evs: 252 HP / 180 Def / 76 SpD
[SET COMMENTS]
Pyukumuku is a decent pick on stall teams, as Unaware allows it to check setup sweepers such as Manaphy, Mega Garchomp, and Volcarona, and its Water typing lets it pivot into the likes of Ash-Greninja, Melmetal, and Mega Scizor. However, due to it only having status moves, it's an incredibly passive Pokemon that can be easy to play around. Block and Spite allow Pyukumuku to effectively trap and PP stall a lot of Pokemon that cannot outright 2HKO it. Recover is its primary recovery move, but Rest curing status lets it trap and beat the likes of Blissey, Toxapex, and Gliscor. The sleep turns from Rest also stop Pyukumuku from wasting its precious PP, helping it out stall opposing Pokemon. The given EV spread lets it survive two Energy Balls from Manaphy while remaining as physically bulky as possible.
Pyukumuku is excellent at punishing small mistakes, such as setting up a Substitute with the likes of Hawlucha and Corviknight or trying to status it with Toxapex or Gastrodon, which let it remove these Pokemon from the match. Due to Pyukumuku's passive nature, it tends to be put on stall teams with teammates such as Toxapex, Mega Sableye, and Clefable that defensively answer Pokemon that tend to overwhelm it. The latter two also keep the field clear of entry hazards and cure it of status conditions, respectively. Taunt users such as Heatran and Tapu Fini completely ruin Pyukumuku, so it needs teammates that are able to hande them, such as Gastrodon and Toxapex. These Pokemon, as well as many other common stall teammates for Pyukumuku, also appreciate it trapping and PP stalling the likes of Gliscor, Clefable, and non-Stored Power variants of Reuniclus. Flying-types such as Corviknight, Zapdos, and Skarmory are stellar to switch into Grass-types such as Kartana, Rillaboom, and Serperior, which bother Pyukumuku. Ground-types such as Gastrodon and Hippowdon are similarly able to handle Electric-types such as Magnezone and Tapu Koko that bother Pyukumuku.

Other Options
=============
Running Soak in tandem with Toxic allows Pyukumuku to chip down the likes of Toxapex, Heatran, and Mega Scizor, as well as spreading status through the opposing team. Unfortunately, not having Spite and Rest means it can't beat opposing Toxic users and Pokemon with Pressure such as Suicune and Corviknight. Gastro Acid and Toxic may seem appealing to beat Toxic-immune setup sweepers such as Clefable, Gliscor, and Reuniclus, but aside from Stored Power Reuniclus, the Spite set already handles these Pokemon better. Running Mirror Coat and Counter allows Pyukumuku to more directly punish attackers reduces its passivity. However, this set is prone to status and being worn down long-term.
Checks and Counters
===================
**Taunt**: Taunt variants of Heatran and Tapu Fini entirely shut down Pyukumuku, as it runs only status moves.
**Electric-types**: Electric-types such as Tapu Koko, Zeraora, and Magnezone are able to overwhelm Pyukumuku with their powerful STAB attacks.
**Grass-types**: Grass-types such as Serperior, Kartana, and Rillaboom are able to overwhelm Pyukumuku with their powerful STAB attacks.
**Powerful Wallbreakers**: Powerful wallbreakers like Mega Mawile, Mega Medicham, and Hoopa-U threaten to KO Pyukumuku due to their insane wallbreaking power.
