UU Toxtricity [QC 3/3] [GP 2/2]

toxtricity.gif

[OVERVIEW]

Toxtricity carries a unique niche in UU as a fearsome Electric-type wallbreaker that isn't shut down by the tier's Grass- and Ground-types. Thanks to Punk Rock and Boomburst, Toxtricity is able to deal heavy damage to walls like Amoonguss, Tangrowth, and Rhyperior and maintain pressure on Pokemon that resist its STAB combination, such as Nidoqueen and Seismitoad. In addition, Toxtricity has a relatively decent defensive typing, allowing it to come in on Iron Head from Jirachi and Bullet Punch from Scizor and threaten to 2HKO them. It can also pivot into various passive Pokemon such as Sylveon and Amoonguss. Despite Toxtricity's middling Speed, Shift Gear can allow it to outpace foes like Keldeo, Salamence, and even Choice Scarf Krookodile, making it a great late-game cleaner on offensive teams. However, Toxtricity's STAB attacks and Boomburst have immunities, making it a prediction-reliant wallbreaker that struggles to break through cores like Aegislash + Nidoqueen. Although Toxtricity's base 75 Speed is enough to outspeed the bulkier threats it is able to deal with, its bulk leaves it prey to revenge killers such as Keldeo, Lycanroc-D, and Krookodile. Additionally, priority users such as Crawdaunt, Scizor, and Mamoswine can all halt a sweep by KOing a chipped Toxtricity. Toxtricity faces stiff competition as an Electric-type with Thundurus and Thundurus-T, which offer better coverage and Speed.

move 3: Boomburst
move 4: Volt Switch
item: Choice Specs
ability: Punk Rock
nature: Modest / Timid
evs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Boomburst is the most powerful move on this set, heavily damaging Ground-types such as Quagsire, Seismitoad, and Krookodile for heavy damage and wearing down switch-ins without recovery like Rhyperior. Despite not receiving the Punk Rock boost, Sludge Wave can still power through Fairy- and Grass-types such as Tapu Bulu, Primarina, and Tangrowth. Sludge Bomb is a viable alternative over Sludge Wave to poison and wear down switch-ins like Rhyperior and Seismitoad. Volt Switch is Toxtricity’s way of generating generates momentum in the face of against non-immune threats that Toxtricity cannot break through, like Chansey. A Timid nature allows Toxtricity to outpace Adamant Gyarados and Mamoswine as well as Modest Nidoqueen, but forgoing a Modest nature makes it miss out on valuable OHKOs against special walls.(what special walls are you referring to? This was never explicitly stated and should probably be mentioned)

Toxtricity fits on bulky offense teams as a potent wallbreaker and is most useful in the early- to mid-game, where it can force out bulky threats such as Seismitoad, Celesteela, and Tangrowth and punch huge holes in the opposing team. Toxtricity appreciates entry hazard support from setters such as Mew and Krookodile to punish and accumulate chip damage on vulnerable checks such as Rhyperior,(AC) which allows Toxtricity to pick up KOs more reliably. Toxtricity can compliment these entry hazard setters by threatening to 2HKO entry hazard removers like Tentacruel and Salamence. Additionally, Toxtricity appreciates Pokemon that can threaten to KO and force out specially defensive walls. Keldeo is a prime example of a wallbreaker that excels at dealing with Ground-types and forcing out Chansey thanks to Secret Sword. Furthermore, Flip Turn Keldeo can form a VoltTurn core with Toxtricity and lure in threats such as Amoonguss and Tangrowth for Toxtricity to wreak havoc. Pokemon that resist Ground-type attacks, such as Tapu Bulu and Zarude, make great partners, as both benefit from Toxtricity eliminating Tangrowth, Celesteela, and Amoonguss. Zarude’s U-turn, combined with Toxtricity's ability to break its checks, yields another VoltTurn core that Toxtricity benefits from.

[SET]
name: Shift Gear
move 1: Shift Gear
move 2: Overdrive
move 3: Boomburst
move 4: Drain Punch
item: Life Orb
ability: Punk Rock
nature: Rash / Naive
evs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Shift Gear grants Toxtricity the ability to contend with would-be threats that are faster than it, such as Keldeo and Choice Scarf Krookodile, after a boost. Boomburst 2HKOes Ground-types like Gastrodon and Nidoqueen and OHKOes Krookodile. Drain Punch allows Toxtricity to defeat its greatest counter in Chansey by healing enough to offset Seismic Toss damage. Drain Punch is also useful to pick off weakened foes and keep Toxtricity healthy. Life Orb gives Toxtricity the immediate damage it needs to secure 2HKOs on specially defensive Amoonguss and Assault Vest Tangrowth after entry hazard damage. A Rash nature is preferred to secure 2HKOs on the aforementioned Grass-types, but a Naive nature can be used to outspeed fast Choice Scarf users such as Jirachi and Keldeo.

Shift Gear turns Toxtricity into a terrifying late-game sweeper that fits best on hyper offense archetypes. Toxtricity appreciates help from wallbreakers such as Keldeo and Choice Band Scizor taking care of threats such as Rhyperior, Chansey and Reuniclus to help it sweep late-game. Additionally, entry hazard setters such as Mew and Krookodile help to accumulate chip damage on its checks, allowing Toxtricity to secure KOs on Quagsire, Nidoqueen, and Necrozma. Calm Mind Primarina is useful to beat Ground-type checks such as Rhyperior. Dragon Dance Salamence appreciates Toxtricity's ability to break through Celesteela and Tangrowth and can sweep late-game once its checks are dealt with. Priority moves like Azumarill's Aqua Jet can heavily damage Toxtricity or halt a sweep, making Jirachi and Rotom-W useful to have alongside Toxtricity. Jirachi and Scizor resist Psychic and have U-turn to get Toxtricity safely into battle on a forced switch and preserve its HP, which is valuable on the Life Orb set. Tapu Bulu can switch into Ground-type attacks and support teammates that are weak to them. Grimmsnarl and Alolan Ninetales are great choices alongside Toxtricity, as they can help Toxtricity set up more easily with dual screens support. With dual screens, it is able to stomach Draco Meteor from Salamence, Hydro Pump from Choice Specs Keldeo, and Earthquake from defensive variants of Kommo-o and Tangrowth and set up with Shift Gear in front of them.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Choice Scarf turns Toxtricity into a revenge killer that is able to outpace threats such as Keldeo, Thundurus, and Azelf while still having a Special Attack-boosting nature. Throat Spray is an option on Shift Gear sets, as long as Sludge Bomb or Sludge Wave is used over Drain Punch.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Chansey**: Although it must be wary of Shift Gear sets with Drain Punch, Chansey can stand in the way of Toxtricity’s strongest offensive moves with ease. It can heal itself with Soft-Boiled as Toxtricty switches out, keep momentum with Teleport, and spread status with Toxic or Thunder Wave.

