NOC Wikimafia, The Free Online Mafia [TOWN+BROIL WIN]

This is a super interesting game for me to play with M2H but I feel like it’s worth reminding that my reads aren’t as strong or as accurate as I’d like them to be. Would love help solving. I linked the game because I was reading it and found something I found funny. I think that game is nice to remind myself how town Tommy and scum celever play. I have no idea what celever thought I was angleshooting at
 
In this playerbase, the group of people who I think would have reads on each other are tbz litt clouds and schia and maybe drookez gets thrown in also. So it’s weird to me that tbz is voting Litt is voting Shia.

Watch The Princess Bride & it'll all be clear (great film & would watch another six times). It's the whole thought of would x player make the most optimal yet predictable choice vs. suboptimal choice to psych opponent out, which then leads to a recursive loop of "they'd think I'd do this so I should do this, but then..."

Back from classes and stuff and will sift through everything soon, thanks for only adding another 6 pages or so. Nice change of pace from last time around

I don't want to hyperfocus on the Tommy/hal squabble, and I don't know Tommy's mafia history well enough to know if he'd keep a spew like that close to the vest until it mattered later for "game integrity" or whatever. From a glance I like Celever's post, especially this bit:

since it has shades of how he played last game. I also think he's the type to make some forthright "rng landed me town again" post at the start of the thread as town but not as scum. More of a tone thing if anything as opposed to an actual read on a near baseless piece of evidence, just stating I'm townleaning Cel after reading the posts of his I've read so far

This is personality reads and I know Tommy a bit but not enough to hardline based on this. I think the second bullet point is more important and is why I certainly scumlean Tommy atm.

Where Hal doesn't make sense is:
  • Tommy focussing on defending himself is scummy. Nothing else had happened besides the mk and succeeding push on Tommy by Hal.
  • Tommy not providing reads on a wider range of players. See above point.
This can betray that Hal was casing Tommy under the pretense that Tommy is scum as opposed to trying to solve. This is somewhat NAI on Hal's part, though.

I'm p sure I townread Hal and Litt, but I also feel like Litt is trying to get towncred via appeal to authority because his posts feel like they're coming from the top of the mafia information hierarchy. It's not particularly accessible to the newer players in this game and it's easy for them to have the following syllogism:
  • I don't really understand Litt's posts
  • Litt's thoughts and analysis on the gamestate are really complex
  • Litt is putting a lot of effort into trying to solve the game
  • Solving the game is towny, so Litt is town
I think I townread Litt outside of this, but I want to point out that that line of argument isn't valid.

OM posting but remaining Switzerland on Hal vs Tommy is weird to me.

M2H feels super NAI my brain just is not coming up with a read on them at all.

Schiavato or whatever's spam feels performative.

I scumlean Hydro at the moment. People are saying his play is consistent with last game's, but Hydro has read every post in the last game (he liked all of them) and I think people are disregarding that fact. Psy in this game has a marked improvement from his performance last time either because he's coached this time or because he's reflected on last game and learned from it. I think it's the latter. Hydro's unwillingness to do that gives me the impression his objective this game is to appear town, not to be good town.

Everyone else feels neutral atm but Broil you seem cool.
