:Vileplume:

[OVERVIEW]
With its great typing, amazing bulk, and numerous utility options, Vileplume acts as a check to common Pokemon in the tier such as Mienshao, Flygon, Dhelmise, and Golisopod. Its great Poison / Grass typing and reliable recovery options make Vileplume difficult for opposing teams to wear down. With Effect Spore, it has a chance to passively punish physical attackers and pivots. Vileplume's natural strength and unique combination of STAB moves in Giga Drain and Sludge Bomb make it difficult to switch into. Vileplume can also serve as a great tool against bulky Steel-types like Copperajah and Bronzong, as Corrosive Gas removes their held items and Sleep Powder puts them to sleep. However, Vileplume is slow and vulnerable to Psychic- and Fire-types as well as strong special attackers such as Goodra, Dragalge, and Exploud. Vileplume is also easily worn down by entry hazards, and it has difficulty switching into strong physical wallbreakers like Golurk and Tyrantrum.

Strength Sap is one of Vileplume’s biggest assets to check Pokemon like Mienshao, Copperajah, and Golisopod. Corrosive Gas removes the item of common switch-ins like Bronzong, Copperajah, and Arcanine. Alternatively, Sleep Powder can be used to put common switch-ins such as Talonflame and Arcanine to sleep, making it safer for Vileplume to switch out on them. Black Sludge gives Vileplume extra recovery, but running no item is better for checking Knock Off and Poltergeist users like Pangoro and Golurk.

Vileplume is weak to Flying-types, so Steel- and Rock-types such as Bronzong, Copperajah, and Diancie that can check Talonflame and Braviary are appreciated. In return, Vileplume can check Rotom-C, Decidueye, and Gastrodon for them. Vileplume struggles against strong Psychic-types such as Cresselia, Starmie, and Indeedee-F; therefore, partners like Bronzong and Copperajah are great. Vileplume in return checks Fighting-types such as Mienshao for them. Vileplume dislikes Fire-types like Salazzle, so Mantine and Goodra are great partners for it. Vileplume and Guzzlord form a great core, since they are able to wall physical and special attackers while canceling out each other's weaknesses; Vileplume helps with Fighting- and Fairy-types, and Guzzlord helps with Psychic-types. Offensive teammates like Flygon and Starmie both target Dragalge and Arcanine, which Vileplume has trouble with.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
====

Leech Seed inflicts residual damage on opposing Pokemon and gives Vileplume an option for more recovery. While having less PP than Leech Seed, Synthesis gives Vileplume consistent recovery. Moonblast can put out some extra damage on Fighting-, Dark-, and Dragon-types and nails Pangoro. Aromatherapy can be used if the team needs a cleric option. Growth can turn Vileplume into a wincon late-game at the cost of its utility in Corrosive Gas or Sleep Powder.

Checks and Counters
====

**Psychic-types**: Psychic-types such as Starmie, Cresselia, and Celebi threaten Vileplume with Psychic or Stored Power. They can force out Vileplume, but none of them want to get poisoned by Sludge Bomb.

**Flying-types**: Aerodactyl can dish out huge damage with Dual Wingbeat. Ninjask and Braviary resist Giga Drain, and Braviary also gains a Defiant boost from Strength Sap. However, all of them have to be wary about switching into Sludge Bomb and getting poisoned.

**Fire-types**: Salazzle, Talonflame, and Charizard can threaten out Vileplume with their strong STAB options, but switching into Corrosive Gas is problematic, as it removes their Heavy-Duty Boots.

**Strong Wallbreakers**: Choice Band users such as Tyrantrum and Bewear threaten Vileplume with Head Smash and Double-Edge, respectively. Dragalge, Guzzlord, and Exploud threaten Vileplume with their STAB moves and coverage.

**Strength Sap Blockers**: Xatu, Espeon, and Goodra can all block Vileplume's recovery from Strength Sap with Magic Bounce and Sap Sipper, limiting its ability to switch into Pangoro and Flygon.

