    Because Nintendo/Game Freak/Pokemon Company saw fit to realize that they do not want people to use an AR to hack their game. It very much relates to having people Jailbreak their iTouch/iPhone. But the diffrence is, Action Replay's are legal. But The company still wanted to put a firewall on the game to block the AR. But Datel, and the SR company saw a way to bypass this system, and that included incorporating an microSD, which goes through the Firewall.
