Dauntless Shield helps Zamazenta take attacks from foes such as Dragonite and Dragon Dance Dragapult, making it more difficult to revenge kill. Close Combat nails the majority of the tier including Skarmory, Mega Scizor, Rotom-W, and Great Tusk. Crunch prevents Ghost-types, such as Gholdengo and Dragapult, from safely switching in to Zamazenta on a predicted Close Combat. Wild Charge lets Zamazenta break through Toxapex and Slowbro, while Ice Fang covers Gliscor and the notorious Landorus-T. Tera Fighting boosts Close Combat to astonishing levels, 2HKOing even resistant foes such as Tornadus-T. Future Sight support from teammates like Tapu Lele and Slowbro is invaluable, easing prediction against Toxapex and nailing Buzzwole. Pursuit support from teammates such as Kingambit and Weavile eliminates foes such as Dragapult and Gholdengo or forces them to Terastallize, which allows Zamazenta to safely lock into Close Combat.
