Tauros has a niche in RU as a strong wallbreaker because of its great Speed and Attack stats combined with its all-around perfect coverage and ability in Sheer Force. However, Tauros lacks the raw strength of other wallbreakers such as Mienshao, Heracross, and Obstagoon, and its low special bulk leaves it vulnerable to common special attackers like Noivern and Raikou. Close Combat hits targets that resist Tauros's powerful STAB Body Slam such as Cobalion, Registeel, and Stakataka. Rock Slide enables Tauros to catch Flying-types such as Togekiss, Noivern, and Talonflame while hitting Pokemon like Golisopod super effectively. Throat Chop hits Pokemon that are immune to Body Slam, such as Dhelmise, Golurk, and Doublade. Tauros has the option to run Earthquake to 2HKO Diancie and Neutralizing Gas Galarian Weezing, but it has no other notable targets that aren't already covered.

Like most wallbreakers, Tauros appreciates Spikes support from Roserade and Golisopod to limit its checks from switching in such as Cobalion and Milotic; Golisopod can also remove key items such as Leftovers, Heavy-Duty Boots, and Choice Scarf from Gastrodon, Togekiss, and Mienshao. Potent Fighting-types such as Choice Scarf Heracross and Mienshao pose as fierce revenge killers, so teammates such as Noivern and Togekiss are helpful. Additionally, Choice Scarf Xurkitree, Noivern, and Raikou can all force Tauros out, so special walls such as Assault Vest Reuniclus, Steelix, and Registeel are always helpful. Pivots such as Raikou, Noivern, and Zarude also serve as good teammates, as they provide free switches for Tauros. Raikou can also pressure bulky Water-types and cripple Tauros's switch-ins such as Gastrodon and Tangela with Toxic. In return, Tauros is able to weaken Grass- and Ground-types such as Vileplume, Seismitoad, and Steelix with Body Slam and Close Combat for Raikou.

Tauros has a niche in RU as a strong wallbreaker in RU because of its great Speed and Attack stats, compelled with its all-around perfect coverage, and its ability, Sheer Force. However, Tauros faces competition from lacks the raw strength of other wallbreakers such as Mienshao, Heracross, and Obstagoon, and its low special bulk leaves it vulnerable to the ever-so-common Noivern and Raikou as it has higher overall defensive stats while having secondary STAB moves. (Tauros doesn't just suffer competition from Obstagoon.) Close Combat hits targets that resist Tauros's powerful STAB move such as Cobalion, Registeel, and Stakataka. Rock Slide enables Tauros to catch Flying-types switch-ins (Idt any of them would ever willingly switch into Tauros.) such as Togekiss, Noivern, and Talonflame while hitting Pokemon like Golisopod super effectively. Throat Chop hits Pokemon that are immune to Tauros's normal STAB move, such as Dhelmise, Golurk, and Alola Marowak Doublade (You already hit Wak with Rock Slide.), as it also invalidates Toxtricity and Sylveon from using sounds moves (Throat Chop is Sheer Force boosted so it actually doesn't affect sound moves). Tauros has the option to run Earthquake which 2HKOes Diancie and OHKO's Chandelure, Toxtricity, and Darmanitan, while also hitting (You don't need EQ for any of them. Throat Chop OHKOes Chandelure (EQ is actually a roll to KO), Body Slam KOes Tox after SR, and Rock Slide KOes Darm.) Neutralizing Gas Galarian Weezing super effectively, but has no other notable targets that aren't already covered.

Due to the role compression Tauros provides as a wallbreaker, it can fit on both balance and bulky offensive teams. (Role compression is when a mon can fill multiple roles in one slot like Flygon can be Scarfer, elec and ground immune, pivot, and defogger in one. Tauros is just a wallbreaker.) Just like any other wallbreaker, Tauros appreciates Spikes support from Roserade and Golisopod so it can limit its checks from switching in such as Cobalion and Milotic, as such Golisopod can also remove key items such as Leftovers, Heavy-Duty Boots, and Choice Scarf. Potent Fighting-types such as Choice Scarf Heracross and Scarf Mienshao pose as fierce revenge killers, so teammates such as Noivern and Togekiss are helpful. Revenge killers such as Choice Scarf Xurkitree, Indeedee Noivern, and Gardevoir Raikou can all force Tauros out, so special walls such as Assault Vest Reuniclus, Steelix, Stakataka, and Registeel are always helpful. Pivots such as Raikou, Noivern Porygon2 (Idt you'll ever Normal spam with P2 and Tauros.), and Zarude also serve as good teammates, as they provide free switches for Tauros. Raikou can also pressure bulky Water-types and throw off Toxic's crippling Tauros's switch-ins such as Gastrodon and Tangela and Pyukumuku. In return, Tauros is able to weaken Grass- and Ground-types such as Vileplume, Seismitoad Roserade (No Rose will ever stay in on Tauros.), and Steelix with Body Slam and Close Combat for Raikou.
