[SET COMMENTS]

Thanks to an excellent defensive typing, Marshtomp excels as a special wall that checks Fire-types such as Lampent and Magmar, blocks pivoting attempts from Volt Switch Electabuzz, Klang, and Pikachu, and threatens foes with Earthquake. Scald is a spammable move that lets Marshtomp fish for burns and neuter physical attackers such as Fraxure and Galarian Linoone. Toxic cripples common switch-ins such as Thwackey and Tangela. Alternatively, Yawn can be used to force switches and synergize with Stealth Rock to prevent Defoggers from removing entry hazards. It also punishes Ferroseed and Duosion, which are both immune to Toxic, from switching in. Marshtomp can also opt for a mixed spread of 252 HP / 152 Def / 104 SpD and an Impish nature to better handle Piloswine and Pikachu, while still avoiding a 2HKO from Life Orb Kadabra, and a 3HKO from Electabuzz and Magmar.

Marshtomp should aim to use its typing to force switches and set up Stealth Rock early-game and then focus on walling special attackers. Physical walls such as Koffing, Tangela, and Gurdurr benefit from Marshtomp checking special wallbreakers such as Kadabra and Magmar; in return, they handle physical wallbreakers such as Thwackey and Gurdurr. Pokemon that provide entry hazard control like Gurdurr, Galarian Mr. Mime, and Vullaby keep Marshtomp from being quickly worn down by residual damage. As a wall that lacks reliable recovery, Marshtomp greatly appreciates support from Wish and Healing Wish users such as Clefairy and Hattrem. Pokemon that can check Grass-types such as Golbat, Magmar, and Koffing are solid partners, as they cover for Marshtomp's glaring 4x weakness.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Other Options
=============

Marshtomp can forgo utility to become a more reliable wall with Rest + Sleep Talk, but this requires that another teammate has Stealth Rock instead. Seismic Toss is a plausible replacement for one of its attacks for more consistent damage against Defoggers, especially when paired with Toxic, and it also breaks Rufflet's Substitute. Whirlpool has a niche when paired with Toxic or Yawn, as it allows Marshtomp to severely wear down a Pokemon or guarantees the sleep from Yawn.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Grass-types**: Tangela and Thwackey can switch into Marshtomp's attacks and threaten it out with their Grass-type STAB attacks. Ferroseed can freely set up Spikes against Marshtomp.

**Magic Bounce Users**: Hattrem and Natu prevent Marshtomp from setting up Stealth Rock and reflect its status moves. Hattrem in particular is a threat to Marshtomp, as it often carries Giga Drain.

**Setup Sweepers**: Rufflet and Duosion can use Marshtomp as setup fodder. The former has Substitute to avoid Marshtomp's status moves, while Duosion is immune to Toxic but must be wary of Yawn.

**Residual Damage**: Marshtomp is vulnerable to chip damage from entry hazards and status moves due to its lack of reliable recovery, which limits its ability to check offensive threats.

Thanks to an excellent defensive typing, Marshtomp is able to excel as a special wall checking Fire-types such as Lampent and Magmar and blocking Volt Switch pivoting attempts from Volt Switch Electabuzz, Klang and Pikachu, and threatening them with Earthquake. Scald is a spammable move which lets Marshtomp fish for burns and further neuter physical attackers, but Waterfall is a valid alternative with more immediate power (does this do anything relevant? i can't seem to find a good calc showing why I would go waterfall over scald or seismic toss). Toxic lets Marshtomp cripple common switch-ins such as Thwackey and Tangela. Alternatively, Yawn can be used to force switches which synergises well with Stealth Rock preventing defoggers from removing entry hazards., and It also punishes Ferroseed and Duosion, which are both immune to Toxic, from switching in.

Pokemon with hazard control like Gurdurr, Galarian Mr. Mime, and Wartortle Vullaby help to keep Marshtomp from being worn down quickly by passive damage. As a wall that lacks reliable recovery, Marshtomp greatly appreciates support from Wish and Healing Wish users such as Clefairy and Hattrem. Pokemon that can check Grass-types such as Golbat, Magmar, Koffing, and Rufflet are solid partners as they can cover for Marshtomp's glaring 4x weakness. Marshtomp can forgo utility to become a more reliable wall with RestTalk, but this requires that a teammate has Stealth Rock instead. Seismic Toss is a plausible replacement for one of its attacks for more consistent damage against Grass-types which resist both its STAB moves (seismic toss is more of a way to abuse on status and defog users (also helps to not be passive vs sub rufflet) than grass types, otherwise you would run ice coverage which). Whirlpool has a niche when paired with Toxic or Yawn, as it allows Marshtomp to severely wear down a Pokemon or provide a teammate with the perfect setup opportunity.

Checks and Counters

**Magic Bounce users**: Hattrem and Natu prevent Marshtomp from setting up Stealth Rock and using its status moves. Hattrem in particular is a threat to Marshtomp as it often carries Giga Drain.

**Setup sweepers**: Sweepers that do not mind its Toxic like Substitute Rufflet and Duosion are capable of using Marshtomp as setup fodder, although they should be wary of switching into Yawn.

**Residual Damage**: Marshtomp is prone to chip damage from entry hazards or status moves due to its lack of reliable recovery, which limit its ability to check offensive threats.

thanks and implemented.

AM GP check! Implement what you want.

I think there was only one typo here I fixed. The other changes are with prose. The big one was with passive voice, which I changed to be more active for brevity. For example, instead of "Yawn lets Marshtomp cripple checks," you can write "Yawn cripples checks." This is more direct and concise. Again, implement what you want :)

Marshtomp can also opt for a mixed spread to better handle wallbreakers such Pikachu and Klang, while still fairing decently against special attacks. (You should honestly just give the spread; its super vague rn)

Marshtomp should aim to use its typing to force switches and set up Stealth Rock early-game and then focus on walling special attackers. Physical walls such as Koffing, Tangela, and Gurdurr benefit from Marshtomp checking special wallbreakers such as Kadabra and Magmar;(comma to semicolon) and in return, they handle physical wallbreakers such as Thwackey and Gurdurr. Pokemon that provide entry hazard control like Gurdurr, Galarian Mr. Mime, and Vullaby keep Marshtomp from being quickly worn down quickly by residual damage.

Other Options
=============

Marshtomp can forgo utility to become a more reliable wall with Rest + Sleep Talk, but this requires that another teammate has Stealth Rock instead. Seismic Toss is a plausible replacement for one of its attacks for more consistent damage against Defog users Defoggers, especially when paired with Toxic, and it also breaks Rufflet's Substitute. Whirlpool has a niche when paired with Toxic or Yawn, as it allows Marshtomp to severely wear down a Pokemon or guarantees the sleep from Yawn.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Grass-types**: Tangela and Thwackey can switch into Marshtomp's attacks and threaten it out with their STAB Grass Grass-type STAB attacks.

**Residual Damage**: Marshtomp is prone vulnerable to chip damage from entry hazards and status moves due to its lack of reliable recovery, which limits its ability to check offensive threats.
