Stats: 60 HP / 125 Atk / 110 Def / 100 SpA / 60 SpD / 50 Spe / 505 BST
Weight: 20.5 kg
Movepool: Parasect-Ancient's movepool + Bind, Burning Jealousy, Focus Blast, Megahorn, Poison Jab, Power Whip, Psychic, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Wrap
“Although tochukaso had not appeared in ancient times, ancient Paras and Parasect are not free of parasites. Prehistoric worms control ancient Paras and Parasect from within, intentionally exposing them to the elements. When ancient Parasect is sufficiently disturbed, the worms will burst outward from their host, what the next stage in the worms’ lifecycle entails is not certain.”

So this Paras line is infested with parasitic worms, inspired by horsehair worms (don’t look up if squeamish), chestbursters from the Alien movies, and this toy from an obscure 90’s Japanese toy line called Gegebomajuu. Paras and Parasect would look the same just without the mushrooms and prolly a different color palette, while Parasidious would have a bloated abdomen with colorful worms wriggling out of it.

505 BST is to match Honchkrow, which evolves from a mon with 405 BST.

Typing:

Stats: 100 HP / 120 Atk / 90 Def / 75 SpA / 85 SpD / 65 Spe / 535 BST
Weight: 150.2 kg
Movepool: Girafarig-Ancient's movepool + Brick Break, Brutal Swing, Bulk Up, Crush Claw, Fire Punch, Hammer Arm, Ice Hammer, Ice Punch, Night Slash, Slash
“This giant is anatomically quite different from Girafarig, adopting a bipedal stance and is armed with wicked claws. Oligosogilo uses these claws to strip the leaves and bark off of trees to eat, and those same claws make for effective weapons. While its tail may not be smarter, its much more prehensile, tearing apart anything that dares to approach from behind.”

Oligosogilo is based on Chalicotherium, an extinct genus of ungulates that can be best summarized as a horse-sloth-gorilla hybrid. Could maybe also be part quagga with its patterning. The name is derived from Oligocene, a prehstorich epoch. I dunno what the tail would be based on tho lol.

535 BST is to match Crobat, which evolves from a mon with 455 BST.

Matriaryena
Typing:

Abilities: Intimidate / Quick Feet | Pressure
Stats: 85 HP / 110 Atk / 85 Def / 65 SpA / 65 SpD / 110 Spe / 520 BST
Weight: 49 kg
Movepool: Mightyena-Ancient's movepool + Bone Rush, Earthquake, Jaw Lock, Superpower, Throat Chop, Psychic Fangs
“Female ancient Mightyena are larger and stronger than the males, with the very strongest evolving into Matriaryena. This pack hunter is able to eat just about every part of their prey. With its large fangs and powerful jaws, it can bite through even Mamoswine bones. Matriaryena and their pack mates will often let out a few cackles when cornering their prey.”

Matriaryena is based on Pachycrocuta brevirostris, sometimes known as the giant short-faced hyena, which was the largest hyena of all time. The mon’s name is derived from matriarch and it being female only is based on today’s spotted hyena social structures, where the females are the dominant ones in their clan.

520 BST is to match Obstagoon.

:ss/Girafarig:
New Form: Girafarig-Ancient
Typing: Normal/Flying
Abilities: Inner Focus / Analytic / Sap Sipper
Stats: 70 / 65 / 85 / 90 / 80 / 65 {BST: 455}
Movepool:
  • + U-turn, Air Slash, Moonlight, Earth Power, Gust, Aerial Ace, Acrobatics, Defog
  • - All Psychic-type moves except Agility and Calm Mind
Description: yeah

Flavor: Similar to a regular Girafarig, but it can fly, allowing it to avoid grounded predators and such.

“It uses its long neck to eat plants from above. However, it is slow and doing this often leaves it vulnerable to flying predators.”

Evolution Name: Girafaraf (Giraffe + Wrath)
Typing: Dark/Flying
Abilities: Mold Breaker / Analytic / Sap Sipper
Stats: 70 / 65 / 95 / 110 / 80 / 105 {BST: 525}
Movepool:
  • + Girafarig-Ancient moves, Knock Off, Dark Pulse, Foul Play, Taunt, Nasty Plot, Hurricane, Hypnosis
  • - Girafarig-Ancient moves
Description: Versatile special attacker. Can go offensive with setup or for more defensive sets with Wish, Defog, Moonlight and U-Turn.

