* Politoed is the strongest rain setter in the metagame thanks to its amazing supporting movepool and survivability. Politoed is usually seen alongside Kingdra, forming a solid rain core able to threaten even the strongest staples of the metagame such as Dragapult, Glastrier, and Coalossal.

* Scald is capable of hitting metagame staples like Incineroar, Torkoal, and Landorus-T for good damage thanks to its power boost in rain. Scald can also cripple opposing physical attackers like Urshifu-S, Rillaboom, and Glastier with burns. Muddy Water is an option to ignore opposing redirection and spread accuracy drops, but its lower accuracy can be troublesome.

* Helping Hand gives a boost to Politoed's teammates when attacking. In particular, it helps Kingdra deal with sun teams, allowing it to OHKO Torkoal and Assault Vest Landorus-T in sun with Max Geyser.

* Perish Song can serve as a strong win condition late-game, as it can force wins on weakened teams that have only two members remaining. However the rain is not its only application, because Politoed can work as an awesome Perish Song user in team featuring Gothitelle. (Gothitelle is not a common partner for Politoed anymore from my knowledge. I'd likely drop it and just mention it in the Perish Song point exclusively)

(I would much prefer something saying how Perish Song is capable of forcing wins when at a Pokemon advantage. Then mention it's potency with trapping i.e. Gothitelle and how that can punish passive leads) Icy Wind can be used alternatively to slow down opponents and gain momentum for the team. (I would like something here to kinda ground this point within the metagame, so what can it slow down in particular?)

* Sitrus Berry is a consistent source of healing that extends Politoed's survivability even more. Wacan bBerry can be used to endure an Regieleki's Thunderbolt or Thundurus's Max Lighting but Sitrus Berry is usually preferred as it is more consistent. (Unsure about this as wording, but it's up to you)
