What you're describing is still completely valid to create a competitive setting. It's basically an opinion statement that you personally prefer standard chess over this other game, not that the other game is flawed.

It's clear that not all Pokemon utilize the Dynamax mechanic equally. Most arguments for banning rightly center on the volatile nature of how the strongest abusers can plow through an entire team based on a lucky guess. However the mechanic actually does have good gameplay to it in many cases...

A little disappointing that this mon doesn't get suction cups both for flavor and because when you trap defensive mons with octolock, they can still phase you out

How about a surprise trapper set with roost/dive/whirlpool? And maybe defog in the last slot, or featherdance, scald, substitute etc. Just trying to make use of the reliable recovery along with with the % damage of gulp missile.

Any chance that a more general set is usable for this mon? Clearly the best set involves hail and Aurora veil but I wonder if this mon can do more since it has nice bulky statline and signature move. Fishious Rend + Body Slam seems like a good start if we can figure out what matchups this thing...

I use a LO set with 252 SpA/Spe in Wi-Fi, and it makes a great lead. Earth Power, Grass Knot, Focus Blast and Boil over give it amazing coverage, and destroys even the bulkiest pokemon like nattorei and tentacruel. Its a lot stronger and faster than I originally thought it would be.

I like this name, it's really clever how it takes that fact that it's a shrimp and glows and turns it into a cool name (Crevescent, say that out loud, it's fun isn't it :toast:). I also think by using all 10 allowed letters that also makes the name more elaborate and unique sounding.