Flavor: Herbivore becoming more of a carnivore. The “tail” portion becomes the front of the Pokemon. Kind of a spin on a normal flying predator, as it waits for prey instead of looking for it.

“Its head acts as its tail. It tricks predators into attacking it, as they believe it to be its old defenseless self, only to hypnotize them and eat them instead.”

:ss/Poochyena: :ss/Mightyena: 1659840696781.png
New Form: Poochyena-Ancient
Typing: Normal
Abilities: Intimidate / Own Tempo / Rattled
Stats: 40 / 55 / 35 / 25 / 25 / 40
Movepool:
  • + Body Slam
  • - Foul Play, Thief, Torment, Payback
Description: dog

Flavor: Domestication is something that has existed ever since ancient times. This line is somewhat based on that, turning an animal people once feared into something that they used for their own gain.

“This Poochyena comes from a distant past, often taken from their packs and raised for the purpose of hunting. It is often said to be one of the first Pokemon ever tamed in the wild.”

New Form: Mightyena-Ancient
Typing: Normal
Abilities: Initmidate / Own Tempo / Moxie
Stats: 80 / 90 / 70 / 50 / 50 / 80 {BST: 420}
Movepool:
  • + Poochyena-Ancient moves
  • - Poochyena-Ancient moves

Flavor: One Mightyena dex description reads, “It will always obey the commands of a skilled Trainer. Its behavior arises from its living in packs in ancient times”, as such it’s a pack hunter here, domesticated or not, it and its pack work together to get food. This one doesn’t really have the immediately threatening nature of base Mightyena, however, as that came as time passed.

“These Pokemon always prefer to work in packs. They are very loyal, often bringing back anything they hunt to their trainer or den before they allow themselves to eat it.”

New Pokemon: Frenzyena
Typing: Normal/Fighting
Abilities: Intimidate / Own Tempo / Moxie
Stats: 90 / 105 / 85 / 60 / 60 / 100 {BST: 500}
Movepool:
  • + Mightyena-Ancient Moves, Close Combat, Low Kick, Focus Blast, Swords Dance, Quick Attack
  • - Mightyena-Ancient Moves
Role: Speed control with Scrappy or Moxie sweeper.

Flavor: It fully gives into its primal instincts, domesticated or not, which makes it feel more alive and independent than it had ever been when domesticated, however this makes it extremely difficult to deal with for trainers, and if they are not retrained shortly after evolving, they may begin to attack anything around them, becoming fully feral.

“Prolific hunting Mightyena are able to obtain this evolution. Living only for the joy of the hunt, they often become less reliable and disobey orders.”

New Form: Girafarig-Ancient
Typing: Normal/Dark
Abilities: Oblivious | Long Reach | Mold Breaker

Description: en ef e
Flavor: "It's long tail is used to swing and bite predators trying to attack Girafarig. It'll "bark" to notify the Pokémon if there is danger nearby."
Basically imagine Girafarig with shorter neck and longer tail.

Evolution Name: Samomas
Typing: Normal/Dark
Abilities: Flaming Tail | Long Reach | Mold Breaker
*Flaming Tail : This Pokémon's Fire power is doubled and Fire moves against it are halved. Cannot be burnt.
Stats: 95 HP / 100 Atk / 95 Def / 95 SpA / 85 SpD / 75 Spe / 545 BST
Added Moves: Girafarig-Ancient movepool, Darkest Lariat, Glare, Iron Tail, Fire Lash, Flamethrower, Will-O-Wisp, Mystical Fire
Description: Jaw lock and Pursuit trapper who can set up with Swords Dance. Or can go for Nasty Plot sets. Can also spread paralysis with Glare or burns with WoW.
Flavor: "Its large tail literally flares up when in battle, possibly due to the adrenaline of a fight. It's also useful to guide Samomas through the night."
Based on the Samotherium except the process was just "a flaming tail sounds cool as hell".

:sm/paras: :sm/parasect:
Paras stays the same. But learns Spark (as a way to evolve into Parasect-Ancient).

New Form: Parasect-Ancient
Typing: Bug/Electric
Abilities: Damp | Effect Spore | Volt Absorb
Stats: 60 HP / 95 Atk / 80 Def / 60 SpA / 80 SpD / 30 Spe (405 BST)
Added Moves: Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave, Thunder, Spark, Charge
Removed Moves: Brick Break, Counter, Sludge Bomb, Metal Claw, Psybeam, Cross Poison, Venoshock
Description: en eff ee
Flavor: "The tochukaso has taken over the host's body completely. Electric charges course through its body to keep it moving."
Parasect but the mushroom has a yellowish color and sparks fly around it. God this Pokémon is insanely creepy and cool.

