This one's pretty simple. SD Gliscor struggles with Latis, Slowtwins, and fast stuff and Weavile traps and eliminates all of them. In turn, Gliscor switches into, sets up on, and can eliminate the bulky shit like Scizor, Tran, Pex, T-tar, Drill, and Ferro that can take hits from and threaten Weavile. And together they do extremely well to pressure their common "checks" in Corv and Tapu Fini. Also Weavile provides some extremely nice speed control for Glisc vs stuff like Mega Chomp and Rillaboom.

Z Solar Beam Heatran can be a nice partner to SD Gliscor as it can kill most of its checks and counters with Magma Storm. I chose Grassium because it can nuke bulky waters such as Tapu Fini so that Gliscor can clean easier. It also beats most ice types that Gliscor cant handle such as weavile, and checks most flying types. In return, Gliscor gives a ground resist for heatran, and can check most threats to it such as Garchomp.

Scizor-Mega serves as a pretty synergistic partner for Gliscor, as it can switch into various Ice-type moves from common offenders ( :kyurem: , :weavile: ) to even not-so-common offenders ( :latias-mega: , :slowbro: , :clefable: ) and force them out while also being able to Roost off the chip it receives. Additionally, it can also check a few troublesome Grass-types that would otherwise force Gliscor out ( :tangrowth: , :rillaboom: , to a small extent :tapu-bulu: ). In return, Gliscor is one of the apex predators to some of the common threats to Scizor-Mega ( :toxapex: , :magnezone: , non-HP Ice :zapdos:, to a small extent :victini: , and especially :heatran: ) that the latter can pivot into.

This core is obviously not invincible as it would be quite weak to offensive Water-types like :greninja-ash: as well as bulky Steel-types like :corviknight: , but they complement each other very well nevertheless in covering some of their weaknesses mutually. Gliscor would be able to soften and deal significant chip to several walls in the match for Scizor-Mega to go ahead to set-up anf sweep the opposing tream.

Life Orb Clefable is an amazing partner for Swords Dance Gliscor. Clef helps out the bat by pressuring nearly all of its main checks with a Life Orb-boosted fairy or fire move: Corviknight, Skarmory, Tangrowth, Mega Scizor, Rillaboom, Weavile, Tapu Bulu, Kyurem, Ice Punch Mega Medi and Kartana all get deleted. SD Gliscor only adds to this wallbreaking prowess by taking care of the few switch-ins to this Clefable set, namely Heatran and Haze Toxapex. Even powerful wallbreakers that would usually look to take advantage of a core like this, such as Mega Mawile or Melmetal, struggle to safely switch into offensive Clefable and Gliscor, especially when boosted.

Powerful wallbreakers like Specs Kyurem and Specs Tapu Lele can overwhelm this pair, so walls like bulky Mega Sciz, SpDef Corviknight and Jirachi make for great teammates. Certain powerful Psychic-types like Mega Latias, Victini and the aforementioned Lele can also threaten the duo, so Pursuit support from the likes of Weavile or Tyranitar is also appreciated. :Weavile: in particular contributes speed that Clef and Gliscor lack, which can help in revenge killing certain foes and cleaning up late game.

If there’s two things SD Gliscor doesn’t like, its Corviknight and Skarmory. It also doesn’t appreciate Ferrothorn, bulky Kartana, and Mega Scizor. The great news is that Magnezone traps all of these targets, and the Steels that Magnezone can’t trap (Heatran and Mega Mawile) are handled well by Gliscor. Gliscor also uses defensive Ground-types that Magnezone falters to as setup fodder.

Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 76 Def / 180 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Scald
- Future Sight
- Slack Off

Slowking is a great pokemon for pivoting in powerful breakers safely, as well as having a hard-hitting future sight which can be key to whether your Pokemon gets a KO or not.

The submission deadline is June 10th at 10 pm gmt-4

EVs: 248 HP / 56 Def / 204 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb/Clear Smog
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Spore

Amoonguss forms a superb, very splashable defensive core with Slowking, helping to take on the strong Grass, Electric, and Fairy Pokemon like Kartana, CM Fini, Tapu Koko, Serperior, Tangrowth, Ferrothorn, Rillaboom, and others that Slowking finds itself threatened by. In turn, Slowking can take on the strong Fire, Psychic, and Ice types that can beat Amoonguss like Heatran, Medicham-Mega, and Tapu Lele. In addition, thanks to their combined bulk on both ends of thr spectrum, they can serve as solid checks to the likes of Mega Lopunny and even Zard Y though that is shaky. Amoong also serves as a backup water resist so that pivoting around the likes of Ash Greninja isn't as punishing.

