I think most of this can be attributed to new player moment, but everything we've seen so far has tiger trying to engage and understand forum maf strategy, so I really think another lynch would be better today

Oh there's a few forum maf terms and acronyms that get thrown around you might want to get down, I had trouble with em at first so I figure it'd help you out:

I tried to find one for Viva la Vida but they're mostly meant for very specific contexts and make no sense outside of them.

The two open secrets about mafia is that the surest way to lose is to die so it's really in some ways a popularity contest, and that as an extension of that, the people who live (at a high enough level) are the people who have better communication skills, not necessarily the ones with better reads or scumgames. But accepting these things makes the game very boring imo.

The surest way for a mafia game to become uninteresting to me is to have it be about people posturing about how good they are while other people just sheep like "yeah I guess if you're scum I can lose to you", a phenomenon I've seen in at least half the games I've read in the last year involving many different players on both sides of this.

This is the best post of this thread so far. I do want people to consider all options and pressure anyone and everyone - no one should be off-limits and this shouldn’t be a popularity contest.

I don’t actually think it’s hard alignment indicative re. Blazade because we both know he’s good enough to make this post as anything, but I do think he’s a slight townlean for me overall thus far.

I’m obsessed with Neon’s spreadsheet and am now firmly against voting them today. No shot a newer mafia player does that as scum.

ZippyDoo200 can you elaborate on why you don't like the tigershark vote? I personally don't like their response to it at all but do think the initial vote was a little weird / it felt coordinated.

Feels like Pulsar is looking for an easy vote to coast day 1, which I see her do as scum many times, but always write off.