Evolution Name: Chargasect
Typing: Bug/Electric
Abilities: Damp | Effect Spore | Volt Absorb
Stats: 95 HP / 95 Atk / 110 Def / 60 SpA / 110 SpD / 35 Spe (505 BST)
Added Moves: Parasect-Ancient's movepool, Nuzzle, Zing-Zap, Eerie Impulse, U-Turn, Volt Switch, Volt Tackle
Description: Bulky status spreader that can heal from incoming Electric attacks or Synthesis. Original Parasect always had a pretty good support movepool, just a trash typing. It can also be a setup sweeper with Swords Dance if you want that.
Flavor: "By the large mushrooms' orders, it drains the nutrients of other Pokémon and plants alike. Charging it's body continuously with energy. Swarms of Chargasect can be seen in stormy places."
A monstrous, larger cicada nymph with the mushroom now divided into many of different sizes. Can you tell what's my new favourite Pokémon now.

Smaller and more lithe in appearance, with its fur having a purple tint to it, and the yellows of its eyes now being a deep purple.

Mightyena - Ancient
Typing
:

Abilities: Tar Treader (If Tar Terrain is active then this Pokemon's speed is 1.5x.)/Quick Feet/Poison Point
Stats: HP 60 / Atk 95 / Def 50 / SpA 95 / SpD 50 / Spe 80 / BST 420
New Moves: Knock Off, Beat Up, Parting Shot, Poison Jab, Poison Tail, Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave, Venoshock, Sludge, Gastro Acid, Corrosive Gas, Belch, Toxic.
Removed Moves: Sunny Day, Shadow Ball, Iron Tail, Thunder Fang, Fire Fang, Ice Fang, Sand Attack, Mud Slap.
Role: Eviolite Sweeper
Is overall more spindly and lanky, with it having thinner fur and its paws being better adjusted to effectively swim through and into tar pits so it can pick out the bodies of its prey it's chased into the tar pits the pack resides by.

Sludgyena
Typing
:

Abilities: Tar Treader (If Tar Terrain is active then this Pokemon's speed is 1.5x.)/Quick Feet/Poison Point
Stats: HP 80 / Atk 110 / Def 65 / SpA 110 / SpD 65 / Spe 90 / BST 520
Movepool: Mightyena-Ancient Movepool + Gunkshot, Throat Chop, Memento, Perish Song, Muddy Water, Tar Pit.
Role: Mixed Sweeper + Terrain Abuser
"Due to the environment these Mightyena lived in, the hunters who are stronger and more proficcient in the tar pits would evolve, becoming all the more effective of hunters, with them now being able to effortlessly swim through the tar pits they typically chase their prey into."

Sludgyena are far bigger than the Mightyena, with sludge constantly dripping from its mouth and it now having webbed paws. Additionally its eyes are now a single shade of purple which seemingly glows in the dark. It's secondary color has now also become a pure purple color, with it's fur taking on a more a now stronger bluish-purple tint. Furthermore Sludgyena are far ganglier than Mightyena for a lack of better terms, and it has long legs which allow them to move at high speeds and more efficiently use their energy.

:girafarig:
Girafarig - Ancient
Typing
:

Abilities: Soundproof/Insomnia/Sap Sipper
Stats: HP 70 / Atk 95 / Def 75 / SpA 65 / SpD 55 / Spe 95 / BST 455
New Moves: None.
Removed Moves: All Psychic-type moves (with the exception of Calm Mind, Agility, Rest, and Amnesia), Dazzling Gleam, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Charge Beam, Shadow Ball, Energy Ball.
Role: Eviolite
Their color palette is now more so reminescent of a gazelle, they still have their tail-head, but it's more independant, oddly enough, having a bigger brain, and also sporting a noticable underbite. It lacks the spikes which its modern counterparts have running along their backs. Its horns are additionally now more pointed, and its muzzle thins out more.

