As everyone knows, Blissey is our favorite THICC 'mon in BDSP OU for eating up special hits, so I think that it would be an amazing counter to Latios. Seeing the set, you may twist your head at the offensive moves I've given Blissey, but they will all make sense in a second. Your first offensive move, Ice Beam, is to counter Latios, as you'll be soaking up all of its hits: 252 SpA Blissey Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Latios: 126-150 (41.8 - 49.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO. But if it starts to Calm Mind, you always have Seismic Toss there for some fixed damage. Ice Beam can also check Gliscor which might use you for set-up fodder with Swords Dance or set up some Stealth Rocks-either way it gets OHKO'd if it's offensive, but if it's specially defensive it's at least two shot-and you'll be eating up its Earthquakes: 0 Atk Gliscor Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 252+ Def Blissey: 187-222 (28.7 - 34.1%) -- 1.8% chance to 3HKO, 252 SpA Blissey Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Gliscor: 236-280 (66.6 - 79%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Poison Heal. Ice Beam also allows you to snipe 'mons like Garchomp on the switch-in to surprise your opponent. Your other offensive move, Flamethrower, allows you to snipe Scizor on the switch-in or to take it out if it uses you as set-up fodder as well: 252 SpA Blissey Flamethrower vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Scizor: 328-388 (116.7 - 138%) -- guaranteed OHKO. If it's specially defensive Scizor it gets 2HKO'd: 252 SpA Blissey Flamethrower vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Scizor: 228-272 (66.4 - 79.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO. And If it's SpDef Scizor it won't have the power to take you out with, at best, 8 investment in Atk. Flamethrower also allows you to check the other Steel types in the tier: Skarmory, which is two-shot, Magnezone, which you'll be eating up hits from, and Lucario to snipe, or tank if it's special, and Jirachi which is usually bulky. Other 'mons this combination of moves hit is: Tangrowth, Breloom, Donphan, Weavile, Dragonite, and Salamence. And we have Soft-Boiled for longevity. Having the ability to be able to counter/snipe many 'mons in the tier, whether they be annoying or common makes me believe that offensive Blissey is a niche pick for a team, but, with the variety of 'mons it can hit, it'll always accomplish something for it's team, whether it be taking out an offensive 'mon, so your team can eat up hits better, or knocking out a defensive one, so your sweepers can go crazy, either way-it can pave the way to your success.
