Well, I've been told programs interfere with it, so I'll probably try it again with like everything closed.

None of the emulators I've found seem to suffice, though.
If it is O.K. with you there is an easier way to chat. Go to my profile page andopen the about me window. Click my thread and look in the first section. you should see something called smogonwifi or just smogon. click it and log in and we can chat in real time.