Skeleleks
Typing
:

Abilities: Soundproof/Insomnia/Marrow Muncher (If this Pokemon is hit by a Ground-type move then its defense is raised by 1; Ground Immunity.)
Stats: HP 95 / Atk 135 / Def 50 / SpA 90 / SpD 80 / Spe 65 / BST 525
Movepool: Girafarig-Ancient Movepool + Curse, Destiny Bond, Hex, Poltergeist, Shadow Bone, Spirit Shackle, Shadow Ball, Spite, Bonemerang, Bone Rush, Acid Armor, Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave, Gunk Shot, Venom Drench, Tar Pit.
Role: Trick Room Sweeper
"When a Girafarig gets caught in a tar pit, for one reason or another, and drowns, soon a Skeleleks will be seen arising from that same tar pit, taking the place of the Girafarig. Skelelekses are incredibly vengeful, often hunting after those who had wronged them as a Girafarig."

Skeleleks is essentially the skeleton of the ancient Girafarig, albeit notibly larger, and furthermore the horns on its head have grown even further and become powerful weapons. The skeleton is completely bare with the exception of the sludge which covers the top of it. With the eyes missing in the hollow sockets two white pinpricks have appeared, and further more tar leaks out from its orifices.

The idea here is that instead of typical evolution, that a Skeleleks, is well, essentially the skeleton of a Girafarig, albeit the notable differences in structure - as such the obtention methods would consist of three ways: 1. If in a fight by a tar pit and the Girafarig the player is using is to faint then after the battle it would "evolve" and be fully restored, 2. It can be found as an overworld/tall grass encounter by a tar pit location, 3. It could be fished out from a tar pit.

Typing: Dark
Abilities: Intimidate / Strong Jaw
Stats: 70/90/70/60/60/70
Added Moves: Jaw Lock, Psychic Fangs, Earthquake
Removed Moves (if any): None
Description: nfe ig

Evolution Name: Biteyena
Typing: Dark/Normal
Abilities: Intimidate/ Strong Jaw
Stats: 80/105/80/65/80/100
Added Moves: Hyper Fang
Description: A strong jaw wallbreaker with good coverage

My first Pet Mod slate submission, I hope it's good:

:parasect:
Paras-Ancient
Type: Dark
Abilities: Water Bubble / Dry Skin / Water Absorb
Stats: 40 / 57 / 25 / 57 / 25 / 81 (285)
Added Moves: Aqua Jet, Brine, Brutal Swing, Bubble, Bubble Beam, Clamp, Crabhammer, Flip Turn, Knock Off, Night Slash, Payback, Power Trip, Pursuit, Rain Dance, Scald, Soak, Surf, Taunt, Thief, Water Gun, Water Pulse, Whirlpool
Removed Moves: Grass Moves, Double Team, Fell Stinger, Growth, Natural Gift, Nature Power, Poison Powder, Rage Powder, Sludge Bomb, String Shot, Sunny Day, Sweet Scent, Venoshock
Role: crab
Flavour: Upon inception, a Paras will immediately seek out an Omanyte's shell, typically by means of scavenging. If a vacant shell cannot be found, a Paras may resort to taking one from a live Omanyte.

Parasect-Ancient
Type: Dark / Rock
Abilities: Water Bubble / Shell Armor / Water Absorb
Stats: 70 / 35 / 140 / 25 / 110 / 25 (405)
Added Moves: Ancient Power, Iron Defense, Rock Slide, Rollout, Shell Smash, Stealth Rock, Withdraw
Removed Moves: Grass Moves, Double Team, Fell Stinger, Growth, Natural Gift, Nature Power, Poison Powder, String Shot, Sunny Day, Sweet Scent, Venoshock
Role: big crab
Flavour: Upon obtaining a shell, a Paras will Evolve into a Parasect. A Parasect's appearance is adapted to resemble an Omastar's, disguising it from predators.

Paraseize (Parasect and seize)
Type: Dark / Rock
Abilities: Water Bubble / Shell Armor / Water Absorb
Stats: 100 / 65 / 140 / 55 / 110 / 30 (500)
Added Moves: Aqua Ring, Hydro Pump, Life Dew
Role: setup sweeper / bulky pivot
Flavour: Should a Parasect obtain an Omastar's shell, it will Evolve into a Paraseize. Paraseize do not retain their disguise upon Evolving, as their own image is just as capable of deterring aggressors.

Parasieze and its preevolutions are simply hermit crabs that take a more active role in obtaining a shell. Their relationship with Omanyte and Omastar is a reference to how hermit crabs would use ammonite shells before ammonites went extinct. Parasect and Paraseize would sport shells resembling those of Omanyte and Omastar respectively, although Paras wouldn't possess a shell. Parasect would also resemble an Omanyte.

