Glad it helped! As a rule of thumb, it is almost always better to raise HP first, then the corresponding defense, since HP gives both physical and special bulk, especially if the HP stat is much lower than the defensive one (e.g. Skarmory, Rotom & co). The only exception is Blissey, for...obvious reasons :D
