[OVERVIEW]

Zygarde-10%'s good Speed tier, spammable Thousand Arrows, and useful coverage moves make it a formidable wallbreaking presence in the RU metagame. Hardly anything can directly switch into it safely. It can use Extreme Speed to also function as a revenge killer to threats faster than it, like Crobat and Choice Scarf users like Darmanitan and Gardevoir. Although it's a big risk, Zygarde-10% can be an acceptable Volt Switch immunity on some archetypes or serve as backup counterplay against Electric-types like Raikou and Thundurus.

[SET COMMENTS]

Extreme Speed revenge kills faster threats to Zygarde-10% like Crobat, Choice Scarf Darmanitan, Gardevoir, and Xurkitree. Superpower 2HKOes Zarude, Porygon2, and Glastrier. Stone Edge 2HKOes Togekiss and Golisopod as well as OHKOing Crobat and Noivern, which can take Thousand Arrows once, on the switch. Toxic gives Zygarde-10% a way to punish switch-ins like Togekiss, Milotic, and Golisopod. Outrage can be used for late-game sweeping once all opposing Fairy- and Steel-types are gone.

Partners that can lure in Steel-types, such as Togekiss, Sylveon, and Klefki, make great teammates for Zygarde-10%. With prediction, Zygarde-10% can double switch into them and take advantage of the free turn. Klefki also provides Spikes support to wear down switch-ins to Zygarde-10%. Poison-types like Crobat and Galarian Slowbro can also lure in Steel-types. Poison- and Steel-types like Galarian Slowbro, Registeel, Steelix, and Stakataka handle Fairy-types that offensively pressure Zygarde-10%. Bulkier threats like Milotic and Suicune are problematic for Zygarde-10% because they easily switch into any of its moves. A partner like Thundurus or Raikou can come in and handle them. Milotic and Porygon2 slow pivot with Flip Turn and Teleport to bring in Zygarde-10% safely on Electric- and Steel-types, respectively. Roserade deals with bulky Water-types and provides Spikes support. It can also lure in Steel-types for Zygarde-10% to feast on, but that requires aggressive switches.

Dragon Dance could potentially be a viable set with Life Orb as an item, but the immediate power from Choice Band is more valuable. Skitter Smack is a viable option in the fourth moveslot to OHKO Zarude and the uncommon Celebi. However, Superpower hits a bigger group of threats, including Zarude, for super-effective damage.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fairy-types**: Togekiss, Sylveon, Gardevoir, and Mimikyu either offensively pressure Zygarde-10% or easily recover from its attacks, thus preventing it from doing its job. Zygarde-10% can 2HKO Nasty Plot Togekiss with the slightest of chip damage, though.

**Bulky Pokemon**: Milotic, Suicune, and Porygon2 are examples of Pokemon that can switch into Zygarde-10%'s attacks and easily recover, making life tough for it.

**Faster Pokemon**: Naturally faster threats like Crobat and Noivern as well as Choice Scarf users like Xurkitree, Mienshao, Heracross, and Zarude can all OHKO Zygarde-10% with their coverage or STAB moves. All of these Pokemon need to be wary of Extreme Speed, however.

**Pokemon that Resist Thousand Arrows**: Golisopod, Zarude, and Tangela are just a few Pokemon that can eat up Thousand Arrows and retaliate or recover HP, discouraging Zygarde-10% from spamming its best move.

[OVERVIEW]

- Probably worth noting the uniqueness of Thousand Arrows is what complicates handling Zydog.

[Choice Band]

- Add Zarude as a Super Power target.
- Remove Skitter Smack. It can be moved to OO alongside the DD set and as an alternate option to clap the uncommon Celebi for CB
- Stuff like Porygon2 and Milotic can make getting Zydog in way easier with their slow switch moves. They can also absorb plenty of hits if Zydog gets forced out during the match.
- Roserade probably worth mentioning as Milotic in particular is not a reliable switch with Spikes up and Rose happens to also beat up on the bulky Waters while having a tendency to draw out passive Steel types

[Other Options]

- Skitter Smack here
- Stone Edge to bop Togekiss

[Checks and Counters]

- Note that all the faster Pokemon must be careful of getting too low and dropping into Extreme Speed range late-game. Add Mienshao here as Regenerator makes it much harder to wear down into ESpeed range late
- Worth noting Togekiss without PhysDef investment (only max HP) can be 2HKOed with even the slightest chip damage prior
- Probably worth adding P2 to bulky Pokemon as it's just bulky enough to handle 2 Thousand Arrows and KO back with Ice Beam,

Tag me when done and I'll make sure there's nothing I missed before approving Oathkeepre

Mention the drawback of Outrage locking Zygarde-10% in within a tier that isn't short on Steels and Fairies.
Add Golisopod as a Stone Edge target. I forgot about it on my first check.

