I'm not sure if this is something that can easily be checked (somehow unflag the flag and try it...?), but Flag 2 being entirely status moves makes me wonder if it's related Toedscool's ability (the Status-only mold breaker but negative prioity). Like instead of checking for Status, it for some reason checks for the Flag
No, salt cure is an attacking move, so whatever the flag is it's not 100% status based

Well I mean, flag 1 is most definitely just something related to recovery moves since thats every single one of them

So does Triple Arrows not actually have a chance to flinch? The Doc mentions that it has a 50% chance to lower the opponent's Def by 1 stage and a +1 Crit Rate, but nothing about flinching, despite the description indicating otherwise.

It does have a 30% chance to flinch in addition to those things.

Has anyone tested whether the Ruin abilities apply a fixed BST nerf or a percentage-based stat nerf? I have no evidence for this, but I feel a fixed BST nerf would be the simplest way to code it and would therefore be what Gamefreak did for Scarlet and Violet.

I'm actually wondering whether Flag 2 is actually the long-awaited Good As Gold flag, containing such intriguing bedfellows as Trick, Defog, Stealth Rock, Skill Swap, Court Change, Life Dew, Helping Hand, Memento, Revival Blessing, and Salt Cure (sodium chloride ain't corroding no gold). See below for the current Good As Gold tests:
Gigaton Hammer leaves the user struggling on the 2nd turn if Encored in to the move, but is able to use the move normally again on the 3rd turn, but struggling again after that etc.

Good as Gold blocks Life Dew, Defog, and Perish Song (only from itself) but doesn't block Haze, will edit in more if I get access to other notable stuff, but most standard targeted status moves, like Encore, Entrainment, Helping Hand, and Role Play for example, seems to be blocked. Mold Breaker bypasses it normally.

Mortal Spin also spins away hazards beside the binding moves outlined in its description and targets both opponents in a double battle.

Toxic Debris is triggered on physical moves, stacks up the regular 2 layers of tspikes, and if hit by a teammate in a double battle it still sends the tspikes to the opposing side.

Rage Fist seems to boost power by 50 BP per hit, triggering on each multi-hit move as well (5 hits=300 BP). No idea if this caps out, I don't think I have anything strong enough to tank that powerful hits. Confusion self-damage also seems to count as a hit. Switching out and fainting does not reset the boost.

Glaive Rush's effects does not persist to the next pokemon if the user switches out.
The best way I can explain Perish Song not having the flag is that it still goes off. I also can't explain Pain Split not having the flag, to the point that I'm wondering whether it got misread as Salt Cure. A Corrosive Gas test in Doubles would be awesome!

I'm of the same mind. In fact, I was just double checking over everything and noticed something peculiar; Salt Cure isnt like other similar moves such as Whirlpool or Fire Spin, it casts its own status, named Salt Cure. We can test this by simply attacking a Goldengo with Salt Cure and see if its ability shrugs it off.

Tera Blast is listed as a Special move, and its description says the pokemon uses the higher stat between Attack and Sp. Attack. In the case of choosing Attack, is it still a Special move (as in, does it still hit Sp. Def instead of Defense)?

Some Revival Blessing interactions i want to know about:

  • Magic Guard / Rock Head: Do they block the hp removal part of the move?
  • Emergency Exit: Does it manage to revive the mon before switching out? Is one able to go inmediately to the dead mon upon switching in?
  • PP: Does reviving a mon give it any pp?
Revival Blessing doesn't have "recoil" for the user in the first place

Reviving mon does not get pp

I’ve noticed most sources (including the first post) that list all the healing moves with pp reductions don’t mention morning sun or moonlight. Are these moves also nerfed or did they remain unchanged? I would assume they are but since they vary by weather it’s possible gamefreak decided to make them a little better in pp to compensate

Moonlight and morning sign were already 5-8 pp before this lol

Heard some rumors about repeated follow me uses having a fail chance, similar to protect. Tested it and hit two triple follow mes and two quad follow mes. Determining whether it's more likely that the game spit out a 1/129,140,163 or the mechanic was left unchanged is left as an exercise for the reader.
Wasn't however that actually added for Ally Switch? I remind someone mentioning that AS now fails if used consecutively.

Not only they axed the TM, they also made it fail, they really heard the cries from the great ball tier VGC players :psysly:

(Not that I mind, I found it annoying myself, but far from the disaster some people made it out to be)

the op suggests that ally switch was nerfed so we trust the op. can't confirm first hand though.

New question for testing as for now I don't really have a way to myself:

Mouse family - Population bomb: now that we know that the move is like Triple Axel (aka, it tries to hit max times, but every hit has a separate accuracy roll and failing one stops the following ones from happening), what is the interaction with accuracy-modifying factors? Are you able to achieve 100% chance to hit 10 times using Gravity, Lock-On, No Guard or similar effects?

Also, though obviously going to work, interaction with King's Rock and similar "on hit" items/abilities, does every hit apply the chance separately?
(king rock population bomb go brrrr)

Trick and Pain Split is blocked while Salt Cure's passive damage is not (takes the 25% from being a Steel-type). Corrosion Gas is a tutor only move so that's gonna have to wait until we get an easy save editor.
