Yes, you should be. Or walk forward once without turning and sweet scent. Be careful using turns. If you press with the wrong pressure, you'll set off a walking step.
You could do it that way. Make sure you don't also turn when you walk, or you'll have two frame advancements. So start at one side of the room and face the direction you intend to walk.
