I COULD BE BANNED!
Did people forget Pecharunt has Recover and Parting Shot? LOL
Shouldn't Pecharunt be released in OU by now? Correct me if I'm wrong but since it's already programmed into Showdown it shouldn't take very long to do.
Oh shit I don't know why that wasn't appearing on my browserView attachment 591015
Yep, it's in.
Damn, this thing is fat to take those super effective hits so well. It might still drop, but it can have a niche in OU.The thing is, I don’t think it even needs to Tera.
252 Atk Great Tusk Headlong Rush vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Pecharunt: 204-242 (53.6 - 63.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0 Atk Gliscor Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Pecharunt: 108-128 (28.4 - 33.6%) -- 0.5% chance to 3HKO
252 Atk Sharpness Samurott-Hisui Ceaseless Edge vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Pecharunt: 144-170 (37.8 - 44.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
(no physical def investment)
252 Atk Great Tusk Headlong Rush vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Pecharunt: 260-308 (68.4 - 81%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0 Atk Gliscor Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Pecharunt: 138-164 (36.3 - 43.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 Atk Sharpness Samurott-Hisui Ceaseless Edge vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Pecharunt: 186-222 (48.9 - 58.4%) -- 97.7% chance to 2HKO
You also do a solid chunk of dmg to Gliscor via Hex.
0 SpA Pecharunt Hex (130 BP) vs. 244 HP / 12 SpD Gliscor: 157-186 (44.6 - 52.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Poison Heal
This thing has better physical bulk than Toxapex coupled with the ability to function as a pivot. Let’s also not underestimate how good base 88 speed is in the tier for a defensive poke. Right off the bat, you outspeed Tusk, Ghold, Glimm, Rilla, Hamu, and Rbolt. Since you are physical Blissey, you’re free to run speed evs and outspeed those threats without losing out massively of your physical bulk.
I don’t think it will be a top threat, but it shows promise.
I can see pecharunt doing defense curl and putting its head in between its two big ear things. I think it would be fun if while it was rolled up, it could use rapid spin but only then.I wish they gave Pecharunt Rapid Spin, it looks so round and spinnable…
Pecharunt Stat | Mon with higher of that stat |
---|---|
HP:88 | Slowpoke-Galar:90 |
Atk:88 | Grotle:89 |
Def:160 | Its tied 6th best in Def. |
Spa:88 | Crocalor:90 |
Spd:88 | Duskull:90 |
Spe:88 | Poliwag:90 |
BST:600 | It's tied 6th best in BST as well, its OK ig. |
Its a defensive mon, so honestly I think plain old Toxic is better than 8pp Malignant Chain which only has a 50% chance. Confusion fishing is even more annoying as well!So what's the set for Peach? I got this but I don't even know if outspeeding Gambit is necessary I just use that as the benchmark for all my defensive mons:
Pecharunt @ Leftovers
Ability: Poison Puppeteer
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 228 HP / 252 Def / 28 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Malignant Chain
- Hex
- Parting Shot
- Recover
Also... Regenerator. Calling this a side-grade to Glowking is a big stretch. This thing looks like it will be a great sidegrade to Slowking Galar. You trade Future Sight for absurd bulk and Parting Shot.
Regenerator is better than recover, it can be used more than 8 times. Y'all are severely overestimating this thing's capabilitiesPecharunt literally has a pivoting move though. And Recover.
King has Regenerator + Chilly Reception, while Runt has Recover + Parting Shot.
So Gking in UU.Just Parting Shot, since King learns Slack Off too.
Guarantee? It doesn't have anywhere as much utility compared to other poison types like Toxapex or Glowking. It will have niche in OU, but it will be UU or likely even RUPecharunt is pretty interesting, kinda sad its signature is only 8 pp though. Best set seems to be Pivot, spreading status and allowing team mates to easily switch in thanks to parting shot. Its physical bulk is amazing and will guarantee its stays in OU.
Nani?! Lookie Lookie at my Blissey!Pecharunt is pretty interesting, kinda sad its signature is only 8 pp though. Best set seems to be Pivot, spreading status and allowing team mates to easily switch in thanks to parting shot. Its physical bulk is amazing and will guarantee its stays in OU.
Toxic spreader, good typing and amazing stats with a flexible movepool and some interesting interactions (toxic + confusion). Is easily one of the best physical walls in the tier while at the same time acting as a great pivot thanks to parting shot, and having recovery.Guarantee? It doesn't have anywhere as much utility compared to other poison types like Toxapex or Glowking. It will have niche in OU, but it will be UU or likely even RU
Maybe because OU people are looking at the OU meta, not lower tiers which they probably don't main.I’ve noticed OU people have the tendency to label a new Mon trash based on that tiers standards but once it falls a bit it can settle nicely or becoming the dominating force in a lower tier.
