokemon before they can get a move in, such as Guzzlord and Vikavolt. Alolan Exeggutor is best at breaking past physical walls such as Regirock, defensive Mesprit, and Jellicent, but it also breaks various special walls such as Gigalith and Lanturn. Therefore, Pokemon that appreciate these walls being broken or at least weakened, like Sneasel and Scyther looking to set up and sweep late-game, work well alongside Alolan Exeggutor. Scyther, as well as other Pokemon such as Togedemaru and Mesprit, can also get Alolan Exeggutor in with U-turn.

[SET COMMENTS]
Trick Room allows Alolan Exeggutor to take advantage of its low Speed in order to wreak havoc against many offense and even balance teams. Flamethrower is there for the Steel-types that resist Alolan Exeggutor's STAB moves, such as Silvally-Steel and Togedemaru, while also hitting Grass-types such as Virizion and Tsareena without Draco Meteor's Special Attack drop. Alolan Exeggutor can be run on or off dedicated Trick Room teams. If run off of a Trick Room team, Alolan Exeggutor wants to be sent out late-game to clean up the match after Pokemon such as Aromatisse and Silvally-Fairy have been weakened or taken out. In this case, it benefits from slow pivots that can get it on the field safely such as Uxie and Vaporeon. On a Trick Room team, it can be used either as the late-game cleaner or as means to weaken teams and set up Trick Room for its sweeping teammates, like Wishiwashi and Marowak.