**Psychic-types**: Assault Vest Reuniclus can directly counter Toxtricity, as it can comfortably switch into Boomburst and force Toxtricity to switch out. Furthermore, its ability Regenerator allows it to heal off most of Boomburst’s damage and lets it consistently switch into Toxtricity. Mew can take Overdrive at full health and force Toxtricity off the field to set up entry hazards. However, it cannot switch into Boomburst.

**Ground-types**: Rhyperior, Nidoqueen, and Krookodile are immune to Overdrive and threaten to KO Toxtricity with their STAB attacks. The former, though resistant to Boomburst, is easily worn down by it due to its lack of recovery, and the latter two risk an OHKO from it.

**Faster Pokemon**: Although they must be careful around Shift Gear sets, Toxtricity's low Speed and poor natural bulk leave it prey to Pokemon that outspeed it naturally, such as Keldeo, Salamence, and Lycanroc-D. The latter can even use Accelerock to stop a weakened Toxtricity from sweeping with Shift Gear.

[OVERVIEW]
  • Toxtricity is an offensive powerhouse that is capable of making huge dents in common defensive cores.

  • Toxtricity’s typing yields immunities to poison and paralysis as well as resistances to U-turn, Volt Switch, Mach Punch and Bullet Punch. This is fine but I would rather you focused on Pokemon it can soft check rather than the moves it resists. For example, you can check Jirachi and Scizor fairly well.

  • Toxtricity's unique ability Punk Rock combined with access to Boomburst allows it to maintain pressure on Pokemon that are immune or resistant to Electric, may as well just say resist its STAB combo because all three resist poison too such as Rhyperior, Quagsire, and Gastrodon.

  • Despite Toxtricity's middling Speed, its access to Shift Gear allows it to outpace the likes of Keldeo, Alakazam, and even Choice Scarf Krookodile.

  • However, Toxtricity’s STAB attacks as well as Boomburst all have a type that is immune to those attacks, making Toxtricity’s role as a breaker rather inconsistent, especially against teams with multiple of said immunities.

  • Though Toxtricity's base 75 Speed is enough to outspeed the bulkier threats it deals with, its 75/70/70 bulk leave it prey to revenge killers nearly every time it does its job. You can reword this a bit better by giving examples of faster foes that can revenge kill Toxtricity.

  • Toxtricity, while possessing a niche that makes it viable for use, is outclassed by Zeraora in speed, versatility, and unpredictability. I would not say it is outclassed by Zeraora, just that it faces a lot of competition as an Electric-type. Toxtricity has a firm advantage with its better breaking power and being an Electric breaker that isn't walled by the tier's Grass-types. It would be worth making note of this here.
Add a point about its 4x weakness to Ground-type moves + both STABs being resisted by Ground-types makes them problematic for it. You can go into detail about how this makes it fairly predictable as Boomburst is the easiest move for it to spam as a result.

[SET COMMENTS]

Paragraph 1
  • Overdrive, Sludge Wave and Boomburst are Toxtricity’s main attacks, the latter of all being able to smack Ground-types such as Quagsire, Gastrodon and Krookodile for heavy damage. Remove Sludge Wave from this point and give its own point about what it hits. Then move your point about Sludge Bomb straight after.

  • Volt Switch is Toxtricity’s way of generating momentum in the face of non-immune threats it is not capable of breaking through, such as Chansey.

  • 252 EVs in Special Attack with a Modest Nature maximizes Toxtricity’s damage output.

  • This in conjunction with Choice Specs allow Toxtricity’s STAB attacks to land OHKOs on certain Specially Bulky variants of Slowking, Celesteela, and Tangrowth after entry hazard damage, while still being able to combat Suicune after one Calm Mind. Just combine this with your reasoning for using a Modest nature

  • An alternative move over Sludge Wave is Sludge Bomb. Though having less immediate power, its 30% chance to poison rather than the 10% that Sludge Wave has is better for accumulating residual damage without missing any notable 2HKOs. List examples of foes it helps to poison e.g. Rhyperior

  • Another alternative would be to change the nature from Modest to Timid for a bit of extra speed, however, there exists a noticeable difference in damage output which can make Toxtricity miss out on valuable OHKOs after hazard damage. You need to say what it lets it outspeed. For example Modest Nidoqueen and Adamant Mamoswine

Paragraph 2
  • The Choice Specs set will be most useful in the early- to mid-game, where its goal is to force common checks off the field and punch huge holes in the opposition using its Overdrive, Boomburst, and Sludge Wave.

  • Toxtricity appreciates entry hazard support from setters such as Mew, Krookodile, and Skarmory to punish the opponent's answers for switching into it, accumulating damage over time that will allow Toxtricity to pick up KOs more reliably.

  • Toxtricity can compliment these setters by taking advantage of removal options such as Rapid Spin Tentacruel, Defog Skarmory, and Rotom forms lacking Speed investment by threatening a 2HKO with its powerful attacks. All the rotoms are running Speed rn so you can remove that part

  • Toxtricity does better alongside breakers that can deal with threats such as Chansey and Jirachi. Use the word specially defensive walls or something over threats. Also, Jirachi isn't the best of examples because you just use it as an opportunity to wallbreak. More or less none of them are running Psychic coverage so you only run the risk of getting flinched, in which case they need 5. Volt Switch can be used to pivot against these checks and allow for Terrakion or Victini to come into play to take care of them.

