Close Combat and Brave Bird have excellent neutral coverage, easily 2HKOing common walls like Scream Tail, Manaphy, and Mandibuzz while OHKOing Great Tusk and Kommo-o. Knock Off cripples switch-ins like defensive Zapdos and has a chance to OHKO non-Colbur Berry defensive Gholdengo. Adamant is the preferred nature for a good chance to 2HKO Intimidate Corviknight, while Jolly is an option to at least Speed tie the crowded base 100 Speed tier including Zapdos and Manaphy and outspeed offensive Great Tusk. Galarian Zapdos pairs well with fast cleaners that can take advantage of its wallbreaking prowess, including Weavile, Azelf, and Barraskewda; the latter two are especially noteworthy for pivoting it in on common walls like Hisuian Goodra and Kommo-o, respectively.
