NOC 16P Role Madness Mafia (CANCELLED)

My opinions

I like m2h
I don't want to say the phrase "I like ImaginaryNeon" but he seems to be his typical townie at the moment
I like saber so far obviously I wouldn't expect someone new to have lots of content but the posts read town to me so far

Celever and fairy I think are very typical for themselves so far and I don't think there's a read to be made there

No one is setting off any suspicious bells to me yet

It can be a good lesson for those new to the game to try to form a process of elimination (POE), or at least to have an idea of how many misvotes the town realistically has in a game. It's a little bit hard in this case seeing as there is a 3rd party in the game. Assuming that we don't kill the third party early and both evil factions only kill townies, we only have 2 misvotes before we lose unless we block a kill, have a town vig, mayor roles, or roleblocker. This is a projection of what a worst case scenario would look like:

day 1: town voted (T12, M3, W1) 1
night 1: 2x town killed (T10, M3, W1)
day 2: town voted (T9, M3, W1) 2
night 2: 2x town killed (T7, M3, W1)
day 3: No vote
night 3: 2x town killed (T5, M3, W1)
day 4: town voted (T4, M3, W1)

Killing the wolf early, or alternatively the wolf and mafia cross-firing at each other would change the projection quite a bit. One unfortunate aspect of the wolf though is the wolf will likely be the hardest scum member to read because they don't have too much information (TMI) in the way that the mafia team does. The fundamental way mafia players are read is based on their reads seeming contrived, or the thought progression not making sense. The wolf player has no connection to other players in the game and thus does not have this weakness.

Assuming we did have the best case scenario and get the wolf day 1, we would have a few more misvotes in the worst case scenario from that point on.

day 1: wolf voted (T13, M3)
night 1: town killed (T12, M3)
day 2: town voted (T11, M3) 1
night 2: town killed (T10, M3)
day 3: town voted (T9, M3) 2
...
day 4: town voted (T7, M3) 3
...
day 5: town voted (T5, M3) 4
...
day 6: town voted (T3, M3) LOSE

My point being, we only have 2-4 misvotes, assuming that town PRs can't block a kill. This means to make the game relatively safe we need to identify a POE of between 6 and 8 people that contain all four scum players, a pretty tough task.

An alternative way of looking at the required win con for the town is this: we need to find between 9 and 11 people that are town without letting a mafia player or wolf player be a "mole." This is no easy task; however, smart use of power roles may be able to lower our required effort somewhat. But this is a clearly defined goal for us to work towards.