  • Pokemon that resist Ground-type attacks, such as Tapu Bulu and Zarude, make great partners as both struggle to break the likes of Tangrowth, Skarmory, and Amoonguss, which Toxtricity can take care of with ease. Mention how Zarude forms a Voltturn core with Toxtricity and can bring it in against Grass-types like Tangrowth and Tapu Bulu to wallbreak.
I'd give Keldeo its own point because it can also remove Ground-types, and as a special attacker Chansey thanks to Secret Sword. It can also bring Toxtricity in against Slowking and Grass-types with Flip Turn to wallbreak.
  • The aforementioned Victini and Jirachi as well as Scizor are great options for a VoltTurn core with Toxtricity, which is especially useful on more offensive teams for sustaining momentum. Given I'm making you tie this into Zarude and Keldeo you can remove this.
When giving examples of Ground-types that check Toxtricity make sure to add a mention of Palossand at least once because it's also immune to Boomburst.

I applaud you for coming up with a cool EV spread but you don't need to EV it for Chansey. After a Shift Gear, you heal back more than Seismic Toss can do anyways because of Chansey's huge HP stat so regardless you're beating it 1on1 and staying healthy enough in the process.

[SET COMMENTS]

Paragraph 1
  • Shift Gear grants Toxtricity the ability to contend with would-be threats that are faster than it, such as Keldeo and Choice Scarf Krookodile with ease while still being able to land solid 2HKOs on bulkier threats such as Tangrowth, Slowking, and Celesteela.

  • Overdrive and Boomburst are Toxtricity’s two primary attacking moves on this set, taking advantage of the Punk Rock boost while sporting amazing coverage. Boomburst allows Toxtricity to smack Ground-types like Gastrodon, Quagsire, Krookodile for 2HKOs. You OHKO Krookodile

  • The use of 112 Attack EVs allows Drain Punch to 2HKO Chansey, Toxtricity's main counter, after Stealth Rock and a Shift Gear boost. Just make this a point about Drain Punch letting it break Chansey and potentially helping it stay healthy against a weakened foe brought into range of it

  • 216 EVs in Speed ensures that Toxtricity outspeeds Adamant Bisharp without a boost from Shift Gear, while also allowing it to outspeed Choice Scarf Krookodile after a boost Just change it to be why you run max Speed

  • A Life Orb is recommended on this set to give Toxtricity the immediate damage it needs to secure certain 2HKOs, can you give examples of these with or without hazards.

  • An alternative nature is Naive, giving Toxtricity the speed it needs to outspeed the faster Choice Scarf users in the tier such as Jirachi and Keldeo, but there exists a power difference that may not allow Toxtricity to pick up certain necessary KOs even after hazard damage. If you don't have examples then don't add this kind of info

  • An alternative item that can be used on this set is Throat Spray. This item, however, can be used only once, meaning the user must be careful when using Boomburst or Overdrive for the first time. I'd just remove this, the extra dmg output on its special attacks is minuscule and it hinders its ability to spam those moves early + doesn't increase the power of Drain Punch
So usually the structure should go as follows: moves, item options, evs. Could you just shuffle your points around to match that

Paragraph 2
  • Toxtricity appreciates help from breakers such as Terrakion, Victini and Keldeo to clear the way for it to sweep in the late game by taking care of threats such as Chansey, Jirachi, and Krookodile. Not fond of these examples because you beat Chansey, which is the whole point of Drain Punch. Jirachi can't stop you because again none are really running Psychic coverage. Krookodile is slower after a Shift Gear and gets OHKO'd by Bommburst. Use examples like Rhyperior and Palossand instead

  • Entry hazard setters such as Mew and Skarmory help Toxtricity accumulate damage on checks every switch-in, allowing Toxtricity to secure its KOs more reliably. Find some examples. For one, Quagsire is brought into Boomburst range after hazards damage.

  • Other setup sweepers, such as Calm Mind Primarina and Jirachi, Dragon Dance Salamence, and Swords Dance Lycanroc-D can accompany Toxtricity in beating down the opposing team before they are able to defend. This is a bit vague. Ideally, you focus on what they can break for eachother. E.g. Prima breaks Ground-types.

  • Priority moves, including Bisharp's Sucker Punch and Scizor's Bullet Punch, can heavily damage Toxtricity or halt a sweep, making Tapu Bulu and Krookodile for the former as well as Jirachi and Victini for the latter useful to have alongside Toxtricity. There are better examples of Bisharp checks than krook and bulu such as Kommo-o and Keldeo

  • Tapu Bulu in particular appreciates Toxtricity’s ability to break its threats like Skarmory and Tangrowth, and can switch in on Ground-type attacks while supporting teammates including Toxtricity that are weak to them.

  • The aforementioned Victini and Jirachi as well as Scizor can act as the user's main rebuttal for Psychic-type attacks. Furthermore, their usage of U-turn on anticipated switch-ins, especially on the latter two, can help lead Toxtricity into a battle safely and preserve its HP, which is valuable on a Life Orb set. Bring this point straight after where you mention them
Add a line on Grimmsnarl as it can provide screens support to help Toxtricity set up easier with dual screens

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
  • Snarl is another option in Toxtricity’s movepool, and is plausible on any set. Like Toxtricity’s Overdrive and Boomburst, it is also boosted by Punk Rock, and conveniently, Snarl has no immunities, excluding Pokemon with the Soundproof ability such as Kommo-o. Furthermore, its 100% chance to drop Special Attack can be handy to make an offensive switch-in take less damage from a Specially Offensive opponent. However, though Snarl is a great option to deal with the Ghost-types that are immune to Overdrive, like Palossand and Alolan Marowak, Marowak does not run Lightning Rod in UU, Golurk would be a better example There is no Psychic-type in the tier that is immune to Overdrive, and thus Snarl is outclassed by Overdrive as a move to deal general damage. Snarl can also activate Justified on the likes of Terrakion and Keldeo as well as Defiant on Bisharp, making it a shaky move against more common offensive threats. You don't need all this info. Just say Snarl is an option on the Choice Specs set over Poison STAB to break these two Pokemon

  • Since Toxtricity’s Poison typing yields a 100% accurate Toxic, A SubToxic status spreading set with Overdrive and either Snarl or Boomburst as attacking moves can be plausible. If a Steel-type comes into play, It can fire off an Overdrive, while more offensively threatening attackers get afflicted with Toxic and Substitute spam, and stat-lowering annoyances. However, Toxtricity’s frailty makes this set shaky, especially with large chunks of its health are taken off of it to set up Substitutes. Furthermore, a breaker such as Toxtricity needs an item that would increase its damage output, but since the item of choice on a set like this would be Leftovers, it would forego Toxtricity's main use.
I wouldn't run Subtoxic when it has so few counters to begin with. You can keep Toxic as a mention for those Ground-types but leave it as that.

