You were definitlry different, smugger than usual and idt as obvtown as you were in the past. That being said hard to say since I already knew you alignment obviously.

I feel like right now you are giving off an aura of you feel I'm obviously town, but want hal to convince you into it.

imo this makes sense, as this time there's no angleshoot for him to go off of, but i'm still unsure of him being town as his initial "argument" seems doesn't actual seem like a sr but more like friendly banter, and them he suddenly pulls out "i scumread him"

I don't think it's a good look still but since I could see you doing it as town in some world's (albeit not play I agree with) I'll just stare at you awkardlt and see how you develop

This post in particular is really strange to me as duskfall gave a really logical explanation a few posts before abt how the modspew post actually cleared him, and iirc someone else did this as well. If it was really a heat-of-the-moment gambit then it could've easily backfired (imo the costs heavily outweigh the benefits if it was a scum gambit).
 
Thoughts on hal:

Part of me says hal doesn't actually try push me knowing I'm town, if he is mafia because it's too hard a push, but also it can be very high risk high reward if he thinks getting me out of the way let's him powerwolf the rest of the playerlist? That being said idk if hal rates my town game that much. So I think probably it's not worth the effort for wolf hal to try push town Tommy, especially since I'm probably the most likely person in the game (from his pov) to be able to flip the vote onto him.

But also I know it's a tactic I've used before as mafia to hard push the towniest player, because they never flip since you can't get them over the line but also everyone thinks mafia wouldn't be brave enough so you get relegated to bad town.

I know hal likes to powerwolf every time he's mafia essentially, and I also am aware that town or mafia hal will probably get at least some voted over the line.

To me hal has a very good ability to read the game and I'm not going to sheep him but if he can predict flips well then that's probably town and if we reach lylo and Hal's been consistently wrong he's probably mafia. This isn't me pre emptively trying to get hal voted at the end of the game btw, just if hal is alive at endgame with incorrect reads consistently having never found mafia it's probably not town hal. I will let him off with his misread on me because I'm one of two players he usually gets wrong and I'm going to see how he does with the rest of the game. Hoepfully he doesn't tunnel me so hard he can't get anything else out at least!
 
eh found m2h a fair bit scummy prior but i was scouring mafia 451 games for past records and early day seems decently consistent thought wise, wrt how they play as town (specific. mountainous9 with like eli and tommy in it), so i can't really fault the thoughts of tinfoil i felt were unnatural as a way to approach the game , felt like taking away cred from someone cleared town but it's much more fine

i think this sites ui fucks with my motivation quite a bit cause multiquoting takes too much effort to be worth it

dislike hal's single mindedness over interpretation but everything that followed was more or less fine, the cog. dissonance part is something that felt natural while reading there and i don't think it's like a veiled thought process? has nothing more to it than what's in thread
but like calling the advice anti-town didn't sit well w/me because it plays into the exact arche of "trying to seem bad" because at that point it just feels like refuting any point from tommy rather than

otoh hal's posts feel uninteractable and i don't know what i need clarified that helps solve the slot, kind of blurry that way

#157 fucks with #184 logically quite a bit; otherwise i don't find any meaningful essence from tommy's posts to analyze
with random segue from talking normally to giving advice about how hal can be a powerwolf / telling newbies how to play breaking thread flow for little reason
