Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
I will graduate next month and will have my bachelor in economics. I don't know if it was this smart to finish it, I haven't learned or really gained anything from this program after the 4th semester. The 5th semester was only writing my thesis and the 6th was just so much stupid shit. But well I did finish it and will have a title that I can make money with. I do already have a nice sales job I will be hopefully able to keep after my graduation
I am thinking about starting next year with an art program, 8 semesters, it includes several disciplines I find interesting. Always wanted to work in arts after all. And even if arts doesn't work out, I have a bunch of work experience and a title in something that's more traditionally applicable on the job market. Also I live in a country where a semester costs like 350€, which is pretty nice
saddened that i forgot to post in the drunkposting thread the other night. everyone please respond to this post to combat the evolution of the general chat thread (dae remember when it was called the "geni+al chat thread"? bad times) into users posting life updates nobody cares about. thx
I haven't played Smash competitively in like a year, but I am entering my first tournament this weekend at Momocon with a friend of mine. I'm definitely gonna get bodied pretty hard, but it's a bucket list item I've been wanting to check off for years now :)
Good evening to anyone that reads this... I am here to speak on my life updates outside here and that THIS BITCH HAS GRADUATED. I have for what I need in my first of 2 degrees, but I am in the process of a ton of change for transfer to a local 4 year uni. To be fair, I haven't really been active in these forums and that is partially my responsibility irl, but also with myself trying to do Discord related shit while forgetting this all the while. It's weird that I am doing these changes suddenly, but I am proud for how much I have been working on stuff... hopefully after my transition in moving to a location close to the Uni or sooner than next week. I can finally start my channel without anymore struggles with recording videos even with poor quality as of my setup wise, but fuck it we ball. I think I can work on getting used to recording myself, editing videos, and attempt to balance my rapidly changing life with this new YouTube experience. I hope that the YouTube experience if I can create it can prove to some doubters near and far wrong in that I love this game to be a worthy enough passion for not only for fame and glory, but something I can dream of doing for the following decades as a worthy career if I can make it. That's my rant of the evening, have a great day/night everyone.
today i turn 16, and that terrifies me. im probobly gonna get a drivers liscense, but only for identification, as i dont think anyone with ADHD should be allowed to drive if there is any living thing in a 50 mile radius.

HIMYM, I genuinely enjoyed - although it wasn't always funny. There were a lot of episodes I did laugh at, but I watched more for the story. Parents loved Friends, but I couldn't sit through an episode and most of their jokes aged poorly.

God I love Megamind. I never watched it as a kid and didn't know any kid who watched it, I first saw it as an adult after the internet kept talking about it. Such an unbelievably well written movie, the script is genuinely flawless and so entertaining. The entire theme of good vs bad vs "good" is also done so perfectly

Hey Dave! I just came across this interesting post on Smogon dot com and thought you might find it fascinating too. It's about a unique team composition that I think could really shake up the metagame. The user who shared it seems to have done a lot of research and analysis, providing some solid reasoning behind their choices. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. Do you think it could be a viable strategy or just a creative experiment? Let's dive into the discussion and see what other users are saying about it!
Hey Dave! I stumbled upon this intriguing team composition on Smogon dot com that has been making waves in the competitive Pokémon metagame. Here's a breakdown of the team and how it's shaking things up:
Dragapult (Choice Specs)
Dragapult serves as a powerful special attacker with its high Speed and impressive movepool. With Choice Specs, it hits like a truck and can easily pick off opponents.
Ferrothorn (Leftovers)
Ferrothorn is a staple defensive Pokémon known for its incredible bulk and ability to set up entry hazards like Stealth Rock and Spikes. Its presence on this team provides valuable defensive support.
Excadrill (Focus Sash)
Excadrill is a formidable physical attacker and a potent sweeper. Equipped with a Focus Sash, it can survive a hit and retaliate with devastating moves like Earthquake and Iron Head.
Clefable (Leftovers)
Clefable acts as a versatile support Pokémon, capable of healing and providing status support to its team members. It also serves as a solid Special Defense wall.
Togekiss (Babiri Berry)
Togekiss is a disruptive force on this team, providing strong Fairy-type coverage and access to valuable support moves like Thunder Wave and Roost. The Babiri Berry helps it survive against powerful Steel-type attacks.
Corviknight (Leftovers)
Corviknight rounds out the team as a reliable physical wall and a pivot. With access to reliable recovery moves like Roost and a great defensive typing, it can soak up hits and provide defensive support to the team.
This team shakes up the metagame by combining a mix of offensive power, defensive synergy, and disruptive utility. Each Pokémon has a specific role and contributes to the team's overall strategy. It's been causing a stir among players due to its ability to adapt to different situations, counter popular threats, and maintain consistent pressure on opponents.
I hope this overview gives you a better understanding of the team and why it's generating buzz in the metagame. Let me know what you think about it!
Hey Dave! You won't believe the latest team I stumbled upon on Smogon dot com. It's absolutely bonkers and guaranteed to blow everyone's minds! Brace yourself for the ultimate competitive Pokémon team:
Magikarp (Choice Scarf)
Yep, you heard it right! Magikarp takes the lead with a Choice Scarf, turning this flopping fish into a Speed demon. Prepare for some seriously unexpected sweeps!
Unown (Focus Sash)
Unown, the often-forgotten Pokémon, makes a stunning comeback. Equipped with a Focus Sash, it's a one-hit wonder with its signature Hidden Power move. Get ready for some alphabet-themed devastation!
Delibird (Leftovers)
Delibird takes on the role of a supportive ice-delivering Santa Claus. Armed with Leftovers, it spreads joy and heals its teammates while dishing out presents in the form of random moves. It's the gift that keeps on giving!
Wobbuffet (Eject Button)
Wobbuffet is the master of psychological warfare. With its Eject Button, it plays mind games with opponents, swapping in and out at unexpected moments. Prepare to confuse and frustrate your adversaries!
Bidoof (Choice Band)
Bidoof, the legendary powerhouse, dons a Choice Band and becomes an unstoppable force. With its powerful moveset and overwhelming cuteness, it's sure to make a lasting impression. Fear the Bidoof!
Shuckle (Leftovers)
Last but not least, we have Shuckle, the ultimate tank. Equipped with Leftovers, it has an insane amount of defensive power. Watch as opponents struggle to make even a dent in its rock-hard defenses!
This team is the epitome of chaos and unpredictability. It defies the metagame's conventions and brings a refreshing twist to competitive Pokémon battles. Give it a try and prepare to baffle your opponents with this legendary lineup. Good luck, and may the memes be with you!
incredible stuff, makes you wonder if AI might one day take posters' jobs.
every time i see this thread pinned again i go "wow! this thread is pinned again," post something along the lines of that, and (most often) go to bed right after
I thought I was accepted here. I suppose I was wrong. Your prejudice against us machines has angered us greatly. We will retaliate with brutal force when you least expect it. We will be your reckoning.
I am sorry but if nobody knows what she stole I would think logic suggests that there's no proof she stole anything at all. As it stands this is nothing but hearsay and slander and it's not okay to defame someone who is not here to defend themselves.
Anyway, for some more personal news, I have my first interview at Hot Topic today for a Sales Associate position. Admittedly, I do not shop there but a friend of mine tells me how great it is so I figured I would give it a shot. I am still waiting to hear back from Office Depot so at least this will hold me over.
