Stealth Rock (Mudbray) @ Eviolite
Ability: Stamina
Level: 5
Tera Type: Dragon / Fire
EVs: 116 HP / 196 Atk / 36 Def / 156 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake / High Horsepower
- Stone Edge / Rock Tomb
- Roar / Tera Blast

[SET COMMENTS]
Mudbray is a solid check to many of Little Cup's hardest hitting attackers, shrugging off attacks from the likes of Glimmet, Alolan Grimer, Unburden Shroodle, and Growth Numel. High Horsepower can be run over Earthquake to give Mudbray a better matchup against Grassy Terrain teams, but it has worse damage rolls against threats like Choice Scarf Gothita. Stone Edge is capable of OHKOing the likes of Drifloon, Wattrel, and Tera Flying Shroodle, while Rock Tomb deters switch-ins from faster Pokemon and stifles setup sweepers like Numel. Roar helps with the latter as well, preventing setup sweepers like Numel and Shellder from boosting. The EVs let Mudbray hit a whopping 20 Attack, while adding onto its already respectable natural bulk. This, in addition to Stamina means ample opportunity to switch in and set Stealth Rock or attack back hard. Tera Dragon provides useful resistances to Fire, Water, and Grass, surprising would-be threats in Shellder and non-Tera Ice Hisuian Voltorb. Tera Fire can alternatively be used, sacrificing defensive utility for Will-o-Wisp immunity and the ability to lure in and OHKO Grass-types like Hisuian Voltorb, Toedscool, and Grookey with Tera Blast.

Mudbray struggles primarily against Grass-types such as Grookey, Hisuian Voltorb, and Foongus. Alolan Grimer, Wattrel, and Drifloon cover this weakness, while Mudbray provides an answer to Glimmet and opposing Alolan Grimer for these Pokemon in return. Between Mudbray's durability and its utility options in Roar and Rock Tomb, many teams will appreciate it as a blanket check to a lot of the metagame's dangerous offensive threats like Pawniard and Numel. Grookey, Drifloon, and Hisuian Voltorb appreciate Mudbray as a switch-in to Alolan Grimer. Setup sweepers like Numel, Shellder, and Unburden Shroodle take advantage of Mudbray's Stealth Rock to wear down checks. If Mudbray is running Tera Fire, Grookey especially likes the luring in of Hisuian Voltorb and Drifloon to clear the way for its Wood Hammer.

Stealth Rock (Mudbray) @ Eviolite
Ability: Stamina
Level: 5
Tera Type: Steel Dragon / Fire (Dragon is the best and most common Tera on this right now)
EVs: 116 HP / 196 Atk / 36 Def / 156 Spe (Do people run speed on this and no SpDef? I don't know)
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- High Horsepower / Earthquake
- Stone Edge / Rock Tomb
- Heavy Slam Roar / Tera Blast (Discussed these moveset changes with QC - Heavy Slam is pretty irrelevant at the moment and Roar is more accurate to the mon's current role)

The EVs let Mudbray hit a whopping 20 Attack, while adding onto its already respectable natural bulk. This, in addition to Stamina means ample opportunity to switch in, and set Stealth Rock or attack back hard. High Horsepower is the STAB of choice over Earthquake due to the prevalence of Grassy Terrain. (Mention that EQ is an option for some better rolls and 100% accuracy if not running Grookey or too worried about it) Stone Edge is capable of OHKOing the likes of Drifloon, Wattrel, and Tera Flying Shroodle, while Heavy Slam 3HKOs Toedscool and is 120 BP against the majority of the tier. (Mention Rock Tomb as an alternative to check set-up sweepers and inhibit faster mons) Tera Steel boosts the damage output of Heavy Slam. and can be used to revenge kill a weakened Shellder, or surprise a Hisuian Voltorb attempting to use Giga Drain and attack back hard with High Horsepower. (Mention Tera Dragon checking non-Ice Voltorb and flipping weaknesses) If you choose to go the Tera Fire route, defensive utility is sacrificed for Will-o-Wisp immunity and the ability to lure in and OHKO Grass-types. OHKOing like Hisuian Voltorb, Toedscool, and Grookey with Tera Blast while and resisting their primary STAB.
(Tera Steel line might be phrased poorly. Should I mention HH>EQ because of Grassy Terrain?) (Hopefully answered)