Add a mention of a Choice Scarf set and what it can revenge kill.

Add a mention of Throat Spray on Shift Gear as long as Poison STAB is used over Drain Punch.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Chansey**: Though it must be wary of Shift Gear sets with Drain Punch, Chansey can stand in the way of Toxtricity’s strongest offensive moves with ease. It can use Toxtricity’s switchout turn to heal itself with Soft-Boiled, begin momentum with Teleport, and spread status with Toxic or Thunder Wave.

**Psychic-Types**: Bronzong and Mew can take an Overdrive at full health and can take the switch-out opportunity to set up entry hazards or set up for a sweep. Both are options for the latter. Bronzong is not UU viable. Alakazam is a better fit of an offensive threat that OHKOs it. I would make a note that none of them safely switch into Toxtricity though.

**Ground-Types**: Rhyperior, Nidoqueen and Krookodile are immune to Overdrive and threaten to KO it with their STAB attacks. Mention the latter two get OHKO'd by Boomburst. Palossand needs a mention here because it completely walls you.

**Ground-type Coverage**: A handful of Pokemon that Toxtricity is known for dealing with, like Specially Defensive variants of Celesteela and Tangrowth, can stomach an attack at full health and OHKO it with 4x-effective Ground-type coverage.

**Faster Pokemon**: Though they must be careful around Shift Gear sets, Toxtricity’s low base speed and natural bulk leave it prey to Pokemon that outspeed it naturally, such as Keldeo, Lycanroc-D and Draco Meteor Salamence.

**Type Immunities**: Pokemon that are immune to Toxtricity's STAB attacks as well as Boomburst, like Rhyperior, Jirachi, and Alolan Marowak respectively, make Toxtricity's role as a breaker more shaky than reliable. Their existence on teams threatens forfeiting all momentum, which is crucial to sustain on an offensive team.

[li]Toxtricity appreciates entry hazard support from setters such as Mew, Krookodile, and Skarmory to punish the opponent's answers for switching into it (give examples of some checks that are vulnerable like rhyp), accumulating damage over time that will allow Toxtricity to pick up KOs more reliably.

[/li]
[li]Toxtricity can compliment these setters by taking advantage of removal options such as Rapid Spin Tentacruel and Defog Skarmory by threatening a 2HKO at most with its powerful attacks.

[/li]
[li]Toxtricity does better alongside breakers that can deal with specially-defensive walls like Chansey. Volt Switch can be used to pivot against these checks and allow for Terrakion or Victini to come into play to take care of them. (victini often runs special so maybe change the examples or specify)

[/li]
[li]Pokemon that resist Ground-type attacks, such as Tapu Bulu and Zarude, make great partners as both struggle to break the likes of Tangrowth, Skarmory, and Amoonguss, which Toxtricity can take care of with ease. Zarude’s access to U-turn can form a VoltTurn core with Toxtricity, which is important for sustaining momentum.

[/li]
[li]Keldeo is a prime example of a breaker that excels at dealing with Ground-types, and despite being a special breaker it can force out Chansey thanks to Secret Sword. Furthermore, Keldeo’s access to Flip Turn as well as its tendency to lure in threats such as Slowking and Tangrowth make another VoltTurn core which Toxtricity benefits from.[/li]

Paragraph 1
[ul]
[li]Shift Gear grants Toxtricity the ability to contend with would-be threats that are faster than it, such as Keldeo and Choice Scarf Krookodile after a boost while still being able to land solid 2HKOs on bulkier threats such as Tangrowth, Slowking, and Celesteela.

[/li]
[li]Overdrive and Boomburst are Toxtricity’s two primary attacking moves on this set, taking advantage of the Punk Rock boost while sporting amazing coverage. Boomburst allows Toxtricity to smack Ground-types like Gastrodon and Quagsire for 2HKOs, as well as Krookodile for an OHKO.

[/li]
[li]Drain Punch allows Toxtricity to defeat its greatest counter, Chansey, in a vacuum. Thanks to Chansey’s huge HP stat, Toxtricity’s Drain Punch can heal more than Chansey can deal to it with Seismic Toss. The health regained from this move can also help Toxtricity stay healthy against a weakened foe whittled down into range of the attack.

[/li]
[li]A Life Orb is recommended on this set to give Toxtricity the immediate damage it needs to secure 2HKOs on specially defensive Amoonguss and Assault Vest Tangrowth after hazard damage.

[/li]
[li]An EV spread that maximizes Toxtricity’s Special Attack and Speed will allow it to hit as hard as possible while being as fast as possible.

[/li]
[li]An alternative nature is Naive, giving Toxtricity the speed it needs to outspeed the faster Choice Scarf users in the tier such as Jirachi and Keldeo. However, Rash is preferred because the damage difference between the two natures make Toxtricity miss out on 2HKOs on the aforementioned Amoonguss and Assault Vest Tangrowth after hazard damage.[/li]
[/ul]

Paragraph 2
[ul]
[li]mention the teams it fits on here too[/li]
[li]Toxtricity appreciates help from breakers such as Terrakion and Keldeo to clear the way for it to sweep in the late-game by taking care of threats such as Rhyperior and Palossand, the latter of which Toxtricity is unable to hit with this set.

[/li]
[li]Entry hazard setters such as Mew and Skarmory help Toxtricity accumulate damage on checks every switch-in, allowing Toxtricity to secure KOs on Quagsire, Nidoqueen, and Necrozma after one layer of Spikes.

[/li]
[li]Sweepers that can break Toxtricity’s counters make great partners for it. Calm Mind Primarina is useful in that it can break Ground-type checks like Palossand. Dragon Dance Salamence can help sweep in the late game after its checks like Skarmory, Celesteela and Tangrowth are dealt with.

[/li]
[li]Priority moves, including Bisharp's Sucker Punch and Scizor's Bullet Punch, can heavily damage Toxtricity or halt a sweep, making Kommo-o and Keldeo for the former as well as Jirachi and Victini for the latter useful to have alongside Toxtricity.

[/li]
[li]The aforementioned Victini and Jirachi as well as Scizor can act as the user's main rebuttal for Psychic-type attacks. Furthermore, their usage of U-turn on anticipated switch-ins, especially on the latter two (victini's main sets on the set run it too), can help lead Toxtricity into a battle safely and preserve its HP, which is valuable on a Life Orb set.

