this isn't directed @ anyone in particular although if you're paying attention you can probably see what prompted it but

Broadly Speaking

i think reads of the form "such and such is awkward" (or relatedly, "hem and haw is underwhelming") are dumb & more often than not flimsy stand-ins that just bail the player out of having to make more precise determinations and Actually Say What's going on
 
like if you think someone or something's awkward then generally it shouldn't be too much of an ask to explain what makes it awkward, what prompts the awkwardness, why that awkwardness might come from one alignment or another, how it functions to accomplish x y or z, etc. etc. etc.

to answer this btw i legit have not been following eurovision this year but i keep seeing that diodato clip floating around so i guess i should probably check it out at some point

realiti seems somewhat towny, LS and Celever reads I disagree with for somewhat different reasons but I see the train of thought coming from a member of town.

I townread Psy with the exception of the Celever interaction, which feels like a weird tunnel. (Celever votes for pressure, but gives a different reason, later revealing they voted for pressure = Scum?)

i'm also glad someone said this outright. i think people get too worked up over "omg it's d1 there's nothing to go off of" or like "oh d1 stuff there's so little" and basically railroad themselves into a world where yeah, of course stuff only picks up before the lunch. if you preemptively treat everything like it's unimportant then it's just kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy - but realistically you (generally) should be doing whatever to get things Moving, who cares how much. and like

we can debate RQS vs RVS or whatever but really i'm not interested in things being immediately suggestive of alignment, i just want as few barriers for entry into the thread as possible bc 5 pages of content over the course of 12 hours, with 11 of 13 players having posted is like
pretty sad when you consider who was doing most of the talking

also helps cut inhibitions due to familiarity, helps track people's expressed attitudes over time, yadda yadda

I have the exact same D1 read I had on Laurel last time but given the fact it was last time, I don’t think it matters as much because it was last time.

Hydro could be normal Hydro lowposting, could also be Hydro specifically as scum talking early towards the beginning of the day so.
