You know, I'm actually considering getting a Raticate in ASB. It has a surprisingly good movepool (considering its been around for five generations.) but the selling point is its abilities. It gets Hustle and Guts. With those two abilities, an Adamant Raticate's Facade (With Flame Orb on) will do 23.5 damage to any Pokemon with 3 defense (unless it's resisted; i consider 3 the average defense stat.)

Responding to a lurk from long ago, you should definitely get Crustle in ASB! It has good stats (I think it should get 4 attack personally) and access to Rock Wrecker. It also has Bug Bite, Fury Cutter, Bulldoze, and Aerial Ace; all very good attacks that are Sluggish-legal.