[QC 1/2] once these changes are made. Good work, and thanks for being patient and understanding as we discussed the moveset change

[OVERVIEW]

Zygarde-10%'s Speed tier coupled with its decent attacking power and coverage moves makes it a formidable wallbreaking presence in the RU metagame. Due to these traits, hardly anything switches into it safely unless it's via slow U-turn or Parting Shot. Thousand Arrows, unlike other physical Ground moves, has a Smack Down effect and is able to hit Flying-types or Levitate users like Thundurus and Galarian Weezing. you don't need to explain what tarrows does - you need to explain why it matters It can also function as a revenge killer to threats faster than it like Crobat and Choice Scarf users like Darmanitan and Gardevoir due to Extreme Speed being in its arsenal. Although Zygarde-10% can be a Volt Switch immunity, it's generally not advised due to its frailty. i often find myself slapping zydog on offensive teams as a sort of glue. you block volt and offensively check a lot of stuff so you should highlight its defensive perks as well which is something offense likes a ton. Because of its frailty and susceptibility to all entry hazards, it is easily worn down over time. i wouldn't say its susceptible to hazards. you resist rocks and usually don't stay too long on the field for tspikes to do much. you shouldn't be switching it into a lot so its not like it matters much i think

[SET COMMENTS]

Extreme Speed gives Zygarde-10% a priority move to hit revenge kill faster threats to it like Crobat, Choice Scarf Darmanitan, Gardevoir, and Xurkitree. It also allows Zygarde-10% to revenge kill. Superpower lets Zygarde-10% 2HKO bulky threats like Zardue, Porygon2, and Glastrier. you don't run superpower to 2hko bulky threats, you run it specifically for those targets Stone Edge allows Zygarde-10% to 2HKO Togekiss and Golisopod as well as OHKO Crobat and Noivern on the switch-in. Toxic gives Zygarde-10% a way to punish switch-ins to it like Togekiss, Zarude, and Mimikyu and put them on a timer. zarude can just jungle heal this off and mimikyu is never going to switch into a zygarde nor does it care too much about toxic. mention milotic and find another example. Outrage can be used for late-game sweeping, but it's very risky due to common Steel- and Fairy-types. well, if you're going to use outrage for cleaning then steels and faires would be dead already. just mention its not a move you can click early and mid game until those are removed or risk getting it KOd (which is fine sometimes if the outrage dmg outweighs zydog dying)

Partners that can lure in Steel-types make great teammates for Zygarde-10%. Therefore, Fairy-types like Togekiss, Sylveon, and Klefki can all fulfill this role. The former two can provide Heal Bell support should Zygarde-10% become statused while the Klefki can provide Spikes support to wear down switch-ins to Zygarde-10%. zydog doesn't really need heal bell you're not usually putting in in positions where it can get burnt In the same sense, Poison-types like Crobat and Galarian Slowbro can also lure in Steel-types and make good teammates for Zygarde-10%. Conversely, Poison- and Steel-types are good teammates for Zygarde-10% to switch in on and take down Fairy-types which would otherwise block Outrage variants from sweeping with it. the common fairies just kinda wall zydog in general not just outrage Galarian Slowbro, Registeel, Steelix, and Stakataka all can do this. All three Steel-types can provide Stealth Rock support for Zygarde-10% to give it an easier time. Bulkier threats like Milotic and Suicune are problematic for Zygarde-10% since they easily switch into any of its moves. A partner like Thundurus or Raikou can come in and handle these threats. Milotic and Porygon2 also work as partners for Zygarde-10% due to their ability to pivot slowly with Flip Turn and Teleport to bring in Zygarde-10% safely. mention milo brings in elecs and p2 brings in steels for zydog to exploit Roserade is also an excellent teammate to deal with bulky waters as well as provide Spikes support to wear down such threats. Roserade can also lure in Steel-types that Zygarde-10% loves to feast on.

this is mostly fine but this isn't really how luring works..? the points you're making on fairies bringing out steels would be fine if they were pivots, but otherwise it would require the zydog player to be really aggressive in double switches because it cant really switch into, say, metagross (which is fine, id rather you just mention that instead if you're gonna mention it at all)

Dragon Dance could potentially be a viable set with Life Orb as an item. However, Dragon Dance does require a turn to set up. you get plenty of setup opportunities by bluffing choice band Not to mention that Zygarde-10%'s frailty, combined with the Life Orb recoil, can end up hurting it more than helping it. why? this set is mostly used for cleaning i would assume, and you've got extreme speed for opposing priority. The immediate power from Choice Band is more valuable. Skitter Smack is a viable option in the fourth slot instead of Superpower or Toxic to OHKO Zarude and the uncommon Celebi. However, Superpower is better overall as a coverage move in the fact that it hits a bigger group of threats including Zarude for super-effective damage.

Checks and Counters

**Fairy-types**: Threats like Togekiss, Sylveon, Gardevoir, and Mimikyu all either offensively pressure Zygarde-10% or recover lost HP with ease and thus, prevent it from doing its job. Zygarde-10% can 2HKO 0 Defense EVs Togekiss with the slightest of chip though. nasty plot togekiss is 2hkod by arrows, 120+ def defog kiss avoids it. think you've mixed them up

**Bulky Pokemon**: Milotic, Suicune, and Porygon2 are just examples of threats that can switch into Zygarde-10%, eat up a hit, and then recover any lost HP with Recover or Rest and make life tough for it.

**Faster Pokemon**: Naturally faster threats like Crobat and Noivern as well as Choice Scarf users like Xurkitree, Mienshao, Heracross, and Zarude can all OHKO Zygarde-10% with their coverage moves or STAB moves without breaking a sweat. All of these Pokemon need to be wary of being in range of Extreme Speed, however.

bullet on ground resists and include stuff like goli zarude tangela etc. most of these can get hit by zydog but the important thing is that they can block it from using its best move and the one it wants to be spamming all the time