:girafarig:
Girafarig-Ancient
Type: Dragon / Psychic
Abilities: Inner Focus / Heatproof / Intimidate
Stats: 73 / 83 / 68 / 88 / 72 / 71 (455)
Added Moves: Breaking Swipe, Draco Meteor, Dragon Pulse, Dragon Tail, Psychic Fangs, Teleport
Removed Moves: Baton Pass, Double Hit, Double Edge, Headbutt, Odor Sleuth, Stomp
Role: /ɛn ɛf iː/
Flavour: Despite possessing a brain the size of most berries, Girafarig's tail is capable of complex thought. This is due to Girafarig itself handling most sensory and motor functions, allowing the tail to devote the majority of its brain to cognitive function.

Stegogets (Palindrome of Stego, as in Stegosaurus)
Type: Dragon / Psychic
Abilities: Inner Focus / Sheer Force / Intimidate
Stats: 106 / 100 / 70 / 93 / 82 / 74 (525)
Added Moves: Focus Energy, Stone Edge, Superpower, Tail Spike (if already existing customs are allowed)
Role: mixed attacker / bulky pivot
Flavour: Stegogets rarely needs to defend itself in combat, as its psychic manipulation abilities in conjunction with its tail's tusks are enough to deter even the most fearless of predators.

Girafarig's design is partially based off the stegosaurus, sharing several traits with it, including a supposed second brain, a dangerous tail, and a series of plates along the back. As such, Stegogets would lean into this aspect of Girafarig's design, adopting a frame closer to that of the stegosaurus, a more beak-like mouth, and tusks on its tail to more closely resemble a thagomizer.

:mightyena:
Poochyena-Ancient
Type: Ground / Normal
Abilities: Run Away / Quick Feet / Sand Force
Stats: 37 / 49 / 31 / 22 / 31 / 50 (220)
Added Moves: Mud Slap, Sandstorm, Stomping Tantrum
Removed Moves: Assurance, Crunch, Dark Pulse, Embargo, Foul Play, Payback, Snarl, Sucker Punch, Sunny Day
Role: pupper
Flavour: Poochyena live comfortably in shoals with their parents, until they Evolve after reaching a certain age, whereupon they are thrust into a life of competition on the beach.

Mightyena-Ancient
Type: Ground / Normal
Abilities: Intimidate / Quick Feet / Sand Force
Stats: 79 / 86 / 68 / 46 / 68 / 87 (420)
Added Moves: High Horsepower, Shore Up, Stealth Rock
Removed Moves: Assurance, Dark Pulse, Embargo, Foul Play, Payback, Snarl, Sucker Punch, Sunny Day
Role: big pupper
Flavour: Mightyena live in fiercely contested territories along coastlines. If an area is too crowded for a Mightyena to establish a territory of its own, it will drift across a neighboring body of water in a state of hibernation in hopes of shoring up on a less contested beach.

Aquaardyena (Aqua, Aard, as in Aardwolf, and Hyena)
Type: Ground / Water
Abilities: Intimidate / Quick Feet / Sand Force
Stats: 90 / 102 / 76 / 73 / 76 / 103 (520)
Added Moves: Dive, Flip Turn, Liquidation, Muddy Water, Surf
Role: offensive pivot
Flavour: After some time as the most dominant in an area, Mightyena will Evolve and move to the shoal. Aquaardyena rarely have business on land, but should they, they have free access to any Mightyena's territory.
Among hyenas, there are two camps: the modern bone crushing hyenas, which Poochyena and Mightyena are based on, and the omnivorous dog-like hyenas, of which only the Aardwolf remains. Aquaardyena and its preevolutions would be based on these older dog-like hyenas, particularly the Chasmoporthetes Ossifragus, the only hyena to cross over from Asia to the Americas through the Bering land bridge. The Aquaardyena line would borrow take from the old dog-like hyenas, including legs more adapted to running and less prominents jaws, as well as a sandier colour scheme and close ties to beaches and shoals in reference to the C. ossifagrus's crossing of landmasses. I've written a great deal of this at a very late, or rather, very early time of day, I'm going to sleep now.

Alright, let’s get some vetos going.

