Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
The lack of a HOME update is partially, or majorly(depends who you ask), responsible as the novelty of new gen has worn off and we've had over 6 months of the same limited dex at this point. There's only so much you can do with that and some might be bored. That, and shed Tail was ruining ladder for a while before its ban.
Stats for this month are based solely on April usage, with a 4.52% rise/drop cutoff. Inteleon had a few days of usage so it isn't dropping from anywhere, Cyclizar and Typhlosion had around two weeks and their usage is proportionally low so down they go. Full stats will be up shortly.

I wonder when UU ladder will realize that Toedscruel & Forretress are unviable trash, sad to see these 2 pokemon in UU purgatory.
Meanwhile both OU & NU usage stats are dominated by one ground type you need a really good reason to not use them on your team
thx to their role compression + typing & ability. They are even decently fast for being bulky pokemon. Whiscash dropping to NU will give a few teams
a reason to use another ground type at least, but i don`t see Sandacondas NU dominance stopping anytime soon. PU`s drops will be interesting to play around, especially Dachsbun in theory should be a nice addition to this tier to get some needed fire type check. Quaxwell still being #1 in usage is so sad to see tho, higher ladder players often don`t bother anymore with it or any other hazard removal cause they are really mid or trash for different reasons (in case of Quaxwell being that it just straight up loses to S Rank Misdreavus and mid Drakloak) and spam Heavy Duty Boots on multiple mons on their teams.

Ground is arguably the best type competitively or at least the most consistent. Every tier besides ZU has a Ground type in the top 4 Pokemon, and ZU is the only exception because your options are LCmons, Pupitar, and Krokorok. And even then Toedscool is top 10 in ZU too. No surprise they dominate every meta.

Poor RU. Not only did UU keep Toedscruel and Forry, but they got a second decently powerful Fighting/Flying type right after banning the other one + Kilowattrel and Slowbro leaving
