SPOILERS! Scarlet & Violet Leaks Thread - Data/Mechanics

By the way, do we have the evolution methods for all the new pokes?

I know that the dolphin has a very hilarious one as someone wrote it earlier in the topic, what about the other new mons that don't just evolve via level up?

Also, did someone confirm that the hisuian transfers can't evolve?

Would you rather we just have the broken stuff with nothing to check them effectively? Main reason I would be opposed to an incin nerf is that gamefreak can’t be trusted to make not-broken things so we end up with broken things that we inevitably need incin to check effectively
No this is a bad argument cuz he's arguing that Incineroar is broken but he's not. Play ORAS BSS for the discussion of broken beats broken, feel your heart race as you see at team preview your life hanging on by one decision. Then you may all discuss if a healthy utility Pokemon like Incineroar

Anybody found out how much boost does the paradox abilities give? Is it a hidden natural boost or like in battle boost like intrepid sword? If the item booster energy is consumed does the boost remain active throughout the battle, even being switched out?

Has to score a KO (or level up i think, but i remind it was a KO) while being in a coop game.

Sadly just has to be in coop game, but my headcanon is that the dolphin wins a battle, someone sees him do it and he decides he wants to be a super hero
Killing 3 bisharps with a bisharp with a special item... walk in Pokemon GO (Hi people whitout PoGO lol)... Use 20 time a move...

It's pretty interesting how much they are creative for evolutions

Yeah sure, but with the lack of fossils too (if i'm not wrong), I feel like this gen is a bit special.
Potentially two reasons for this. The first being that because of DLC GF have realised they can release Pokemon outside of the base release and it'll be fine, I feel like the DLC additions may be a bit more intense this time around, EP from SWSH definitely felt like testing the waters for what they can do with DLC and how to improve longevity of games - but also I think that Khu would've mentioned more Pokemon other than Suicune/Virizion and third legend by now, unless it's two waves and he doesn't know that far ahead. Or it's one wave and he only knows the very basics of it, considering those 3 were potentially going to be in the base game.

And reason two being that with the heavy story concept of past/future, I think fossils could potentially muddy that concept.

Well a third reason is that they simply did not wanna add fossils? This Gen is shaking up a lot of things so there's that too

Bramblin -> Brambleghast: walk 1000 steps in Let's Go
Cetoddle -> Cetitan: Ice Stone
Charcadet -> Ceruledge/Armarouge: Auspicious Armor/Malicious Armor in Zapapico
Girafarig -> Farigiraf: level up with Twin Beam
Greavard -> Houndstone: level 30 at night
Capsakid -> Scovillain: Fire Stone + level 30
Tadbulb -> Bellibolt: Thunder Stone
Primeape ->Annihilape: Use Rage Fist 20 times
Pawmo -> Pawmot: walk 1000 steps in Let's Go

Think this is it, but some may be wrong (Pawmo, Bramblin and Primeape in particular).

I feel like the second point is the good one, past pokemons maybe replace this gen the fossils. Like in Alola and the islands where there were no fossils and it was pretty logic.

Just a general trend I noticed about the moves from the csv file:
Moves that last more than 1 turn (Outrage, Rollout, Petal Dance, Thrash) has set 6 value 1
Charging Moves (Fly, Dig) has set 3 and 6 value 1
Moves that call other moves (Sleep Talk, Assist, Metronome) has set 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6 value 1
Transform has set 1,4,5,6 value 1
Struggle has all set values 1
Moves that can fail after consecutive uses (Protect, Detect, Destiny Bond) has set 4 value 1
Moves that cannot be called by other moves Assist have set 4 value 1 (probably the Assist Flag)

Uproar, which is a continuous move, also has the set 3 value 1

no idea what any of this means
Internally, the Assist exclusion list has historically been stored right after the Sleep Talk exclusion list, so field 3 is probably that. Field 6 may be the Instruct exclusion list.

Some neat observations from looking over the data!
(Huge thanks slp32 for correcting the EffectSequence column in the data!! I looked over them just now!)

- Dire Claw, Stone Axe and Ceaseless Edge all claim to have a boosted crit rate in their descriptions, which is a carryover from Legends: Arceus, but none of them actually do. P:

- Hyper Drill doesn't just ignore protection like Unseen Fist - it looks like it actually breaks protection like Feint! They have the same EffectSequence in the data.

- Comeuppance looks like it should be exactly the same as Metal Burst from its description, but its EffectSequence is unique. Could it do a different amount of damage?

- Triple Dive and Armor Cannon also both have unique EffectSequences, even though Armor Cannon is a clone (it has EffectSequence 477, while all of Close Combat, Dragon Ascent and Headlong Rush have 229) and I don't know what could be special about Triple Dive's effect...?
Be on the lookout for hidden effects, I guess (???), and maybe it would be worth testing if all three of Triple Dive's hits have the same power or not!
