Claiming act. Opponent has not responded for several days and hasn’t been online for a week.

Yo my opponent and i were struggling to schedule times but im trying to get ahold of him but he wont respond.. partly because of our timezones which are very unfortunate fo each other.. what should i do?

Howevery ive been asking him for a whils to battle and he hasnt responded so ill claim act win if he doesnt respond

just an fyi, your opp called act earlier, so either agree on a time or this might get coinflipped, idk who’s in the right

Bro did not give me a time.. he said something about his tz and then said figure it out i was confused and hes not showing up anymore when im asking to battle now

Maybe they’re not free right now, perhaps get an extension and try to work out the timezone issue bc i don’t these act calls are very justified

Smudge was present at the scheduled time with SeaWolfMikes
Comedier is being given the win in their dispute. Props for actually knowing your timezone in GMT and giving specific ranges of availability in order to get the game played.

Tf??? Yo he didnt show up tho and i told him where my timezone is at. I said where i lived and that it was central if my thing is just one search away his is too because i provided information

Hes the one not responding when im asking a battle. And also with all that supreme knowledge he didnt suggest a time to fight even once.. he made me do it this doesnt seem fair at all

Its kinda wack they giving ppl the win even tho im the one whos asked to battle while he has just said schedule a time kinda vaguley.. they just kinda doing me dirty and i didnt even lose by playing.. but i gotchu tho

hi, some notes on how to schedule better

1. your opponent scheduled very effectively, they listed a) their timezone (you are expected to make this conversion on your own) b) their availability and c) good times for them
2. from there, your job is to convert the timezone and figure out if this time works for you, and if not propose an alternate time within a reasonable time frame

you had 0 understanding of timezone conversions and were actively difficult when you scheduled with your opponent. in the future, your timezone is gmt/utc -5. we do timezones in terms of their relation to GMT rather than "cst" or "est" because that way it's just simple math to figure out the time difference rather than making it more inconvenient for both parties involved.

a good way to schedule is to say "hi we play in (insert tour name here) i'm (timezone in terms of GMT)" and if you have any restrictions on availability (for example "i can't do this weekend/i need to play on the weekend") or times that work best for you. doing this immediately and clearly is the best way to avoid activity calls like the one you just got
