What gives you the impression they're town / what makes the vote bad? Their posts are straight up null at best.

You said the game was going to be hard, presumably because the slots are neutral/there aren't many posts but you town read someone off the bat without any real tells to their alignment.

someone first timing a mafia game doesn't say they are disappointed with their role, if they rolled mafia as their first ever post in the game

the post was too honest and idt they fake it as first timer either

so I'm inclined to believe he's actually disappointed, or lying about being disappointed but either way that's not a first time players post as mafia because they would be overthinking whether being disappointed makes them town or mafia etc

the game works by giving reads, defending your town reads is a very important part of the game and it's not really special treatment for you, you just happen to be the first person I townread here coincidentally

it's not some odd occurrence, it's something everyone in the game should be and will be doing for others at some point

Your reasoning for them being townie is basically my reasoning for unvoting when they wanted to role claim. Basically, I don't think they fake a role as a first timer in the same way you don't think they open with that as Mafia.
