    Hey look, you make good points. Sorry for being rude earlier. I'll be honest and say I haven't use Vap much, but I have used it and HP Grass is effective. I just listed rest because it generally abuses that, and I wanted to keep it 3 attacks par with Gastro. Gastro doesn't need HP Grass whereas Vap does, and Gastro (since it gets Earth Power) doesn't need HP Grass and can opt for Counter, which is really good vs. Volt-Turn. You keep saying it's a waste of a move slot, and please just be honest with me, but have you used it? When I used it, I thought it was godlike because things like Latios that came in after U-turn instantly died, all because Volt-Turn is just so common this meta. I opt'ed for Specs Gastro and using recover on it sucks since your locked into it, and your forced to switch. Not to mention everything toxic's Gastro, which makes it hard to use recovery like Vap. However, I've always found that fighting Volt-Turn is much more useful than recovrey since the Specs Gastro wallbreaks and tends to break valuable walls or sweepers who don't expect the power behind Gastro. Gastro has that amazing bulk and can consistently live things anyway so I've never missed Recover. However, I'll admit I've never used LO Gastro (although I've seen it) and it may benefit from Recover more. Just want to point out that Gastro has around the same usage as Vap so I don't see your point when Vap is more surprising, since both LO / Specs offensive variants of Gastro and Vap have around the same usage: below 1%. So stop saying that Vap has more surprise factor: they're practically the same.

    You seem offended on the discussion and that was not my intent. I just find Gastro better since it beats VoltTurn and more or less performs Vap's job; it just can't heal. Also, I've found it annoying that I have to wait one turn before Vap wakes up if the weather changes, just my opinion on that. It's recovery is unreliable, but I would like to see the team you constructed around Vap so I can get a feel on how you deal with Volt-Turn.

    If it comes down to it; let's agree to disagree. I don't like making enemies on Smogon, so I apologize.
