Yeah I know he can do that. I'm just saying what you answered didn't really answer his question. Your answer is just an alternative method to get what he wants in the end, but i'm sure him and other people want to know why his way didn't work when it should have.

For another example:

Guys, I wore a rain coat, but I still got wet, what gives?

Answer: Use an umbrella, then you won't get wet

While that is an alternative solution, it doesn't answer the original question.