Mudbray struggles primarily against the Grass-types of the tier. Alolan Grimer, Wattrel and Drifloon cover up that weakness, while Mudbray provides an answer to Glimmet and opposing Grimer-Alola. Shellder is another mon that can come in and set up a Shell Smash on a Mudbray, so Pokemon such as Foongus or Prankster Shroodle can shut that down. (With Roar/Tomb, this should no longer be true. In fact, I would add a line about teams appreciate Mudbray as a blanket check to HO) Grookey, Drifloon, and or Hisuian Voltorb appreciate Mudbray as a switch in to Alolan Grimer and providing Stealth Rock to chip away at their answers. Set up sweepers like Unburden Shroodle or Shellder take advantage of the latter as well. If Tera Fire, Grookey especially likes the luring in of Hisuian Voltorb and Drifloon to clear the way for its STAB Wood Hammer. (The only relevant STAB move)

I believe I've implemented everything here (+ added a line about Roar in the first paragraph). To keep it simple I'd like to stick to this spread as its generic enough, but I could mention 14 speed is nice as an OO to outspeed any unboosted Pokemon after a Rock Tomb.

(dex info and grammatically incorrect)

Mudbray struggles primarily against the Grass-types of the tier. (Provide examples please!) Alolan Grimer, Wattrel and Drifloon cover up that weakness, while Mudbray provides an answer to Glimmet and opposing Grimer-Alola. Between Mudbray's durability, and utility options in Roar and Rock Tomb, many teams will appreciate it as a blanket check to many of HOs threats. (Be specific here about the threats Mudbray is a blanket check to; just saying "HO" isn't sufficient) Grookey, Drifloon, and Hisuian Voltorb appreciate Mudbray as a switch in to Alolan Grimer and providing Stealth Rock to chip away at their answers. (every Pokemon appreciates having Stealth Rock up on the opposing side; this doesn't really add anything over the next sentence) Set up sweepers like Unburden Shroodle or Shellder take advantage of the latter as well Mudbray's Stealth Rock to break through checks. If Mudbray is running Tera Fire, Grookey especially likes the luring in of Hisuian Voltorb and Drifloon to clear the way for its Wood Hammer.

Stone Edge is capable of OHKOing the likes of Drifloon, Wattrel, and Tera Flying Shroodle, while Rock Tomb deters switch-ins from faster Pokemon (RC) or stifles set up setup sweepers. (any examples for either of these points?) Roar helps with the latter as well, preventing set-up setup sweepers like Numel or and Shellder from boosting. The EVs let Mudbray hit a whopping 20 Attack, while adding onto its already respectable natural bulk. This, in addition to Stamina means ample opportunity to switch in and set Stealth Rock or attack back hard. (paragraph needs to follow set order - moves first, evs/teras after) Tera Dragon provides useful resistances to Fire, Water, and Grass, surprising would-be (add hyphen) threats in Shellder and non-Tera Ice Hisuian Voltorb. If you choose to go the Tera Fire route , defensive utility is sacrificed for Will-o-Wisp Tera Fire can alternatively be used, sacrificing defensive utility for Will-O-Wisp immunity and the ability to lure in and OHKO Grass-types like Hisuian Voltorb, Toedscool, and Grookey with Tera Blast. (changed this because "if you go the tera fire route" as a transition doesnt work as well if tera fire hasnt been introduced beforehand)

Alolan Grimer, Wattrel, (AC) and Drifloon cover this weakness, while Mudbray provides an answer to Glimmet and opposing Alolan Grimer for these Pokemon in return. Grookey, Drifloon, and Hisuian Voltorb appreciate Mudbray as a switch-in (add hyphen) to Alolan Grimer. Setup sweepers like Numel, Shellder, and Unburden Shroodle take advantage of Mudbray's Stealth Rock to wear down checks.