[Overview]
With its great typing, amazing bulk, and numerous utility-options Vileplume can act as a great check to common Pokemon in the tier such as Mienshao, Flygon, Decidueye, and Virizion. Its unique traits in Strength Sap, Corrosive Gas and Sleep Powder is what sets it apart from most physical checks in NU, which makes it an appreciated defensive Pokemon in the tier. Vileplume has a great STAB combination in Giga Drain and Sludge Bomb, which annoys a lot of common Pokemon in the NU tier. Vileplume is able to check not only physical attackers in the tier, but it can also serve as a great tool against bulky Steel-types like Copperajah and Bronzong. Moreover Vileplume is also a great Pokemon for bulky team varaints which are in need of a check to incoming Pokemon which can threaten Vileplumes' teampartners. Vileplume dislikes strong attackers such as Espeon, Goodra, and Galarian Articuno as it gets hit super-effectively by these Pokemon and therefore can't tank moves aimed at it. Vileplume is also prone to damage taken by entry hazards like Stealth Rock and Spikes and renders its usefulness of checking opposing Pokemon in the tier.

Replace the mons at the start with golisopod and dhelmise.

Plume is unique, but not for the reasons you stated. The reason it's so unique in what it does is A. It's durable aka it never dies. Why? Typing, reliable recovery. B. Effect Spore. You scare off many physical attackers / physical pivoting moves just cause of its ability alone. C. For a defensive mon it has excellent offensive presence with that good spatk stat and spammable moves, poison chance of sludge bomb.

"it can also serve as a great tool against bulky Steel-types like Copperajah and Bronzong" explain! What does it do vs bulky Steel-types?

Replace the special attackers with Salazzle and Starmie. Also mention that these are special attackers capitalizing on Vileplumes typing.

Conclusion: Overview should reflect its positives and negatives. Positives are typing, bulk, ability, recovery, decent damage output for a defensive mon. Negatives are slow, vulnerable to fire and psychic-types, strong special attackers.

Giga Drain is Vileplumes' primary STAB and is able to grant it with more longevity due to its ability to damage and gain HP back simultaniously. Giga Drain hits Pokemon such as Gastrodon, Mudsdale and Golurk. Sludge Bomb is its secondary STAB and is a great offensive tool as it has the chance to poison incoming checks which switch into it. Strength Sap is one of Vileplumes' biggest tools as with Strength Sap it is enabled to check common dangerous Pokemon including the likes of Mienshao, Copperajah and Golisopod Decidueye and Swords Dance Virizion with the trait to regain health back and to lower the opposing Pokemons attack by 1 stage. Corrosive Gas could removes the item of common switch-ins like invalidate the held items such as Leftovers by destroying the item for the rest of the battle and can turn situations around with helping its teammates to disable the longevity of the opposing Pokemon and helps Vileplume to have a better matchup against Copperajah and Bronzong . Alternatively, Sleep Powder could can be used to put common switch-ins to sleepcripple opposing Pokemon and to put them to sleep such as Galarian Articuno, Talonflame, and Arcanine Charizard; Sleep Powder also cripples any non-Grass-type Pokemon in the tier and therefore is a useful tool for Vileplume. Black Sludge is used for more longevity so Vileplume stays healthy over the long term of the game gives it passive recovery, whereas No Item is preferred if it aims to check the dangerous Ghost-types such as Dhelmise and Golurk as it prevents Vileplume to take any damage from their STAB move Poltergeist. Effect Spore is a great utility and has the advantage to inflict status at an opposing Pokemon such as poison, paralysis, or sleep with a 30% chance and therefore makes it annoying for opposing Pokemon to deal with Vileplume and annoys Pokemon with contact moves and moreover is able to punish U-turners like Mienshao. Bold nature in conjunction with maximum invest in its HP and defense is used to fully capitalize on Vileplumes ability to check dangerous physical attackers in the metagame.

