Welcome to the sixth UU Classic!​

Tournament Rules:
  • General tournament rules and regulations can be found here.
  • Battles should take place on Pokemon Showdown!
  • Do not make baseless activity posts, get in contact with your opponent and report missed times / scheduling issues only.
  • Standard clauses apply.
  • All the usual Smogon tournament rules regarding activity, timer, disconnection, and ghosting rules apply.
This tournament is included in the UnderUsed Tournament Circuit of 2022!

The seeding for UU Classic Playoffs is as follows -

6. TheKingKarp - 16 points (69% win rate)
7. zben - 16 points (67% win rate: further run than bigfatmantis)
8. BigFatMantis - 16 points (67% win rate)
9. DugZa - 15 points
10. TDK - 14 points (65% win rate: further run than avarice)
11. avarice - 14 points (65% win rate)
12. Spl4sh - 13 points (63% win rate)
13. pokemonisfun - 13 points (60% win rate)
14. Totomon - 12 points (67% win rate)
15. dunoks - 12 points (63% win rate)
16. Shiba - 12 points (60% win rate)

Note that while ADV cup hasn't finished, the result cannot effect the seeding. The updated points will be edited in when the results of that series are known.

Series are best of 5. Higher seed gets to pick the first gen, after which loser picks the next game(s).

Tbf all 16 players are losing by playing mons

[1] esche vs Shiba [16] - #1 seed curse kicks in, other than that this is a REALLY balanced matchup, most likely coming down to prep and a good day from anyone here
[2] Amukamara vs dunoks [15] - I haven't seen dunoks in old gens too much but he's a solid player overall, but Liam is great and hard to not bold him here
[3] Micciu vs Totomon [14] - Haven't watched any old gen game from totomon so I'm just picking the one I've seen play those before
[4] Hydronics vs pokemonisfun [13] - pif literally created old gens underused (just please stop loading fucking 2013 bw teams)
[5] Estarossa vs Spl4sh [12] - This is anyone's game, giving a slight edge to Spl4sh but if he just doesn't care enough the show is p much set to take this one out
[6] TheKingKarp vs avarice [11] - Realistically avarice has higher odds of taking the W here but I'm a HUGE tkk believer wooooo, avarice got the numbers, tkk got the MAGIC
[7] zben vs TDK [10] - zben is prob gonna prep the fuck out for this one while TDK barely touches the builder, TDK is the superior player but I'm feeling an upset here
[8] BigFatMantis vs DugZa [9] - close one but I think BFM just has the wider old gen experience atp

i can finally do predicts

[9] (GSC, SM) DugZa vs Shiba (ADV, DPP, BW, ORAS) [16] : Shibad looked solid on his set despite the lucky adv game and had a more convincing set than Dugza's altho Dugza's SM looked on point, I'm looking forward to watch the gsc game.
[7] (GSC, ADV) zben vs Amukamara (DPP, BW, ORAS, SM) [2] : Liam had easily the most convincing r1 win out of anyone here, while zben also had a solid performance but its harder to judge when he's facing jaboca berry shiftry in sm uu, should be a good one but I am def favoring Liam.
[6] (any) TheKingKarp vs Totomon [14] : tkk is gonna win UU Classic 2022
[4] (BW) Hydronics vs Estarossa (GSC, ADV, DPP, ORAS, SM) [5] : The show looked fire last round but he really gotta come together with the tiers he's not as familiar/doesn`t have as much love for if he wants to take it all, his sm game was perfect but he really gotta watch out for them agilipasses on gsc cuz that is the only way you beat the show in his hometown. Hydronics looked ok on his set but I didn't like his DPP and SM teams.
