Thanks, and I have C7C timer0, which you know already. There's no keypresses, so none. And you're right about what I'm going through. So far, I've conducted two tests to verify...but even then, I'm still lost.
After walking 128 steps:
First capture: Durant (Lv40), which is encounter slot 8, Male, with Ability 0. Assumed it was PID frame 329 until the next capture.
After saving once + walking 128 steps:
Second capture: Boldore (Lv39), which is encounter slot 1, Male, but not sure what ability - 0 or 1. Definitely not frame 330, but matches frame 322, which I doubt is the case.
Even tried adding 6 frames from walking 120 steps, but didn't get me anywhere. Hm...
