The argument here is where do you draw the line?
I would say for sure; if the choice is banning 1 pokemon to preserve an entire ability/playstyle; the answer is to ban the pokemon, as that is clearly the broken area. It's the old 'Speed Boost Blaziken' issue. Speed Boost didn't get banned...
I would not agree with the sentiment that Rookidee is S-Tier; it lacks the offense to get you through the game quickly. 2~3HKO'ing things isn't ideal; and yes, it dosen't faint, but that dosen't mean it's the most efficient choice. Also; I'd say it isn't even that good pre-Corviknight.
Looking at the new tutor moves and distributions; not much looks too relevant until we have Tapus and more Terrain setters; however.
Poltergeist looks potentially concerning, being a BP 110 Ghost move and Ghost being such a univerally great coverage type. Luckily it's a physical move and most...
I'm just going to say I'm concerned about Dracozolt [Bolt Beak wrecks everything that isn't Ground] and what Bolt Beak dosen't ruin is wrecked by Outrage.
About the only thing that can probobly handle Dracozolt's STAB combo is Steelix.
Likewise; Galarian-Corsola is going to be a pain and might...
I actually agree with the majority of what Twilight said above; however, I also feel like adding a bit to some of his points, mostly in the defense of certain pokemon. Because every argument needs both sides heard. Note this isn't me saying 'these pokemon are alright'. It's more me saying how...
Also; keep in mind that on top of the Gengar/Komoo-o bans; there's the Dynamax ban as well. That's quite the significant shakeup.
Also I assume we have a similar case with any rises to OU as with Dynamax last round, they won't actually apply until Round 4.
I've drawn you in Round 3 of the UU Tourny.
I'd personally like some more time to test things out post-DMax ban, and while I personally made it so far without Komoo-O or Gengar on my teams, you might want some time to tweak as well.
Wanna play on the weekend? 28th/29th? I'm GMT+0
Seeing people suggesting banning Gorilla Tactics instead of tackling Darmanitan itself may seem a bit off due to the Blaziken Precident; but it's different from Blaziken. Put simply; Blaziken is the wrong example to be bringing up regarding Darm/Gorilla Tactics.
Drizzle is very unlikely to even make it to UU. Pellipper is the only inducer, and there's also very few actual rain abusers. In fact, there's not even many good water-types in Gen 8 as a whole, and the majority of them are OU. The only Swift Swimmers in UU are Ludicolo; Mantine [Not an...
Beat LordHelix 2-0. GG on both ends. Funnily enough neither of us ever Dynamaxed because we were both defensive bulky teams.

To add to this; the HP boost of Dynamax generally helped shore up Intellion's garbage defenses enough that instead of getting KO'ed by any solid hit; it would usually be knocked into Torrent range.
And Torrent; STAB; Rain boosted Max Geyser spam really hurt.
