o ok thanks, how do i join tounaments on this smogon thing, ive seen them but i cant seem to find where it says join here or something like that.

If you mean battle then you post in the battle me thread and then write down their fc(freind code) in your pal pad and talk to the middle person in the downstairs of the poke center.
