I'm working on a project using the .json file from /chaos. I noticed something weird using /2023-09-DLC1/chaos/gen1ou-0.json.
So as I didn't know exactly what was chaos and how was calculated the statistics in /2023-09-DLC1/gen1ou-0.txt, I count the number of entries in 'data'. But I realised the number (125) didn't match with the number of pokemon in the usage (gen1ou-0.txt). For example, Horsea is 141th on the usage (as it was used precisely once, and appear once in battle as it's "real" usage is 1), but doesn't have an entries in 'data' and only appear as a teammates for 4 pokemons (respectively Gyarados, Psyduck, Poliwhirl and Staryu). It was indeed used once (as a teammates), but so he should get an entry right ? If not, how are you supposed to calculate the usage from /chaos ?

Toxic Chain is listed as Illuminate in usage stats though i have no idea why that is

Apparently "Illuminate" is the placeholder Ability or if the Ability isn't recognized, according to this old post a few years back. Hope they fix in next month's Usage Stats.

The Illuminate stuff is fixed, thanks to those who pointed it out.
I'm aware that the gen9anythinggoes 1630 files didn't get created properly, but I'm not going to re-run them until the replays situation is resolved.

Inheritance stats still give out the ability as Illuminate, this does not happen to other OMs that affect ability legality.
This isn't a usage stats problem; Inheritance inserts gibberish in the battle logs instead of Ability names. If a format wants proper data it should be reporting Pokemon/moves/Abilities/items that actually exist.
Stats for December 18th-31st are now up! Full December stats will be ready in a few days, after I re-run VGC 2024 because it failed to process correctly.
Will usage stats (aka mons dropping or rising) be impacted by the first half of December's usage?
Nope, usage stats were already done based on what I linked above; as far as tiering is concerned December 1st-17th didn't happen. Having the whole month's stats available in /stats/ later is just for completeness' sake.
Whats the equivalent to 1630 elo on the PU ladder, only one person is above the actual phreshold, this because the “1630 elo” range in pu is what is used in the actual usage stats

Is there any consideration for rising things from UUBL to OU in the same way as rising the OU by technicality Pokemon? For gen 8 for example blaziken is easily over the margin, and there is no functional difference between UUBL and (OU).
oldgen tiers are locked after the gen ends, so current-day usage stats no longer cause rises and drops to occur. rising blaziken to ou would prevent uu from being able to retest blaziken or perform any other tiering action regarding it. movements between ou and (ou) are purely for convenience purposes and do not affect tiering in any way