"chance to poison incoming checks which switch into it" checks like?
There's no need to explain what the moves do. Keep it simple.
Expand/rephrase Corrosive Gas; removing the item of common switch-ins, Steel and Fire-types specifically cause they rely on Leftovers/boots.
Sleep Powder: puts switch-ins to sleep --> sap them if they're physical attackers to render them even more useless OR free switch to a teammate
Effect Spore: simple, can potentially punish physical attackers and spread status

Vileplume is a great fit on bulky teams archetypes and therefore appreciates partners which can switch into strong super-effective hits for it and also strong coverage moves. Teammates such as Mantine, Diancie, Bronzong, Guzzlord and Copperajah are great Pokemon as teampartners for Vileplume and they appreciate each others ability to cancel out major weaknesses. Vileplume is incredibly weak to Fire-type attacks and therefore appreciates Mantine as a partner. Due to its solid bulk Mantine can check Pokemon such as Salazzle and Arcanine for Vileplume. Mantine can also Defog entry hazards away for it and can moreover act as a ground-immunity for Vileplume as it dislikes strong ground-type attacks. Vileplume in return can check strong ?Grass-types? such as Rotom-Mow for it This is more cause Vileplume doesn't care about its Electric-type moves. Vileplume appreciates Diancie as Diancie can set up Stealth Rocks and can check foes such as Talonflame and Braviary for Vileplume, as Vileplume dislikes these Pokemon. In return Vileplume can help out versus strong Grass- and Water-types such as Decidueye, Rotom-Mow and Gastrodon which Dianxie really doesn't appreciate facing Add Mudsdale and make it Ground-types. Bronzong is also a great partner for Vileplume as it can check strong Psychic-types such as Espeon, and Starmie. Vileplume, when itemless, can switch into Knock Off for Bronzong and can annoy common Pokemon with Knock off in their arsenal with its ability in Effect Spore, these Pokemon include Mienshao and Drapion. Vileplume and Guzzlord are a phenomenal duo, as Vileplume can help Guzzlord with strong Fighting- and Fairy-types and Guzzlord can switch into Psychic-types for Vileplume. Goodra is an amazing partner for Vileplume as both build up a great defensive synergy with Goodra checking Fire-types such as Salazzle for Vileplume, whereas Vileplume checks Sylveon and Comfey for Goodra. Both Goodra and Vileplume can be an annoyance to the common Pokemon in Rotom-Mow. Goodra can also help in checking Celebi for Vileplume.

Leech Seed is a great recovery giving move as Vileplume can further its own longevity during the game and can hit Pokemon such as Arcanine, Galarian Articuno, and Dragalge. Rephrase, Leech Seed acts similarly to Corrosive Gas but gives you the instant damage/recovery.
Toxic reks up damage pretty fast and is a 100% accurate move and can be used to put Pokemon such as Galarian Articuno and Celebi on a timer.
Synthesis grants Vileplume more longevity but this move has only 8 PP and gets disrupted by weather changes such as Sand and Hail which make Synthesis less effective of a recovery move. Rephrase, less PP but consistent recovery

Moonblast nails Pangoro, extra damage vs fighters/darks/dragons.
Aromatherapy
Growth, turns plume into a wincon

**Psychic-types**: Psychic-type Pokemon such as Galarian Articuno Starmie, Espeon, and Celebi can threaten Vileplume with their super-effective STAB move options in Freezing Glare for the former and Psychic for the latter two. Espeon can also come in and use its ability Magic Bounce to bounce back any non-damaging moves and is a great option to force out Vileplume.

**Flying-types**: Aerodactyl can all dish out huge damage with its Flying-type STAB moves in Dual Wingbeat. Ninjask is also threatening for Vileplume with its STAB in Acrobatics. Braviary is threatening as well with its skyhigh attack stat and STAB in Brave Bird

**Fire-types**: Salazzle, Talonflame, and Charizard can threaten out Vileplume with their strong STAB-options. Furthermore Centiskorch can take care of Vileplume with its phenomenal STAB Fire Lash.

**Strong Wallbreakers**: Choice Band Tyrantrum and Choice Band Bewear can threaten Vileplume with their respective Choice band-boosted STABs, Starmie can threaten Vileplume with its options in Psychic or its coverage in Ice Beam. Dragon-types such as Goodra and Dragalge can be threatening to Vileplume as well.

**Status**: Statusconditions like Burn and Paralysis arwe annoying for Vileplume as it is held back severly in its role. Burn negates Black Sludge-recovery and Paralysis causes Vileplume to be unable to move and therefore acts as a huge momentum drain.

**Entry Hazards**: Despite its many recovery options Vileplume doesn't like to come in on multiple layers of entry hazards such as Stealth Rock and Spikes.