Parasidious
Typing:

Abilities: Worm Bore / Shed Skin | Unnerve
Worm Bore is a pretty insane ability, providing a near-guaranteed revenge kill if successfully activated. Council is unsure if this is balanced, but what we do know is that the additional damage dealt by Worm Bore would most likely tip it over the edge. Please remove this part of the custom ability.
Matriaryena
Typing:

Abilities: Intimidate / Quick Feet | Moxie
Stats: 85 HP / 110 Atk / 85 Def / 65 SpA / 65 SpD / 110 Spe / 520 BST
Weight: 49 kg
Movepool: Mightyena-Ancient's movepool + Bone Rush, Earthquake, Jaw Lock, Superpower, Throat Chop, Psychic Fangs
An amazing STAB combo plus good coverage plus great speed plus Swords Dance plus Moxie makes this mon far too difficult to stop once it gets going. Please remove Moxie or Swords Dance.

Typing: Normal/Fighting
Abilities: Scrappy / Own Tempo / Moxie

STAB Scrappy SD ESpeed is absurdly powerful. Remove Extreme Speed, and consider also removing Scrappy or lowering this mon’s Attack, as a mon with Mega Lopunny’s coverage is rather difficult to handle in the current meta.
Aquaardyena (Aqua, Aard, as in Aardwolf, and Hyena)
Type: Ground / Water
Abilities: Intimidate / Quick Feet / Adaptability
Stats: 90 / 102 / 76 / 73 / 76 / 103 (520)
Added Moves: Dive, Flip Turn, Liquidation, Muddy Water, Surf
First of all, welcome to the mod! It’s always great to see new faces around in the community. Unfortunately, your Aquaardyena is a little too optimized for this meta, as a mon with 102 Attack STAB Adaptability High Horsepower and 103 Speed to back it up really can’t be balanced. Council recommends you remove Adaptability, particularly considering how Intimidate is already an amazing ability for it.

You all will have 24 hours to correct your submissions, and then voting will open!

Alright, all vetos have been corrected, so voting can begin! All subs may be voted for.
  • Each Pokémon will be voted for separately.
  • There is no limit on the amount of submissions you can vote for.
  • First Place will count for 3 points, Second Place for 2, and all others will count for 1 point.
  • Self Votes may not be First Place, and have a limit of 6 points total.
Voting will last for 48 hours. Good luck!

Role: WIP
Bloopyghost wins with the Girafarig and Mightyena lines.
(just to clarify if anyone is wondering, Bloopyghost and Lavarina tied in number of points for Girafarig, but Bloopy recieved more 1st places nominations)

Once again, thanks everyone for adding your subs and votes and congratulations for our winners! Discussion phase will be open for 24 hours. See y'all!

SLATE 15: The Heavyweights (Spinosaurus, Therizinosaurus, Parasaurolophus)
1662303078235.jpeg
In this slate, we decided to make a more "flavorish" slate, with pokemons based in dinosaurs that still haven't received a fossil counterpart, either officially or here. Keep in mind that just because they're more flavor based, that doesn't mean that they shouldn't have a competitive aspect, so try to make a mon with some relevance for the meta.
(Also quick note: You don't have to make a Pokemon fully based on the main creature for this slate. As long as is a member of the family that one of the main dinos (Spinosauridae, Therizinosauridae and Ornithopoda) it's valid.)

Here's a submission example:
Pokémon: ???
Creature it was based: (will probably be mencioned the species that will be used in the slate)
Typing: ???
Abilities: ???
Stats: ???

Moves:

Flavor(if you want to): ???
Role: ???
You'll have roughly a week to add your submissions. If you have any questions you can ask us in our discord server. See you all later.

Pokémon: Buccisauro (Buccina, Wind Instrument in Latin + Saurus, Lizard in Greek)
Creature it was based: Parasaurolophus
Typing:

Abilities: Swift Swim / Emergency Exit
Stats: 96 / 76 / 82 / 93 / 91 / 79 [517 BST]

Flavor: Parasaurolophus are assumed to be able to make a trumpet-like scream due to their hollow crest to warn their brethren of danger, also supposedly able to swim very fast thanks to their tails, so that's that.

"It wanders alone, seeking powerful foes to challenge. Its huge blade-like claws are sharp enough to slice through even a Bastiodon's face armor."
"While it may be fearsome, this Pokémon feeds only on plants that it cuts up with its claws. It sharpens its claws on boulders as a part of its daily routine."

