UU Monotype is an OM Based on the usage of the Monotype Ladder that doesn't allow Pokémon due to high usage in similar vein to usage-based tiers like OU, UU, and RU. This would mean certain Pokémon like Chien-Pao, Kingambit, and Gouging Fire with high usage on the SV Monotype ladder would not be allowed. A resource document has been developed to outline the Pokemon not allowed by typing. Feuille 1 shows specifically the Pokemon that are banned in this metagame while Feuille 2 compiles a list of Pokemon allowed with a preliminary VR. This has also been categorized by typing thanks to Fírnen. Espathra has been banned from UU Monotype.
Darkrai benefits in a metagame where its not overshadowed by prominent Dark-types like Chien-Pao, Kingambit, and Meowscarada. Although Dark Void received a nerf from 80% accuracy to 50%, Darkrai has access to an alternative option in Hypnosis. Darkrai benefits from Hypnosis by inflicting Pokémon by 15.% (100 HP/8) damage for each turn that Pokémon stays asleep in front of Darkrai. With a high-speed tier, special attack, and access to Nasty Plot this Pokémon on paper can be a threatening special breaker. The council will be looking at this Pokémon more closely.
Spectrier is a speedy Ghost-type that notably has Grim Neigh which rewards itself with a Special Boost when it secures KOes. Spectrier also has good utility in Substitute which allows it to dodge status conditions, setup in Calm Mind or Nasty Plot, and Will-O-Wisp + Hex. Overall this Pokémon on paper can be pretty dangerous in this metagame so we will be keeping a close eye on it.