[/li]
[li]Tapu Bulu appreciates Toxtricity’s ability to break its threats like Skarmory and Tangrowth, and can switch in on Ground-type attacks while supporting teammates including Toxtricity that are weak to them.

[/li]
[li]Grimmsnarl is a great choice alongside Toxtricity, as its access to Light Screen and Reflect can help Toxtricity set up its Shift Gears easier by being able to stomach hits it normally wouldn’t. With them, it is able to stomach one Draco Meteor from Salamence, one Hydro Pump from Choice Specs Keldeo, and Earthquakes from defensive variants of Kommo-o, Tangrowth, and Celesteela and set up a Shift Gear in front of them.[/li]
[/ul]

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
[ul]
[li]Snarl is another option in Toxtricity’s movepool, and is plausible on the Choice Specs set over Sludge Wave or Sludge Bomb. Like Toxtricity’s Overdrive and Boomburst, it is also boosted by Punk Rock and is a great option to deal with the Ghost-types that are immune to Overdrive, like Palossand and Golurk.

[/li]
[li]A set running a Choice Scarf can also work as it turns Toxtricity into a revenge-killer that is able to outpace threats such as Keldeo, Thundurus and Alakazam while still having a Special Attack-boosting nature.

[/li]
[li]Another item that Toxtricity can use on a Shift Gear set is Throat Spray, as long as Sludge Bomb or Sludge Wave is used over Drain Punch. When used, this item gives a boost to Toxtricity’s Special Attack comparable to that of a Choice Specs.[/li]
[/ul]

Checks and Counters
===================

**Chansey**: Though it must be wary of Shift Gear sets with Drain Punch, Chansey can stand in the way of Toxtricity’s strongest offensive moves with ease. It can use Toxtricity’s switch-out turn to heal itself with Soft-Boiled, begin momentum with Teleport, and spread status with Toxic or Thunder Wave.

**Psychic-Types**: Alakazam is a potent offensive threat in the tier that can threaten to OHKO Toxtricity with Psychic, and Mew can take an Overdrive at full health. Both can take Toxtricity’s forced switch-out to set up for a sweep, however these two cannot switch directly into Toxtricity due to taking massive damage on switch-in. (maybe mention how sash zam can take a hit from speed boosted tox and ko after)

**Ground-Types**: Rhyperior, Nidoqueen and Krookodile are immune to Overdrive and threaten to KO it with their STAB attacks, though the latter two risk an OHKO from Boomburst. Palossand, however, is resistant or immune to all three of Toxtricity’s most used attacks, and always threatens to remove it with Earth Power.

**Faster Pokemon**: Though they must be careful around Shift Gear sets, Toxtricity’s low base speed and natural bulk leave it prey to Pokemon that outspeed it naturally, such as Keldeo, Lycanroc-D and Draco Meteor Salamence. (lycanroc can also pick off weakened boosted tox w prio)

[OVERVIEW]

Toxtricity carries a unique niche in UU, in that it is a fearsome Electric-type breaker that isn’t shut down by the tier’s Grass-Types, most notably Amoonguss and Tangrowth. I'd also add Ground-types into this first sentence considering Boomburst smacks most of the popular ones Its unique ability Punk Rock combined with access to Boomburst allows it to maintain pressure on Pokemon that resist its STAB combination, such as Rhyperior, Quagsire maybe Nidoqueen here instead since Quagsire has fallen off a bit, and Gastrodon Seismitoad is a bit more common so maybe replace Gastro with it. Toxtricity’s typing yields immunities to poison and paralysis, making it handy for Pokemon that like to spread status, such as Thunder Wave Grimmsnarl and Toxic Chansey. I'd remove this sentence since it doesn't feel like a very major selling point of Toxtricity's niche Its typing is also relatively decent defensively, allowing Toxtricity to come in on Iron Head from Jirachi and Bullet Punch from Scizor and threaten to 2HKO them on the next turn I'd add that it can pivot in on various defensive Pokemon, like Sylveon and Amoonguss. Despite Toxtricity's middling Speed, its access to Shift Gear allows it to outpace the likes of Keldeo, Alakazam put a new example here, and even Choice Scarf Krookodile, making it a great late-game cleaner on offensive teams. However, Toxtricity’s STAB combination as well as Boomburst all have a type that is immune to those attacks. Furthermore, Toxtricity is 4x-weak to Ground-type moves, and its STAB combination is resisted by Ground-type Pokemon. These two nuisances make Toxtricity’s role as a breaker more prediction-reliant than most others, as it struggles to break cores of Pokemon that are immune to Toxtricity’s three main attacks, including Palossand, Skarmory, these two need to replaced with Pokemon that are currently legal/viable in the tier and Nidoqueen. Though Toxtricity's base 75 Speed is enough to outspeed the bulkier threats it is able to deal with, its 75/70/70 bulk leave it prey to revenge killers such as Alakazam new example needed, Lycanroc-D and Krookodile. Additionally, priority users such as Crawdaunt, Scizor, and Mamoswine can all halt a sweep by KOing a chipped Toxtricity with Aqua Jet, Bullet Punch, and Ice Shard, respectively. Lastly, it is met with stiff competition as an Electric-type. Though Toxtricity has its advantages in raw breaking power, Zeraora has a deeper movepool and greater speed, giving it a better matchup against revenge killers than Toxtricity. Give a different example here now that Zeraora is OU. The thundies provide pretty stiff competition and are probably most important to note here.

[SET COMMENTS]

Paragraph 1

Boomburst is the most powerful move on this set, allowing Toxtricity to smack Ground-types such as Quagsire, Gastrodon and Krookodile for heavy damage. I'd add another sentence here that states it can also deal fairly hefty damage to Rhyperior, wearing it down over time. Sludge Wave is Toxtricity’s secondary STAB move. Despite not receiving the Punk Rock boost, this move can still power through the Fairy- and Grass-types in the tier, namely Tapu Bulu, Primarina, and Tangrowth. Sludge Bomb is another option over Sludge Wave, sacrificing a bit of immediate power. Despite this, the greater poison chance that Sludge Bomb yields is better for accumulating residual damage on Pokemon resistant to Toxtricity’s STAB combination, such as Rhyperior and Palossand, though Toxtricity must be wary to not lock himself into this move around Bulletproof Kommo-o. I have these two sentences bolded because I think they're too long/wordy. I'd condense this information into one sentence while also using more current examples than Palossand Volt Switch is Toxtricity’s way of generating momentum in the face of non-immune threats, much like Chansey, that it is not capable of breaking through. 252 EVs in Special Attack with a Modest Nature maximizes Toxtricity’s damage output. This in conjunction with Choice Specs allow Toxtricity’s STAB attacks to land OHKOs on specially bulky variants of Slowking, Celesteela, and Tangrowth after entry hazard damage, while still being able to combat Suicune after one Calm Mind. Info that can already be gathered so I'd remove it. Changing the nature from Modest to Timid will give Toxtricity the Speed necessary to outpace Adamant Gyarados and Mamoswine as well as Modest Nidoqueen. However, there exists a noticeable difference in damage output which can make Toxtricity miss out on valuable OHKOs on the aforementioned special walls.