Terrorzino is based off of Therizinosaurus, a herbivorous theropod dinosaur with large claws that were likely used to manipulate vegetation and to defend itself either through intimidation or direct combat. Therizinosaurus lived during the late Cretaceous in what is now known as the Nemegt formation in the Gobi desert, having notably lived alongside the apex predator Tarbosaurus.

For the design, I decided to evoke an armored samurai to play up the claws and Steelworker.

"Its short arms are ineffective for defending itself, so its only means of avoiding predation is to flee as quickly as possible."
"It swallows mineral-rich stones to aid in digesting tough plant matter. These minerals are also essential for developing this Pokémon's metallic claws."

In contrast with its evolution, Teenizino has nubby little arms and is meant to evoke a ninja.

"Ruler of the sun-baked deserts, it effortlessly swims through sand in pursuit of its prey. Its large sail shines a radiant gold under the sun."
"Its long narrow snout ensures that prey cannot escape its jaws. Its hide flares up to 4500 degrees F when it is enraged."

Pharaocious is based off of Spinosaurus, specifically S. aegyptiacus which has only been found in Egypt as the species name implies. Similar to Garchomp, Hippowdon and Krookodile; I decided to make this aquatic apex predator a sand dweller which further ties into the Egyptian theme. Crocodiles were revered and feared by the ancient Egyptians which also fits an animal with very crocodilian features.

The BST is the same as Tyrantrum-Apex's along with having similar stat values as a reference to the T. rex vs. Spinosaurus battle in Jurassic Park 3.

"It wanders about sandy plains, snapping at anything that gets near its jaws. Its relatives are aquatic, having diverged from them long ago."
"Despite similarities to Sandile of the present day, the two are only distantly related."

The stats here are taken directly from Tyrunt-Apex's, again cause Jurassic Park 3.

"It favors living near marshes and rivers so that it can always have water to drink and cool off with. When attacked by predators such as Tyrantrum, it runs on its hind legs."
"It loudly honks with others of its own kind with the help of its tubular crest. Certain plants react in different ways when exposed to its cries."

Melophus is based off of Parasaurolophus, a hadrosaur famous for its tubular crest on which there is much speculation on. One of the common theories is that the crest is a resonating chamber to amplify the animal's cry, which was the inspiration for Boomburst. Prior to the 1960's Parasaurolophus was mistaken by some paleontologists as an aquatic animal that lived in swamps, while it is now definitively known as a terrestrial creature due to its body plan and weight, this idea inspired both Liquid Voice and the addition of some Water moves.

"Its head bears a small horn in the shape of a lump. This horn will grow longer as it nears evolution."

Flavor(if you want to): Spinosaurus as we all know, has recently been suggested to be a semi Aquatic Dinosaur. I wanted to lean into the water like nature of that so I leant into that in both it's abilities and Movepool.
Role: Rain doesn't exist in Paleomons yet, but the notion is still good. It's main draw is that of Water Absorb though, allowing it to freely swap into the myriad of bulky waters that plague Paleomons. 71/88/125 bulk is pretty solid, enough for it to easily get off a Dragon Dance or maybe two versus the threats in the metagame and proceed to attempt to sweep.

"The sail along its back is coarse and uneven in texture, the surface of it being dotted with many purple spots, which do in fact have a purpose, with a Swashwak being capable of spewing out either highly potent toxins or paralyzing powders on command."
"Due to the fact these Pokémon have grown up in swamps, they are fantastic swimmers, and despite their typing, are just as adept at using water-type moves as any other water-type Pokémon."
Height: 12'6"- 3.85 m
Weight: 586.2 lbs - 265.9 kg
Swashwak is an absolutely giant, bipedal Pokémon that is gangly and lanky in appearance and which has a deep green hide spotted with splotches of putrid purple and desaturated magenta. It sports an arm span of 4 meters, with their arms being 2 meters each, though their legs are quite short in comparison, being just 2/3rds of a meter. Additionally they have a grand, albeit thin and bony, sail running along their back, that also happen to rise just above their heads, with their tails additionally a mass of tightly tangled vines.