Vileplume is a great fit on bulkier teams, appreciating support from partners that switch into the powerful, super effective hits. Goodra is a great partner for Vilpleume as both have a great defensive synergy. Goodra checks Fire-types like Salazzle and Vileplume checks Sylveon and Comfey. Both, Goodra and Vileplume, annoy the common Pokemon in Rotom-C. Goodra also checks Celebi for Vileplume.

You mention Copperajah as a good teammate but you forget to explain why. You can write it in the Bronzong sentence.

Leech Seed spreads out instant damage on opposing Pokemon and gives Vileplume an option for more recovery. Synthesis while having less PP gives Vileplume consistent recovery. Moonblast can put out some extra damage on Fighting-, Dark-, and Dragon-types and nails Pangoro. **Psychic-types**: Psychic-type Pokemon such as Starmie, Espeon, and Celebi threaten Vileplume with their super-effective STAB options Psychic. Espeon can switch in and use its ability Magic Bounce to bounce back any non-damaging moves and is a great option to force out Vileplume.

**Flying-types**: Aerodactyl can dish out huge damage with its Flying-type STAB move in Dual Wingbeat. Ninjask is also threatening for Vileplume with its STAB moves. Braviary is threatening as well with its skyhigh attack stat and STAB in Brave Bird

This can be said in less words. Mention how Ninjask and Braviary don't care about Giga Drain. Braviary also gets the Defiant boost from Strength Sap.

**Fire-types**: Salazzle, Talonflame, and Charizard can threaten out Vileplume with their strong STAB options. Centiskorch also threatens Vileplume with its STAB Fire Lash.

**Strong Wallbreakers**: Choice Band Tyrantrum and Choice Band Bewear threaten Vileplume with their respective Choice band-boosted STABs. Nitpicky but be specific on which STAB move. Starmie threatens Vileplume with its options in Psychic or its coverage in Ice Beam. Dragon-types such as Goodra and Dragalge threaten Vileplume as well.

Most of these check and counters can't switch into Sludge Bomb. Point it out!

[Overview]
With its great typing, amazing bulk, and numerous utility-options Vileplume acts as a check to common Pokemon in the tier such as Mienshao, Flygon, Dhelmise, and Golisopod. Its great typing in Poison and Grass, Poison / Grass typing (small GP revision) and reliable recovery options makes Vileplume a great defensive Pokemon which is (fluff; basically said in the opening) difficult for opposing teams to wear down. With its ability in Effect Spore it scares many physical attackers off has a chance to passively punish physical attackers and pivots alike. (I wouldn't say scare off, as Mienshao and Pangoro are usually still going to click attacks while they're in, but Effect Spore's chance to punish is really what should be addressed) Despite it being a defensive Pokemon it has a great offensive presence with a good Special Attack and spammable moves with the chance of poisoning an opposing Pokemon with Sludge Bomb. Its natural strength and unique combination of STAB moves in Giga Drain and Sludge Bomb makes Vileplume hard to switch into. (The sentence I removed prior was mostly fluff and covered in this current point for the most part) Vileplume is able to check not only physical attackers in the tier, but it (fluff) can also serve as a great tool against bulky Steel-types like Copperajah and Bronzong, as Corrosive Gas removes held items from them or Sleep Powder can put them to sleep. Vileplume is slow, vulnerable to Psychic- and Fire-types, and strong special attackers such as Salazzle, Goodra, Dragalge, and Starmie Exploud. (why mention Sallazle and Starmie when you already mentioned its Psychic and Fire weakness just prior? Dragalge and Exploud fit better here, and Dragalge should be mentioned for sure as its one of Vileplume's best checks) (Mention that Vileplume also is easily worn down by entry hazards, and falls short by being unable to switch into stronger physical wallbreakers like Golurk and Tyrantrum)

