also Gen 1 Bionicle may be better than Gen 2, but that's not saying Gen 2 completely sucked either

My brother helps out with the Bionicle wiki, Biosector01, so sometimes I check out their podcast or their Twitter memes. I don't really get them since the extent of my childhood Bionicling was accidentally burning our Lewa by leaving it on my lamp for too long, but they're still pretty funny

The whole idea of robots living in a tribal island society, worshipping gods, and learning magic was incredibly cool and bizarre. I sold all my toys a while ago but the setting and general aesthetic remains one of the most memorable ones I have ever come across.