Paragraph 2

Toxtricity, being a potent breaker, fits on balanced or hyper-offensive teams and will be most useful in the early- to mid-game, where its goal is to force bulky threats such as Slowking find a new example, Celesteela and Tangrowth off the field and punch huge holes in the opposition using its three main attacks. Toxtricity appreciates entry hazard support from setters such as Mew, Krookodile, and Skarmory also needs a new example to punish the opponent's answers for switching into it, accumulating damage over time on vulnerable checks such as Rhyperior that will allow Toxtricity to pick up KOs more reliably. Furthermore, Keldeo’s access to Flip Turn can form a VoltTurn core with Toxtricity, and its tendency to lure in threats such as Slowkingnew example and Tangrowth can give Toxtricity the openings it needs to wreak havoc. Paragraph 1

Shift Gear grants Toxtricity the ability to contend with would-be threats that are faster than it, such as Keldeo and Choice Scarf Krookodile after a boost while still being able to land solid 2HKOs on bulkier threats such as Tangrowth, Slowking, and Celesteela Shift Gear has no bearing on its special damage output so I'd remove this and instead say that it can boost its Attack, allowing it to power up Drain Punch. Boomburst allows Toxtricity to smack Ground-types like Gastrodon and Quagsire use Nidoqueen here instead for 2HKOs, as well as Krookodile for an OHKO. Drain Punch allows Toxtricity to defeat its greatest counter, Chansey, in a vacuum. Thanks to Chansey’s huge HP stat, Toxtricity’s Drain Punch can heal more than Chansey can deal to it with Seismic Toss. The health regained from this move can also help Toxtricity stay healthy against a weakened foe whittled down into range of the attack. A Life Orb is recommended on this set to give Toxtricity the immediate damage it needs to secure 2HKOs on specially defensive Amoonguss and Assault Vest Tangrowth after hazard damage. However, Rash is preferred because the damage difference between the two natures makes Toxtricity miss out on 2HKOs on the aforementioned Amoonguss and Assault Vest Tangrowth after hazard damage.

Paragraph 2

Shift Gear turns Toxtricity into a terrifying late-game sweeper, fitting best on hyper-offensive archetypes. Toxtricity appreciates help from breakers such as Keldeo and Choice Band Victini new example needed here to clear the way for it to sweep in the late-game by taking care of threats such as Rhyperior, Chansey and Palossand here as well, the latter of which Toxtricity is unable to hit with this set. Additionally, entry hazard setters such as Mew and Skarmory here too help Toxtricity accumulate damage on checks every switch-in, allowing Toxtricity to secure KOs on Quagsire, Nidoqueen, and Necrozma after one layer of Spikes. Calm Mind Primarina is useful in that it can break Ground-type checks like Palossand here too. Priority moves, including Bisharp's Sucker Punch and Scizor's Bullet Punch, can heavily damage Toxtricity or halt a sweep, making Kommo-o and Keldeo for the former as well as Jirachi and Zeraora here too for the latter useful to have alongside Toxtricity. Jirachi and Scizor have a resistance to Psychic-type attacks as well as access to U-turn, which they could use on an opponent’s forced switch-in to help lead Toxtricity into a battle safely and preserve its HP, which is valuable on a Life Orb set. Tapu Bulu appreciates Toxtricity’s ability to break its threats like Skarmory here too and Tangrowth, and can switch in on Ground-type attacks while supporting teammates including Toxtricity that are weak to them. Grimmsnarl and Alolan Ninetales are great choices alongside Toxtricity, as their access to dual screens and Aurora Veil respectively can help Toxtricity set up its Shift Gears more easily. With them, it is able to stomach one Draco Meteor from Salamence, one Hydro Pump from Choice Specs Keldeo, and Earthquakes from defensive variants of Kommo-o, Tangrowth, and Celesteela just use the first two examples here considering Celesteela often can't actually fit Earthquake and set up a Shift Gear in front of them.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Snarl is another option in Toxtricity’s movepool, and is plausible on the Choice Specs set over Sludge Wave or Sludge Bomb. Like Toxtricity’s Overdrive and Boomburst, it is also boosted by Punk Rock and is a great option to deal with the Ghost-types that are immune to Overdrive, like Palossand and Golurk. This doesn't need to be here now that Palossand and Golurk have both been unranked from the VR. A set running a Choice Scarf can also work as it turns Toxtricity into a revenge-killer that is able to outpace threats such as Keldeo, Thundurus-I and Alakazam new example needed here while still having a Special Attack-boosting nature. Another item that Toxtricity can use on a Shift Gear set is Throat Spray, as long as Sludge Bomb or Sludge Wave is used over Drain Punch. When used, this item gives a boost to Toxtricity’s Special Attack comparable to that of a Choice Specs.

**Psychic-Types**: Alakazam is a potent offensive threat in the tier that can force out Toxtricity, and Focus Sash variants of it can take a Boomburst and OHKO with Psychic afterwards. Find a new Pokemon to cite instead now that Alakazam is banned. AV Reuniclus doesn't seem like a bad idea to include. Additionally, Mew can take an Overdrive at full health and can force Toxtricity off the field. Both can take Toxtricity’s forced switch-out to set up for a sweep, however these two cannot switch directly into Toxtricity due to taking massive damage on switch-in you'll probably need to modify this sentence a bit considering the new example I've asked you to add can often switch in if it's healthy enough.

Now that this sentence is removed, I'd just add a new one that states Rhyperior can also be overwhelmed by taking multiple Boombursts over time just so that this section isn't too barren.

