I think hypo claiming benefits us in part due to seer-hunt-clear, so I think getting something along those lines off the ground early would help even more.

How reliable do you think that is? I understand the grand theory of it, but especially in a setup like this, I think most people are gonna be putting green results on town and if I’m mafia there’s no way I don’t kill whoever green checks me or my buddy if not that night then the night after. Since that will probably happen.

Beyond that I’m not sure how much I believe you genuinely thought hypothetical “how I would use my action” conversation is hypo-parallel or achieves the same results. This setup is already kinda weird because the JOAT is kinda stuck with a pre-described action order, but in a universe where we’re hypoing they get straight up strongarmed into that action order. (Seer -> Vig -> Doctor). That being the case advantages the mafia IMO, they need the threat of especially doc on any night.

If we hypo it should be D4, or D3 if there haven’t been a vig kill for that reason. The JOAT’s actions get somewhat telegraphed. So I think it was really pre-emptive.

Hm, I think an example will best explain how reliable I think it is.
I say I'm checking Celever and then die. Either no mafia was named by village, or Celever is mafia. Lots of narrowing of possibilities there.
