For a Trick Room Ursaring, I have 252 EVs in Attack. Should I also put 252 EVs in HP, or split the defenses? He has even defenses, so I don't know which one to pump up.

Also, should Donphan have an Impish or a +Def -Spd nature?

I assume you run Guts on thsi Ursaring? If so then 252 should go into HP as the Flame/Toxic orb you'll be running will whittle it down

@hbdragon, I can't help you with the Ursaring part. As for Donphan, either Impish or Relaxed (+Def, -Spd) can be used. Relaxed could help in Trick Room situations, while with Impish you could tie with opposing Donphan and any other Pokemon around that range.

@Mr. Darkrai, it does not affect the legitimacy of a Pokemon.

That really shouldn't matter since Toxic/Burn takes the same percentage of health away regardless of the raw HP stat. Run a defensive spread that maximizes the product of HP and whatever defense you care about (HP x defensive stat).

I have a male rattata with egg moves I need for Nidoking do I use the female Nidoran and hope its offspring is a male Nidoran?

Breeding NidoranM with Ditto makes you get 100% chance to be NidoranM. So if you get only one NidoranM through NidoranF and then breed with Ditto it's safer.

So I've noticed when checking out piplup's level 100 quiet stats that the range of it's speed is from 76-104 (76 being 0 and 104 being 31) while being monotonous I typed each stat into it by hand 76,77,78,79 e.t.c

I found that there is no stat for 6,16 or 26...

So Any1 help me suggest how I can find the actual speed stat of my Piplups so i can find it's true hidden power?

Bread a shiny Modest Eevee and this is what I get.

Hp= 3-8

Attack=28 -31

Defense= 0 -6

Speed=15 -21

Sp. Atk=23-28

Sp. Def=0-1

Anything I can use it for?

2 Questions

1st) In doubles, can you have a pokemon use transform on your own teammate in order to, well, transform into your teammate?

2nd) If a mew transforms into a shedinja, does it obtain wonderguard and retain Mew's original HP?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For the EEVEE: It's really too slow to attempt Jolteon or Espeon, though you could try either of those. The defense are all way too low for Umbreon, Vaporeon or Leafeon, and Flareon and glaceon will definately not like the fratility either.

Your best bet is jolteon, though with that speed and fratility i'm not sure how effectively it'll manage.

Yes to both. However, with Shedinja's low defenses, Mew will probably still be OHKO'd by most attacks that get through to it.

But mew retains all its stats...so wouldn't this be an effective strategy? You're essentially getting a ghost/bug with an outstanding ability and100's all across the board in the stats department.

No, when you Transform you get the stats of whatever you turned into. Want proof? Transform into something and attack it a few times. It'll be radom who goes first, because you both have the same Speed. All Shed-Mew's going to survive will probably be Night Shade.

I'm pretty confident in my Transform knowledge because I sometimes use Ditto against some casual playing friends, and I sometimes run a OHKO Smeargle in the Battle Tower, and its fourth move is Transform.

As for the other question, I see no reason why you wouldn't keep the sub.

Sorry I shouldn't be doubting your experience, anyways, thanks for the clarification.

I still don't think this is right, otherwise why wouldn't ditto be used a lot more often? I'm pretty positive the move allows you to keep all your stats while receiving the typing, ability and moveset of the opposing pokemon.
No, I'm right, Ditto's not used because it's pretty slow and usually gets beaten up before it can move, leaving it as a crippled version of its opponent, and Ditto's low HP doesn't help it much.

Yikes, I just thought of something scary: a Mew Transforming into a Shuckle. Shuckle's insane defenses plus Mew's nice HP = insane wall that Struggles after 20 turns.

Does anyone know a way to check for a pokemons stats at a certain level as specifically as possible? For example a lv 50 bold Lugia with a 31 HP Iv would have a HP stat of...?

I'm currently SR'ing and need help with this.

this can be checked to a degree using psypokes, it has a chart down the bottom that shows the lvl 50 and 100 stats of it with nature and other stuff

Edit: Also how are hack tests done?

Super n00b question.
I missed out on R/S/E and was thinking about getting Emerald for breeding.
How do you check IVs?
is it easier than D/P?
Is it worth it?
It's worth it. There is an IV checker in Emerald who tells you if you have a perfect IV in the highest stat IV. I would say that it's slightly easier than DP to breed, but, of course, it has the drawback that you can't breed Sinnoh Pokemon there.