**Faster Pokemon**: Though they must be careful around Shift Gear sets, Toxtricity’s low base speed and natural bulk leave it prey to Pokemon that outspeed it naturally, such as Keldeo, Draco Meteor Salamence, and Lycanroc-D. The latter of which can use Accelerock to stop a weakened Toxtricity from sweeping with Shift Gear.

===================

**Chansey**: Though it must be wary of Shift Gear sets with Drain Punch, Chansey can stand in the way of Toxtricity’s strongest offensive moves with ease. It can use Toxtricity’s switch-out turn to heal itself with Soft-Boiled as Toxtricty switches out, begin keep momentum with Teleport, and spread status with Toxic or Thunder Wave.

**Psychic-Types -types**: Assault Vest Reuniclus is a Pokemon that can directly counter Toxtricity, as it can comfortably switch-in on switch into Boomburst on any set and force Toxtricity to switch out. Furthermore, its Regenerator ability allows it to heal off most of Boomburst’s damage on switch-out, so it can keep switching into Boombursts Boomburst as long as it is healthy. Additionally, Mew can take an Overdrive at full health and force Toxtricity off the field, using its switch-out turn to set up setting up entry hazards as Toxtricty is forced out. However, it is never safe to switch into a Boomburst.

**Ground-Types -types**: Rhyperior, Nidoqueen,(AC) and Krookodile are immune to Overdrive and threaten to KO it Toxtricity with their STAB attacks. The former, though resistant to Boomburst, is easily worn down by it due to its lack of recovery, and the latter two risk an OHKO from it.

**Faster Pokemon**: Though they must be careful around Shift Gear sets, Toxtricity’s low base speed Speed and natural poor bulk leave it prey to Pokemon that outspeed it naturally, such as Keldeo, Draco Meteor Salamence, and Lycanroc-D. The latter of which can use Accelerock to stop a weakened Toxtricity from sweeping with Shift Gear.

[OVERVIEW]

Toxtricity carries a unique niche in UU in that it is as a fearsome Electric-type wallbreaker that isn't(ASCII Apostrophe) shut down by the tier's(ASCII Apostrophe) Grass- and Ground-types. Thanks to its unique ability Punk Rock and access to Boomburst, Toxtricity is able to deal chunks of heavy damage to the likes of walls like Amoonguss, Tangrowth, and Rhyperior,(RC) and maintain pressure on Pokemon that resist its STAB combination, such as Nidoqueen and Seismitoad. In addition, Toxtricity has a relatively decent defensive typing, allowing it to come in on Iron Head from Jirachi and Bullet Punch from Scizor(replace scizor mention) and threaten to 2HKO them on the next turn. It can also pivot into various passive Pokemon such as Sylveon and Amoonguss. Despite Toxtricity's middling Speed, its access to Shift Gear can allow it to outpace the likes of foes like Keldeo, Salamence, and even Choice Scarf Krookodile, making it a great late-game cleaner on offensive teams. However, Toxtricity’s STAB combination as well as Boomburst all have a type that is immune to those attacks. Furthermore, Toxtricity is 4x weak to Ground-type moves, and its STAB combination is resisted by Ground-type Pokemon.(This is just dex info) These two nuisances make Toxtricity’s role as a breaker more prediction-reliant than most others, as it struggles to break cores that are immune to at least one of its three main attacks, including Aegislash and Nidoqueen. However, Toxtricity's STAB attacks and Boomburst have immunities, making it a prediction-reliant wallbreaker that struggles to break through cores like Aegislash + Nidoqueen. Though Although Toxtricity's base 75 Speed is enough to outspeed the bulkier threats it is able to deal with, its 75/70/70 bulk leaves it prey to revenge killers such as Keldeo, Lycanroc-D,(AC) and Krookodile. Additionally, priority users such as Crawdaunt, Scizor(replace scizor mention), and Mamoswine can all halt a sweep by KOing a chipped Toxtricity with Aqua Jet, Bullet Punch, and Ice Shard,(RC) respectively. Lastly, it is met with stiff competition as an Electric-type. Though Toxtricity has its advantages in raw breaking power, the two Thundurus forms have a wider pool of coverage and a greater Speed stat. Toxtricity faces stiff competition as an Electric-type with Thundurus and Thundurus-T, which offer better coverage and Speed.

move 3: Boomburst
move 4: Volt Switch
item: Choice Specs
ability: Punk Rock
nature: Modest / Timid
evs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Boomburst is the most powerful move on this set, allowing Toxtricity to smack heavily damaging Ground-types such as Quagsire, Seismitoad, and Krookodile for heavy damage.(remove period) It works especially well on those that don’t have a recovery move, like Rhyperior, that can easily be chipped over time and wearing down switch-ins without recovery like Rhyperior. Despite not receiving the Punk Rock boost, Sludge Wave can still power through the Fairy- and Grass-types in the tier,(RC) namely such as Tapu Bulu, Primarina, and Tangrowth. Sludge Bomb is a viable alternative over Sludge Wave,(RC) as in exchange for a miniscule difference in immediate power, it yields a greater poison chance, which is best against switch-ins that cannot easily heal off residual damage, to poison and wear down switch-ins like Rhyperior and Seismitoad. Volt Switch is Toxtricity’s way of generating generates momentum in the face of against non-immune threats that Toxtricity cannot break through, much like Chansey,(RC) that it is not capable of breaking through. Changing the nature from Modest to Timid will give Toxtricity the Speed necessary to outpace Adamant Gyarados and Mamoswine as well as Modest Nidoqueen. However, there exists a noticeable difference in damage output, which can make Toxtricity miss out on valuable OHKOs on the aforementioned special walls.

