  1. Other XY OU Viability Ranking Thread (B- and C+ Pokemon discussion)

Where's Donphan at? And Mega-Ampharos? They deserve to be C rank at least, especially Mega-Ampharos for it's incredible ability to pivot.
  2. Pokémon Porygon2

I've been running an Offensive Trick Room set with download alongside Mega-Ampharos and it's been working very well. Amphy leads and uses Volt-Switch, and I may or may not switch into Porygon, who gets the boost to special attack, trick rooms, and then spams bolt beam for a few turns, although I...
  3. Other Good Cores

I use Mega Ampharos with Porygon2, and Trick Room as well, so once Porygon2 taps out Amphy can come and out speed everything with its behemoth special attack. Azumarill helps a lot with this core as well, for its resistance to fighting, ice, and dragon, and general all around ass-kickery.
  4. Other Dedicated Leads

While not a totally dedicated lead, I primarily lead with Mega Ampharos to slow-scout volt switch into an early sweeper like Bisharp or Porygon Z depending on what my opponent has on his team. Many times I'll recognize that my opponent will switch into a Ground pokemon, so I use Dragon Pulse or...
  5. Pokémon Ampharos

Many times I'll lead with Amphy to tank a hit and volt switch into something that can force a switch and buff itself, or mop up what's left after the volt switch, I also use Porygon2 and use Trick Room before it dies, and then proceed to absolutely dominate with Mega Amphy for the next 3 turns...
  6. Other Viable Megas

I really don't think that Mega-Kanga is AS good as everyone has made him out to be just because of a few glaring weaknesses, most notably Ferrothorn, one of the most common OU pokemon. As soon as Kanga comes out I predict a fake out, which against a rocky helmet ferrothorn is just beautiful...
  7. Pokémon Noivern

The biggest problem with Noivern is that so many people carry a poke with Ice Shard due to the need to kill Garchomp, Dragonite, and Gliscor. Noivern is just one more 4x Ice Weakness added to the list. It makes me regret not having an Ice Sharder on my team... Man, I gotta get me a Mamoswine.
  8. Pokémon Heracross

There are a few main things that people aren't actually considering that hinder Mega-Heracross. The ideal way to play him is probably through a Baton-Pass speed boost, which really even after a single +1 he's ready to take on the world. But the primary user of Baton-Pass nowadays is Scolipede...
  9. Pokémon Banette

MegaBanette should be used on teams where your mega choice was already not the ideal centerpiece for your team. She makes an excellent revenge killer, and then destiny-bond to death mon, securing a good 2 KO's. It would also be pretty smart to lead with Mega Banette, mega evolve it, and priority...
  10. Pokémon Kangaskhan

The recoil has been reduced backed down to 1/4th again I think. And Kangaskhan can really seem to take it well. Being burned IS a genuine problem, but after experimenting with Power-Up Punch Kangaskhan it just feels like it's almost always an unnecessary addition, she's just already so strong...
  11. Pokémon Kangaskhan

Instead of Power-Up Punch has anybody thought of using a bulky Kanga with Bulldoze and Rock Tomb for coverage which would also lower the opponents speed two stages? I'd probably pair it with Fake-Out and Double-Edge. Double-Edge is incredibly underappreciated on Kanga in this set. It KO's pretty...
  12. Other Predictions for good leads from the new pokemon?

Klefki as an idea just seems like a very good idea to me. It can set up spikes guaranteed twice with a sash, but more importantly is it's ability to set up spikes twice AND hopefully prankster itself in a Light Screen or Reflect to get the ball rolling defensively. The real choice would be a...
  13. Pokémon Kangaskhan

I'm really feeling like: Kangaskhan @ Kanghaskhanite Ability: Parental Bond (Scrappy before the Mega Evo) EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk Adamant Nature - Fake Out - Power Up Punch - Crunch - Double Edge I feel like that would be one of the best sets to run due to the obvious idea that the opponent...