Giga Drain is Vileplume’s primary STAB move and is able to grant it more longevity. Giga Drain hits Pokemon such as Gastrodon, Mudsdale, and Golurk. Sludge Bomb is its secondary STAB and is a great offensive tool with the chance to poison incoming checks such as Talonflame and Arcanine. (STAB moves in the set details are fluff. These are pretty standard and don't need an explanation) Strength Sap is one of Vileplume’s biggest assets as Strength Sap enables it (fluff) to check Pokemon including the likes of Mienshao, Copperajah, (add comma) and Golisopod. Corrosive Gas removes the item of common switch-ins like Steel- and Fire-types respectively, (you'd only use this with prior examples) as they rely on Leftovers or Heavy-Duty Boots which helps Vileplume to have a better matchup against them (Fluff). Alternatively, Sleep Powder can be used to put common switch-ins such as Talonflame and Arcanine to sleep. (add period, remove semi-colon) Black Sludge gives it passive recovery. Not running an Item is preferred if it aims to check Ghost-types such as Dhelmise and Golurk preventing Vileplume to take any damage from their STAB move Poltergeist (restructure this to say that Black Sludge offers extra recovery, but No Item is better for checking Knock Off and Poltergeist users like Pangoro and Golurk). Effect Spore can potentially punish physical attackers and spread status on them. (Fluff, no other ability is viable) Bold nature in conjunction with maximum invest in its HP and Defense is used to fully capitalize on Vileplume’s ability to check physical attackers. (Fluff; max EV investments do not need explanations)

Vileplume is a great fit on bulkier teams, appreciating support from partners that switch into the powerful, super effective hits. Teampartners such as Mantine, Diancie, Bronzong, Guzzlord and Copperajah are great Pokemon for Vileplume and appreciate each others ability to cancel out major weaknesses. (Fluff; you mention all these examples later and theres no need for an introductory statement for them) Vileplume is weak to Fire-type attacks and therefore appreciates Mantine as a partner. Due to its bulk Mantine checks Pokemon such as Salazzle and Arcanine. Vileplume in return checks strong Pokemon such as Rotom-C for it, as Vileplume doesn't care about its Electric-type moves. Vileplume appreciates Diancie, as Diancie checks foes such as Talonflame and Braviary. In return Vileplume can help out versus strong Grass- and Ground-types such as Decidueye, Rotom-C, Gastrodon, and Mudsdale. Bronzong and Copperajah are also a great partners for Vileplume, as they check strong Psychic-types such as Espeon, Galarian Articuno, and the lesser common Indeedee-F (Examples are based on the VR. There's no special reason why B rank Indeedee is phrased like this when Espeon and g-cuno are B- and C rank. Additionally, general examples should be B rank and up, so remove Espeon and g-cuno here and replace with higher ranked mons). Itemless Vileplume can switch into Knock Off for Bronzong and annoys common Pokemon with Knock Off such as Mienshao and Drapion with its ability Effect Spore. Vileplume and Guzzlord are a great duo, as Vileplume can help Guzzlord with strong Fighting- and Fairy-types and Guzzlord switches into Psychic-types. Goodra is a great partner for Vilpleume as both have a great defensive synergy. (Fluff) Goodra checks Fire-types like Salazzle and Vileplume checks Sylveon and Comfey. Both, Goodra and Vileplume, annoy the common Pokemon in Rotom-C. Goodra also checks Celebi for Vileplume.

(This section was too long and specific. There might be a couple singular Pokemon that pair really well with Vileplume, but for brevity's sake, the teammate section should mostly lump partners together. You can say Steel-types like Copperajah and Bronzong, Pokemon that resist Flying attacks like Diance and Copperjah, or just general special walls like Mantine and Guzzlord, and then in the same sentence explain why these groups benefit / benefit off of Vileplume. It was also only defensive partners, and Vileplume still works on balance with offensive partners like Flygon and Starmie that target Pokemon its weak to like Dragalge and Arcanine, or say something of the sort. Try to reogarnize this part with these ideas in mind + the comments I already made above. )

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
====

Aromatherapy can be used as a cleric option for Vileplume’s teampartners and heals off status conditions. Growth can turn Vileplume into a wincon as it raises its good Special Attack (Fluff; basically explains the move's description) late-game at the cost of supportive coverage for earlier (this is the tradeoff of Growth over cgass / sleep powder that should be addressed) .

Checks and Counters
====

**Psychic-types**: Psychic-type Pokemon such as Starmie, Espeon, and Celebi threaten Vileplume with Psychic. Espeon can switch in and use its ability Magic Bounce to bounce back any non-damaging moves and is a great option to force out Vileplume. (See above) They can force out Vileplume but none of them wants to get poisoned by Sludge Bomb.

