    how does modern leftism / marxism account for climate change? prev. marxist revolutions have included industrialization, and there's nothing in sharing the means of production that means reducing the output of pollution. asking bc i dont know

    anticapitalism is inherently pro environmentalism in some fashion imo. as you become more people focused and less profit focused [by whatever means--socialism, anarchism, etc.], one of the many outcomes is more abiding agreements and regulations towards helping the earth. marx outlined specifically that we should work towards protecting the earth, even. i think that zedong, stalin et al. focusing on a more industrialist approach made some misconceptions wrt climate change in this lens, but it's pretty clear that engels/marx def were radical environmentalists. i can send links when im free this weekend
