It's not absolutely necessary, but you have to understand that to get a perfect pokemon, you must have at least three perfect IVs from the parents. A perfect ditto can provide those three, even if the second parent is completely crap. The remaining three stats can be inherited "randomly" from the game. It's not really random. RNG Reporter can find the right time to get the three perfect stats from the parent and the other three from the game, not the second parent.

Yeah, after you've done that it's a matter of timing and adjusting the timer if you keep hitting certain delays.
You don't put anything in those two boxes; just create the timer (after inputting your Calibrated Delay, Wanted Delay, Calibrated Second, and Wanted Second) and Pikatimer will put numbers in there for you after you click the "Create Timer" button.

Yeah, but I cannot trade/receive files with classic ribbons. I do not used the flashcart method. However, you can email me a Bidoof or Sentret or whatever you have caught in a file you want the SID of.