**Flying-types**: Aerodactyl can dish out huge damage with its Flying-type STAB move in Dual Wingbeat. Ninjask and Braviary don't care about Giga Drain and Braviary gains a Defiant-boost from Strength Sap. But all of them have to be wary about switching into Sludge Bomb due to the chance of getting poisoned.

**Fire-types**: Salazzle, Talonflame, and Charizard can threaten out Vileplume with their strong STAB options. The poison chance of Sludge Bomb is an extra issue for Talonflame and Charizard so they should be wary about switching into Sludge Bomb. (This is the third caveat that Sludge Bomb annoys its checks; the reader will get the idea by this point. Besides, Corrosive Gas is just as scary to Fire-types, and that could be mentioned instead)

**Strong Wallbreakers**: Choice Band Tyrantrum and Choice Band Bewear threaten Vileplume with their Choice band-boosted STAB moves in Head Smash and Double-Edge respectively. Dragon-types such as Goodra and Dragalge threaten Vileplume as well. (change this to special wallbreakers and list general examples)

No QC yet. There's more to say but I'll leave it at this for now. Overall, there's just a lot of fluff. Aspects like STAB attacks don't need their own sentence in the section details unless they're particularly unique, and the same can be said about a standard ability and EV investment. There's a lot of fluff elsewhere in how Pokemon are introduced that should be taken out completely as it doesn't add anything that the following sentence you write implicitly, or sometimes explicitly, already mentions.

I'm sorry for another roadbump here but we're just making sure everything gets up to speed with what's expected. Thank you for your patience!

With its great typing, amazing bulk, and numerous utility options, (remove hyphen add comma) Vileplume acts as a check to common Pokemon in the tier such as Mienshao, Flygon, Dhelmise, and Golisopod. Its great Poison / Grass typing (remove comma) and reliable recovery options makes Vileplume difficult for opposing teams to wear down. With its ability in Effect Spore it has a chance to passively punish physical attackers and pivots alike. Its natural strength and unique combination of STAB moves in Giga Drain and Sludge Bomb makes Vileplume hard to switch into. Vileplume can also serve as a great tool against bulky Steel-types like Copperajah and Bronzong, as Corrosive Gas removes held items from them or Sleep Powder can put them to sleep. Vileplume is slow, vulnerable to Psychic- and Fire-types, and strong special attackers such as Goodra, Dragalge, and Exploud. Vileplume is easily worn down by entry hazards, (add comma) making it and it also falls short by checking from switching into strong physical wallbreakers like Golurk and Tyrantrum. (hazards or not, Vileplume is still 2HKOd by these two. It can 1v1 them with strength sap and a safe switch-in, so it should be clarified that it only cannot switch into physical wallbreakers; that's still a concern when your physical wall fails here)

Corrosive Gas removes the item of common switch-ins like Steel- and Fire-types. Alternatively, Sleep Powder can be used to put common switch-ins such as Talonflame and Arcanine to sleep, making it safer for Vileplume to switch out on them. (without this last part I added, this sentence was still fluff. Of course Sleep Powder puts targets to sleep, but the point here is that when Vileplume is forced out by these two, they can gain momentum with U-turn or Teleport, respectively. Sleep Powder preserves momentum in these situations, making it safer for it to switch into a check for them) Black Sludge gives Vileplume extra recovery, but No Item is better for checking Knock Off and Poltergeist users like Pangoro and Golurk.

Vileplume is weak to Flying-types so Steel- (spacing) and Rock-types such as Bronzong, Copperajah, and Diancie can check Talonflame and Braviary. In Return return, Vileplume can check Rotom-C, Decidueye, and Gastrodon for them. Vileplume struggles against strong Psychic-types such as Cresselia, Starmie, (add comma) and Indeedee-F, therefore partners like Bronzong and Copperajah are great. Vileplume in return checks Fighting-types such as Mienshao for them. Vileplume dislikes Fire-types like Salazzle so Mantine and Goodra are great checks to it. Vileplume in return deals with Rotom-C and Sylveon. (this section was getting too dependent on the "in return" phrase, and given we can address these two mons elsewhere in the analysis, it's ok to remove it) Vileplume and Guzzlord build a great core since they wall physical and special attackers alike while canceling out their waknesses each other's weaknesses; Vileplume helps with Fighting- and Fairy-types and Guzzlord helps with Psychic-types (the first part I added shows how Guzzlord is used as a general special wall to form a defensive core with Vileplume, the Fairy-types was added to essentially move the Sylveon mention to here). Offensive teammates like Flygon and Starmie both target Dragalge and Arcanine, which Vileplume has trouble with. (this just adds a bridging phrase to show how Vileplume can be supported with more than just defensive teammates)