Toxtricity,(RC) being a potent breaker,(RC) fits on balance and hyper offense teams as a potent wallbreaker and will be is most useful in the early- to mid-game, where its goal is to it can force out bulky threats such as Seismitoad, Celesteela and Tangrowth off the field and punch huge holes in the opposition using its three main attacks opposing team. Toxtricity appreciates entry hazard support from setters such as Mew and Krookodile to punish the opponent's answers for switching into it,(RC) accumulating damage over time and accumulate chip damage on vulnerable checks such as Rhyperior,(AC) that will which allows Toxtricity to pick up KOs more reliably. Toxtricity can compliment these entry hazard setters by taking advantage of removal options such as Tentacruel and Salamence by threatening at least a to 2HKO with its powerful attacks entry hazard removers like Tentacruel and Salamence. Additionally, Toxtricity appreciates Pokemon that can scare threaten to KO and force out specially defensive walls off the field and threaten to KO in turn. Keldeo is a prime example of a wallbreaker that excels at dealing with Ground-types,(RC) and despite being a special breaker,(RC) it can force and forcing out Chansey thanks to Secret Sword. Furthermore, Flip Turn Keldeo can form a VoltTurn core with Toxtricity,(RC) and its tendency to lure in threats such as Amoonguss and Tangrowth can give for Toxtricity the openings it needs to wreak havoc. Pokemon that resist Ground-type attacks, such as Tapu Bulu and Zarude, make great partners,(AC) as both struggle to break the likes of benefit from Toxtricity eliminating Tangrowth, Celesteela, and Amoonguss,(RC) which Toxtricity can eliminate for them. Zarude’s access to U-turn,(AC) combined with Toxtricity's ability to break its previously mentioned threats checks,(AC) yields another VoltTurn core that Toxtricity benefits from.

[SET]
name(lowercase): Shift Gear
move 1: Shift Gear
move 2: Overdrive
move 3: Boomburst
move 4: Drain Punch
item: Life Orb
ability: Punk Rock
nature: Rash / Naive
evs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Shift Gear grants Toxtricity the ability to contend with would-be threats that are faster than it, such as Keldeo and Choice Scarf Krookodile,(AC) after a boost. Boomburst allows Toxtricity to smack Ground-types like Gastrodon and Nidoqueen for 2HKOs, as well as Krookodile for an OHKO 2HKOes Ground-types like Gastrodon and Nidoqueen and OHKOes Krookodile. Drain Punch allows Toxtricity to defeat its greatest counter,(RC) in Chansey,(RC) in a vacuum.(remove period) Thanks to Chansey’s huge HP stat, Toxtricity’s Drain Punch can heal more than Chansey can deal to it with by healing enough to offset Seismic Toss damage. Drain Punch is also useful to pick off weakened foes and keep Toxtricity healthy. A Life Orb is recommended on this set to gives Toxtricity the immediate damage it needs to secure 2HKOs on specially defensive Amoonguss and Assault Vest Tangrowth after entry hazard damage. An alternative nature is Naive, letting Toxtricity outspeed faster Choice Scarf users in the tier such as Jirachi and Keldeo. However, Rash is preferred because the damage difference between the two natures makes Toxtricity miss out on 2HKOs on the aforementioned Grass-types. A Rash nature is preferred to secure 2HKOs on the aforementioned Grass-types, but a Naive nature can be used to outspeed fast Choice Scarf users such as Jirachi and Keldeo.

Shift Gear turns Toxtricity into a terrifying late-game sweeper,(RC) fitting that fits best on hyper-offensive hyper offense archetypes. Toxtricity appreciates help from wallbreakers such as Keldeo and Choice Band Scizor(replace scizor mention) to clear the way for it to sweep in the late-game by taking care of threats such as Rhyperior, Chansey and Reuniclus to help it sweep late-game. Additionally, entry hazard setters such as Mew and Krookodile help to accumulate chip damage on its checks, allowing Toxtricity to secure KOs on Quagsire, Nidoqueen, and Necrozma after entry hazard damage. Calm Mind Primarina is useful in that it can break to beat Ground-type checks,(RC) such as Rhyperior. Dragon Dance Salamence appreciates Toxtricity's(ASCII Apostrophe) ability to break through Celesteela and Tangrowth and can sweep late-game once its checks are dealt with. Priority moves,(RC) including Scizor's Bullet Punch,(RC)(replace scizor mention) like Azumarill's Aqua Jet(this was the best example i could find) can heavily damage Toxtricity or halt a sweep, making Jirachi and Rotom-W useful to have alongside Toxtricity. Jirachi and Scizor(replace scizor mention) resist Psychic and have access to U-turn,(RC) which they could use on an opponent’s forced switch-in to get Toxtricity safely into battle on a forced switch and preserve its HP, which is valuable on a the Life Orb set. Tapu Bulu can switch into Ground-type attacks while supporting and support teammates that are weak to them,(RC) like Toxtricity. Grimmsnarl and Alolan Ninetales are great choices alongside Toxtricity, as their access to dual screens and Aurora Veil, respectively, they can help Toxtricity set up more easily with dual screens support. With them dual screens, it is able to stomach one Draco Meteor from Salamence, one Hydro Pump from Choice Specs Keldeo, and Earthquake from defensive variants of Kommo-o and Tangrowth and set up a with Shift Gear in front of them.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

A Choice Scarf set turns Toxtricity into a revenge killer that is able to outpace threats such as Keldeo, Thundurus, and Azelf while still having a Special Attack-boosting nature. Another item that Toxtricity can use on a Shift Gear set is Throat Spray is an option on Shift Gear sets, as long as Sludge Bomb or Sludge Wave is used over Drain Punch.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Chansey**: Though Although it must be wary of Shift Gear sets with Drain Punch, Chansey can stand in the way of Toxtricity’s strongest offensive moves with ease. It can heal itself with Soft-Boiled as Toxtricty switches out, keep momentum with Teleport, and spread status with Toxic or Thunder Wave.

**Psychic-types**: Assault Vest Reuniclus can directly counter Toxtricity, as it can comfortably switch into Boomburst on any set and force Toxtricity to switch out. Furthermore, its Regenerator ability Regenerator allows it to heal off most of Boomburst’s damage,(RC) so it can keep switching into Boomburst as long as it is healthy and lets it consistently switch into Toxtricity. Additionally,(RC) Mew can take an Overdrive at full health and force Toxtricity off the field,(RC) setting to set up entry hazards as Toxtricity is forced out. However, it is never safe to cannot switch into a Boomburst.

**Faster Pokemon**: Though Although they must be careful around Shift Gear sets, Toxtricity's(ASCII Apostrophe) low base Speed and poor natural bulk leave it prey to Pokemon that outspeed it naturally, such as Keldeo, Salamence, and Lycanroc-D. The latter can even use Accelerock to stop a weakened Toxtricity from sweeping with Shift Gear.

GP 2/2. [DC, 449990] Please be careful with implementation. There are curly apostrophes in the analysis, so make sure to give this a re-read and double check in case I missed them.
