You can. Laddering with stall early on was difficult. I bet it would be easier and would take less battles if you used offense.

I am going to make a sun stall team with Sub Protect Gliscor.
Mainly because I don't like volt/turn and sub protect gliscor beats it and beats tyranitar

I can do shiny breeds in Emerald, but mind you, I can't tutor DynamicPunch or Double-Edge.

Calm and Timid are currently slightly lacking, so I think you'll be alright. Move on if you really want to reset something later in the game, but persevere otherwise.
I can help you use that actual team when im not busy. Although I don't feel like building another team like it, or using dumb pokemon.

You really should be happy I am actually using it. I am going to hit 1400 with it.
This is like one of the only teams to actually make those 3 pokemon work. It is beyond extremely niche to cram all 3 of them on the same team, but I actually think it worked somehow. -