**Strength Sap Blockers**: (Maybe the best way to put this as a title, and the idea is that these checks (Xatu, Espeon, Goodra) are able to switch in and keep Vileplume low on HP when it attempts to recover with Strength Sap, as Magic Bounce and Strength Sap prevent its healing. While some of these examples also fit elsewhere in the checks section, having their own point is worthwhile to me as they're in a unique place checking Vileplume this way, and when played right they can limit Vileplume's switch-ins to Pangoro / Flygon to only 1 per game–pretty threatening.)

Vileplume, (RC) in return checks Fighting-types such as Mienshao for them. Vileplume dislikes Fire-types like Salazzle, (AC) so Mantine and Goodra are great checks to them partners for it. Vileplume and Guzzlord form a great core, (AC) since they are able to wall physical and special attackers while canceling out each other's weaknesses; Vileplume helps with Fighting- and Fairy-types, (AC) and Guzzlord helps with Psychic-types. Offensive teammates like Flygon and Starmie both target Dragalge and Arcanine, which Vileplume has trouble with.

Other Options

Leech Seed inflicts residual damage on opposing Pokemon and gives Vileplume an option for more recovery. While having less PP than Leech Seed, Synthesis gives Vileplume consistent recovery. Moonblast can put out some extra damage on Fighting-, Dark-, and Dragon-types and nails Pangoro. Aromatherapy can be used if the team needs a cleric option. Growth can turn Vileplume into a wincon late-game but at the cost of its utility in Corrosive Gas or Sleep Powder.

Checks and Counters
====

**Psychic-types**: Psychic-types Pokemon such as Starmie, Cresselia, and Celebi threaten Vileplume with Psychic or Stored Power. They can force out Vileplume, but none of them wants to get poisoned by Sludge Bomb.

**Flying-types**: Aerodactyl can dish out huge damage with Dual Wingbeat. Ninjask and Braviary resists Giga Drain, (AC) and Braviary also gains a Defiant boost from Strength Sap. However, all of them have to be wary about switching into Sludge Bomb and getting poisoned.

**Fire-types**: Salazzle, Talonflame, and Charizard can threaten out Vileplume with their strong STAB options, but switching into Corrosive Gas is problematic, (AC) as it removes their Heavy-Duty Boots.

**Strong Wallbreakers**: Choice Band users such as Tyrantrum and Bewear threaten Vileplume with Head Smash and Double-Edge, respectively. Dragalge, Guzzlord, and Exploud threaten Vilpleume Vileplume with their STAB moves and coverage.

**Strength Sap-Blocker Blockers**: Xatu, Espeon, and Goodra can all block Vileplume's recovery from Strength Sap with Magic Bounce and Sap Sipper, limiting Vileplume's its ability to switch into Pangoro and Flygon.

[Overview] [OVERVIEW]
With its great typing, amazing bulk, and numerous utility options, Vileplume acts as a check to common Pokemon in the tier such as Mienshao, Flygon, Dhelmise, and Golisopod. Its great Poison / Grass typing and reliable recovery options make Vileplume difficult for opposing teams to wear down. With Effect Spore, it has a chance to passively punish physical attackers and pivots. Vileplume's natural strength and unique combination of STAB moves in Giga Drain and Sludge Bomb makes it difficult to switch into. Vileplume can also serve as a great tool against bulky Steel-types like Copperajah and Bronzong, as Corrosive Gas removes their held items and Sleep Powder puts them to sleep. However, Vileplume is slow, (RC) and vulnerable to Psychic- and Fire-types, (RC) and as well as strong special attackers such as Goodra, Dragalge, and Exploud. Vileplume is also easily worn down by entry hazards, and it has difficulty switching into strong physical wallbreakers like Golurk and Tyrantrum.