"This Pokémon is the cutesy, first-stage of Swashwak, and it certainly acts the part, with it in nature being greatly aloof and naive, playing quite roughly with its siblings."
"It is said a lone Tyshwak be left alone, as while it may seem completely harmless, their mothers are very rarely all that far behind."
Height: 3'11"- 1.2 m
Weight: 121.4 lbs - 55.07 kg
Tyshwak is small, quadrupedal Pokémon (atleast in relation to its evolutions) that has an unproportionally large head, though the rest of their body is relatively proportionate, with short legs and arms, though quite interestingly their tail, or tails, seem to made up of two vines that move independently of each other. Their hide is a dark, murky green-ish cyan with only a few several spots dotted along their skin, furthermore their hide is naturally smooth, very rubber-like in texture, with the newborns' hides being especially squishy. It should also be mentioned their backs are smooth, as they do not yet have a sail.

Role: Eviolite Toxic Drain (Toxic/Poison Fang, Giga Drain, Leech Seed, Strength Sap)
"Damshwak is when this Pokémon first truly develop their toxins and the ability to weaponize such, of course this means however when many Damshwak first develop their ability to produce these toxins they will have trouble controlling them, with it taking time for this Pokémon to learn control over their natural weapon."
Height: 7'3"- 2.2 m
Weight: 365.7 lbs - 165.9 kg
Damshwak is a facultative biped, with it being capable of walking on its hind legs, though more often then not it will walk on all fours, however its arms have certainly seen more growth than its legs. This is when their sail starts to form along its back, appearing as a thin rise, though the top of its head still reaches higher at the point in time, and from the base of its tail more vines have begin sprouting, starting to tangle with each other. Furthermore its hide now begins to toughen, with the color become more of a pure green, and the purple spots becoming transitioning to that of its evolution.

"This Pokémon will typically compete with others of it's kind as to assert dominance. These matches generally involve the two Khustler grappling and attempt to throw each other, with the last standing acting as winner."
"Nearly always when this Pokémon is entering a match with another of its kind it will perform a dance, and if it arises victorious after said match it will perform the dance once more, with those spectating following along with the victor."
Height: 23'8"- 7.20 m
Weight: 858.3 lbs - 389.3 kg
Khustler, despite appearing short in comparison to many that may prey on it, is quite strong, able to come out on top of even the likes of Tyrantrum. This Pokémon sports a feather mantle, stretching from one elbow to another, that will often either comes in shades of red and blue, while the rest of the feathers (which only come in a single, nigh-weightless layer) sporting its body appear a color similar to that of the real life Siberian fir (Abies sibirica). Furthermore the claws it has appear long and sickle-like, and are quite effective at grappling, useful for climbing, and picking out the vegetation they consume. Its mouth also points in a bit more, and it has a lack of teeth, appearing like a beak.

Due to the fact that this Pokemon is not designed with a pre-evolution in mind, it shares the same BST as Aerodactyl, being 515.

On a less descriptive note, but an important note none the less, one of the inspirations for ideas with the sub is Mongolian Wrestling, with in part coming from a similar idea to that of Hawlucha, with the part of Mongolian Wrestling being chosen in particular for the fact the Therizinosaurus was found in the Nemegt Formation, which is a geological formation found in the Gobi Desert of Mongolia - of course things aren't 100% however, but this is to try and make this Pokémon just feel like an overgrown bird that performs Mongolian Wrestling, but otherwise I definitely suggest that if you want the finer details you go read up the wikipedia page, it's quite interesting imo.

May do Parasaurolophus sub.

Role: Role Compression mon. Hits pretty hard and is decently fast, while possessing a great defensive typing and good physical bulk.

Flavor: Irriterror scavenges in the dirt, looking for strong bones of Pokemon fallen in combat. It puts them on its body to protect itself from dangerous attacks and to frighten other pokemon, as its true body is highly flexible but fragile. I thought the concept of a fossil coming to life would be a pretty unique idea - as that is how we know about dinosaurs today.

“It is largely a herbivore and enjoys grazing from trees. It scares off other herbivores with its frightening appearance, leaving it alone to eat. If threatened, it may use its fossilized armor as weaponry.”
thanks to master oden for helping me with the concept and providing art

Plasmophus has an amazing speed tier combined with a good stab coverage, which is too much for the meta rn. We would recommend lowering the Speed to be at least sub-100.
Zinocirrus has a really high power level for the meta game. Tough Claws with amazing stabs and stats is too much. We recommend dropping T Claws and lowering the Speed about 10 points.

You'll have 24 hours to do these changes or your subs will be vetoed. If all changes are done before the time runs out, voting will start right after.
Now I'll enjoy my bday and see you all tomorrow, cya :)