In addition, thanks to Regenerator, each of them can pivot into the other's checks with relative impunity, and thanks to Spore, Amoong can punish the switches it forces, easing up the offensive pressure on both itself and King. Not only that, but if one opts for Clear Smog Amoong can neutralize threats that would otherwise demolish Slowking like CM Fini and DD Mega Gyarados.

That being said the core is rather Zapdos, Zard-Y and Ash Gren weak so something that can cover those pairs well with it, such as a defensive Kommo-o

Lopunny is an incredible partner for Slowking, as it forms a potent VoltTurn core together with it, and benefits greatly from the offensive pressure future sight provides, and luring in Pursuit trappers such as Tyranitar and its mega form, and Weavile, who get forced back out by Lopunny. Lopunny also benefits as a way to revenge and presure faster mons such as the aforementioned Weavile, Ash Greninja and Tapu Koko.

Skarmory makes for a decent teammate to Slowking, as its Spikes pair beautifully with King's Future Sight to really pressure the opposing team. Furthermore, Skarmory makes up for the fact that Slowking is a bulky water that can't really handle offensive grounds, and Mega Lopunny in the case of the Slowking spread listed, while Slowking makes up for the fact that Skarmory is a bulky steel that can't check most of the various Psychics and Fairies of the tier like Tapu Lele and Clefable. There's also typing synergy, with Skarm handling the grasses that Slowking hates while King handles certain Fire-types like Heatran. Of course, Skarm + King isn't perfect as Serperior, Ash Greninja, offensive electrics, and Fire-types that King can't check (Zard-Y or Volcarona for example) can blow past them, making teammates like Defensive Kommo-o, Rockium Garchomp, and Amoonguss great options for teammates.

Lando provides two very important things for Rillaboom. The second is the ability to bait in and rip through Flying-types, most notably Zapdos, with a nuclear Explosion. Once Landorus-T has done things, there’s very little that halts a Rillaboom sweep.

Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature / Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Quiver Dance
- Flamethrower
- Bug Buzz
- Psychic

Given that SD Rillaboom fits primarily on Hyper Offense teams, it's only fitting that it finds a good partner in another HO pick in Volcarona. QD Volcarona does an excellent job of pressuring, setting up on, and eliminating the bulky Steels and Grasses such as Ferrothorn, Corviknight, Kartana Skarmory, Mega Scizor, Amoonguss, Tangrowth, and Mega Venusaur that can halt the grassy gorilla in its tracks. In exchange, Rillaboom serves to eliminate the few things that can stop this Volcarona set such as Chansey/Blissey, Garchomp, and Heatran, as well as providing an excellent option to revenge Volc revengers like Ash Gren, Medicham-Mega, and Lop-Mega

In addition, Rillaboom's Grassy Terrain gives Volcarona not only passive recovery, but also an excellent, albeit temporary stopgap vs dangerous Ground types.

In terms of the set, Modest is chosen here because both SD Rilla and offensive Volcarona tend to fit excellently on Screens HO which, thanks to its ability to further bolster their bulk, gives Volc more chances to set up, so the speed loss isn't too terrible and Modest gives a more immediate, threatening power boost. Timid should be used off of Screens however. As for the last move, Psychic is used to pressure both Toxapex and Kommo-o, the latter of which otherwise serves as an excellent check to both of them.

Mega Mawile is an amazing partner to Hydreigon, as it pressures slow defensive cores and forces out special walls such as Blissey, Chansey and Kommo O out for Hydreigon to wallbreak, and Hydreigon pressures mons such as Heatran, and checks it defensively too, and together they form a potent darkspam core.

Mega Lopunny is a great teammate for Hydreigon, as it appreciates it breaking through the bulky Psychics and such that wall Lop. In return Lop not only breaks through the specially defensive pivots that can take on Drei (Fini, Blobs, etc.), but also pivots and brings Drei in on the likes of walls like Reuniclus and Toxapex that allow it free turns to setup Nasty Plot.
