I remember my first Mudkip; I didn’t like the design of Marshtomp or Swampert so I kept it little and it learned Hydro Pump. I named it Snuggles. Then I let someone else play my game at Karate Camp and returned to find a frickin’ Marshtomp lol

And then you get into competitive and the number drops to about 10 ;) Seriously though, it’s really cool that you went to check this out. It furthers a theory I saw that a major reason for Pokémon’s is that it allows people to express their individuality within the community :)

I do think there’s like one or two npc’s who say something about lower stage Pokémon learning certain moves in the early games... But anybody who’s anybody has obviously already seen the anime episode where Ash goes up against Lt. Surge and learned about it through that, amirite?
